  1. I came across a piece from Ed Yong, a staff writer from the Atlantic who covers science and did a piece on this gross plague. The piece is called: Why the Coronavirus is so confusing: A guide to making sense of a problem that is now too big for any one person to fully comprehend. It's a fairly long read but it does read and feel, at least to me, quite objective in a matter of fact way not a all is great or all is bad type tone. Sorry my lack of IT ability couldn't insert the link. Anyone interested I'm sure can just do a google search or insert the link for me with with my thank you in-advance.
  2. I’m covered in Jesus’ blood!”-Unnamed churchgoer in Ohio Don't worry he's covered.
  3. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Vice President and Second Lady of the United States of America.
  4. I’ve been saying that a lot since this thing took hold. Most of us get we need to stay informed, be aware, understand the complexities and adjust our behaviour accordingly but opinion pieces that serve up constant debbies with their click bait doom and gloom headlines (often created by someone else other than the author) serve no useful purpose imo. Most of us get this is serious but writing and entitling a piece with anxiety laden text doesn’t help us. Sometimes it’s not what you are saying or writing, it’s how you are saying or writing it that’s important.
  5. I’m looking equally forward to having Prince Jared and Princess Ivanka thrown out of the castle and into the moat. Is that bad of me?
  6. WTF OMG FFS
  7. She hid her bags of money quite well in this video.
  8. Really? With his track record with what comes out of his mouth, you wouldn’t have believed it without audio video? At this stage most just shrug their shoulders when they hear a report of his latest lunacies.
  9. As I've said before, the most infuriating thing to me with this guy are the intelligent people who remain undecided on whether they would support him or not. Not the zealots, not the "I'd vote for him no matter what' type people, it's the the intelligent ones that have shone they critically think. That's beyond mindboggling and maybe I've overestimated them somehow, maybe he is truly showing some peoples real colours we have never seen before. This has NOTHING to do with differing political ideologies, differing policy positions, stances on socialism versus capitalism, health and crime issues etc. I wouldn't want him coaching my sons football team, not because he may see sfootball differently than some others, it's because I would fear for my son's and his teammates safety and wellbeing along with the other teams and their fans, along with all the referees , all the football officials, media, anyone who comes in constant contact with him. I work in the area of leadership and team development, I don't pretend to know everything and I'm always learning more about human beings and how they operate and thus far everything I've come to learn and experience shows that if you do everything opposite of what he does, all will be good.
  10. This is suffocating to watch.
  11. That infuriates me.
  12. Or post them in a thread entitled 'Fiction'.
  13. If true, then the "I like fishing and want more time with my young family' reason wouldn't completely make sense to me. Because whether its playing here or with the Wild, his hockey commitment would remain the same, taking away time from his fishing/family. Again, none of my business and we are just chatting here but if he signs with another team in the near future you'd think it's more than just wanting to be closer to home and fishing location preference.
  14. I thank Buff for the years of entertainment. While playing he was my fav Jet 2.0. It’s not my business why he walked away however if he signs with another team In short order I will be curious in why he didn’t want to play with us anymore.
  15. Trump’s insanity tested their ‘systems in place’ and it broke.
  16. Susan Collins is disturbed.
  17. Unfortunately all this will do is infect a portion of them in which they will infect others and so on and so on increasing the spread that the majority won’t be life threatening (some will tho probably those who doesn’t deserve it) but will increase the number of people requiring hospitalization maxing out their healthcare resources.
  18. Yup I agree. And in normal sane times I get your point about moderates. However this is no longer about politics and differing perspectives that have levels of merit on their own. This is about a madman surrounded by people cut from the similar ilk. Therefore I’m starting to question people who consider themselves moderates who haven’t made up their minds yet. I look at them the same way my dog looks at me when it’s not understanding what I’m doing.
  19. Read a tweet some days ago that simply stated: 'Someday we will be reading his obituary'.
  20. That madman (and the rest of them) are multimillionaires because they feed off the vulnerable, easily led and cognitively challenged people. Maddening and suffocating.
  21. I’m just more curious why you end some of your sentences with ha?
  22. Please don't punch a baby unless it uses the word media inappropriately then by all means.
  23. Not to mention the fact of how the word 'media' is used in such a general nebulous way, overlooking and/or ignoring the complexities of how media works.
  24. I'm usually with you on things. Not here. That's not the way I interpreted it, i.e., them treating the COVID as a slight delay to the season. I see this as a staged cancellation/postponement approach as new data comes in versus just cancel everything now. In two weeks, maybe they say August. Another month they say cancelled, who knows, but it does keep some of us hopeful that something can be salvaged this year knowing we may not be able to. I guess the ongoing discussion here is what's the threshold where the pin needs to be completely pulled on seasons that were paused and upcoming seasons to be played. Right now I still have a sliver of hope that something can happen where we can get sport back this summer/fall. No false hope just wait and see, hope for the best prepare for the worst.
  25. They'll use their goto card: thousands and thousands of jobs will be lost if you don't provide a 'stimulus'. They're too big to fail default that continues to buffer them when supply and demand works against them.
