  1. There's the lure though for the higher skilled guys wanting to play for teams willing to do that. They want to be one of those 3 guys.
  2. Yup large market teams make it very difficult for small market teams to thrive. 'Hey it's great to play here' is no match for 'that brinks truck out there is for you'.
  3. It would be interesting to hear the conversation between O'Shea and Hall going over game tape. Im sensing a lot of D players are being inserted under the bus and not his schemes/adjustments. Probably a-lot of 'I drew it for them to be in a position of success, they didn't execute'. Classic coach statement when the heat is on. Sometimes its actually true but in this case excuses are running thin for coach based on his body of work over the last few years.
  4. Someone also needs to talk to Loffler. Loffler's mindset is look/play for the kill shot when form tackles would be more effective. I believe his current mindset is negatively influencing all other facets of his game he is responsible for other than crushing people. E.g., The Tabbie RB made him look foolish and picked up an extra 7 yards because of it. Loffler is going away from his fundamentals and its killing him.
  5. pound the ball with Harris against the wind. Harris catches fire when he's profiled. mix in some QB sneaks. My armchair qb is in full swing.
  6. wideside flat open all half. Hall needs to force Masoli to look inside.
  7. Trust the process. Trust the process. Trust the process. Amen.
  8. Unfortunate for any athlete. Hope he can resume next year if thats his goal.
  9. As well, the young up and comer football fans like my son (14) share that sentiment. Not good if you're trying to attract the younger generation. Make a CFL video game already.
  10. Some of us are just feeling good about the direction this team seems to be heading. We're allowed. It's been a while. No, we're not mapping out the Grey Cup Parade route yet but our mindset is changing from 'next year is our year' to 'this year is our year'.
  11. These nine simple words work magic for an organization when it happens.
  12. Concussions also happen to the aggressor because he leads with his head. At the grassroots level we are trying to rectify that but sometimes the pro level can do a huge in-service to us as our players watch these pro defenders lead with their head to get the kill shot where all they needed to do was rip, wrap and roll.
  13. True but you are sort of implying he may not be relevant or an integral piece. Imo, right now he is no where near a fifth receiver. My guess, he'll retire before that happens.
  14. I'll state the obvious, Streveler's quick and accurate release is a fine attribute to have playing in the CFL.
  15. Saw the clip on TSN where Mike Sherman was talking about his starting QB in Willy. Not a very glowing endorsement and how it differed to O'Shea's description about Streveler. Loved O'Shea's line that Streveler isn't a rookie anymore.
  16. To answer your own question, ask, how many other teams would instantly pick up Dressler if he was available? That's how relevant he is.
  17. True but how much has 'lots of yards given up, under 20 points against' happened under Hall's tenure? I'm sensing not much but if so, I sit corrected. I personally despise with great passion 'bend don't break' approaches whether its meant or not, I feel they tend to actually break at the most inopportune times.
  18. Do you watch the whole thing? She claimed that this enforcement of zero tolerance was protecting children from parents/guardians they (being the children) didn't want to be with (implying bad/abusive parents/guardians who are smuggling unwilling children over for human trafficking, sex slaves etc) and that CNN was guilty of playing audio tapes of children crying and not reporting these facts she just presented of how many missing children and abused children there are because of previous administrations who had open border policies that led to not protecting these children.
  19. 4-0 against the East.
  20. Kids don't do drugs or this to could be you.
  21. He was so confident he even let reporters in on his secret in Singapore when he said that he believed Kim would follow through on vague commitments to denuclearize but would just change his story if the North Korean leader fell short. "I may stand before you in six months and say, 'Hey, I was wrong.' I don't know that I'll ever admit that, but I'll find some kind of an excuse," Trump said. Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN
  22. Which he would take credit for claiming that's what he intended to do all along.
  23. The defense I'm hearing (in this case I heard it from Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Sarah Sanders) is its 1) parents of these children, 2) The countries they are coming from and 3) the Democrats who are to blame for these separations. 1) Parents because they are putting their children at risk by trying to cross the border illegally, 2)Certain countries because they have lax enforcement rules and are not stopping their citizens from trying to cross illegally into the US and finally 3) The Democrats who for years have failed to enforce the laws that have been on the books for 10+ years.
  24. Deep State that's why.
  25. No its never difficult especially if you have to go to work in Edmonton today.
