I'm not sure why you're taking such a point against this. MOS said the running game isn't a problem for our D. It clearly is as evidenced again where another CFL team just runs roughshod over us. they didn't run roughshod over us, they did run effectively at key points which killed us.

Actually my hunch, and a hunch it is, he's released in the near future to make room for another RB. As I've said before, one of the most cruel positions to have in the CFL.

I'll reiterate what a few others have already said... even if we "airlifted" in 4 or 5 NFL cuts, the chances of even one of them playing and making a difference at this point in the season is very low... I disagree if we're talking about an O-Lineman... I think if there's an opportunity to bring in a lineman that can make a difference and help our run game, the brass would be stupid not to. It's our weakest spot. Sure there's going to be a learning curve, but I don't agree that an "airlifted" O-lineman couldn't make a quick impact if he's got the talent! But they inserted someone from the PR onto the OL and hasn't our running game looked better the last couple weeks? Even facing one of the tougher defensive lines in the league? The problem with the o-line right now seems more a ratio one than not having americans who can do the job. They absolutely need to bring some guys in... but I am curious about the players that are already on the practise roster. Can they play at all? If they can why have we stuck with retreads who aren't doing much like Romby Bryant, if they can't play why are we still wasting time on them? The idea that bringing in NFL cuts is going to improve out starters is wishful thinking, but it might improve your depth and long term prospects. I think depth is the only thing we can realistically plan on. The track record of plug-in-play NFL cuts half way through the year into systems being tweaked and modified doesn't usually work out that great. If certain Bomber personal find players who instantly shine to the CFL game and to our system, we need to sign them to a long-term contract.

How? Well Wild is injured, so if we cut Kuale then there is at least one defensive formation we can't run. Unlikely Kuale goes anywhere this year. You're better off hoping he gets less snaps once Wild is healthy, or that we go Wild-Kromah for the rest of the year. Given the apparent complexity of the defence, replacing a MLB would not be as simple as it would be in a Greg Marshall 4-3. That's almost plug and play. This requires familiarity. You can cut Kuale easily. Give his spot on the roster to Sears because despite Sears being smaller he does nothing but make plays. Kuale does nothing but take penalties and show up a second late to make a play. Good plan until Sears goes down which history tells us it will be sooner than later. I really like Sears to but not his dependability in being able to play.

It is a statistic. Nothing more. Sometimes it directly reflects what happened in a game, sometimes it does not. Might as well look at a passer rating and try to do play-by-play off of it. Where would you place the importance of establishing a run, i.e, usually one indicator being yards produced? My educated guess and a guess it is, is that usually when a QB throws for over 250/300 yds in a game, the run game has produced as well, say over 80 yds.

Kuale is crapping the bed both with his play and mouth but Labbe was not totally better, great guy I'm sure but very very average skill. He was as equally frustrating to watch but in a much different way than Kuale is.

I would have rather played Lulay. Lulay will never be the same. He'll be lucky if he retains sensation in his arm after so many shoulder surgeries. Wonder if B.C. will go with Glenn or go after someone else. Tebowmania Reborn! This is exactly the reason why they signed Glenn, so they wouldn't be scrambling to sign someone. This is a perfect situation for Glenn. The CFL needs more guys like Lulay and not just from a talent point of view.

The competition at defensive line and receiver was abysmal, arguably two of the easier spots to find players along with running back. I'm fine with giving a pass on finding Canadians, that takes time, but literally no one was found at receiver and one guy was found at DL, a guy who has been pretty marginal. Mack found Jeffers-Harris, Carr, Denmark and Matthews in his first 3 seasons, Hopkins, Turner, Vega, Hall, hell even a guy like Kenny Mainor. I've seen nobody close to any of those guys. Hopefully we start seeing some guys at those two spots that give us some hope for being useful players when we'll be a great team, cause Bryant and Kelly sure won't be those guys, and Greg Peach probably won't be either. Peach's play sure has dropped over the last 4 or 5 games.

From what we saw of him here in Edmonton, not a great and consistent tackler. I don't even think the eskiblows want him back.

imo, coaches don't get off that easy because of injury as you suggest. Of course it has a tremendous effect but this is where good coaches really do earn their salary. And management who need to build depth.

I think Bryant made it past the cut off and is paid to the end of the year whether he plays or not. Assuming it's true he's playing next game, then his statline in the Banjo Bowl better read 11 rec 125 yds 3 tds. No pressure Romby.

That's football 101. The assumption I'm making is Etch is devising defensive packages to fit with the players he has not trying to fit his existing players into a scheme he believes would work . I would hope this assumption is true..

Good gracious, this is exhausting. The DB did not turn his head in the direction it needed to be, not one bit. Not only did he use his arm to screen, he ran threw the player prior to the ball arriving as the replay clearly shows. This is not borderline PI as some are suggesting. This is not homerism as some are suggesting. This is not running counter to the rule book as some are suggesting. It's PI plain and simple, they should take a still photo, place it in the rule book to provide a visual. Seriously. And yes, if it had been say Randle doing this, Riders are at the one, Ist and Goal.

actually I don't think it's unreasonable for fans to expect us make the playoffs. It's a two way street and I would say the winnipeg market has been extremely patient with this team but is predictably very fragile.

One thing you are forgetting here is the intangible. O'Shea keeps saying how much faith he has in his team but when the crunch comes he throws his faith in away. We can't say they would have scored because it never happened but they would not have had the time they got to do it. I don't think your comment was appropriate. This is a forum. How did he throw the faith away? He said to the team, Ok take the lead and defense go win the game. He showed complete trust in his defense to win the game. They failed.it's called interpretation and perspective. One could also see it as "I'm not sure how much faith I have in us getting one yard therefore I chose we kick and rely on our prevent defense" but at the end of the day none of us are in O'Shea head to really know that.
