  1. Hmmmm if we had tried all three choices, I.e., Zac starts, plays then gets injured, sit Zac, put in Rookie, doesn’t work, sit rookie, put in JD, doesn’t work, we lose. Then your above statement about we doomed would be factual. But we didn’t use our depth, we chose to stay with an injured finger hard to throw Zac. We will never know what would have happened i.e No one will ever know for sure regardless of one’s opinion of what would have happened if we had sat Zac and deployed our depth.
  2. My guess is they tighten up a bit when EC is in influencing their focus on their offensive game.
  3. I really like your first sentence but then with this bolded part of your post ironically, whether it is your intention or not, you're doing the same sort of thing you complain about others, i.e., not focusing on the positive, being hopeful etc.
  4. Except me. I'm perfect at being unbiased and me writing this in response to the bolded part above proves that. 🙂
  5. Yea I looked him up on the worldwide web after thinking about him and there you go. Nice.
  6. Reading this I'm like why would a former Bomber care about a reference that Flyers suck? What am I missing? Was he a Flyers fan back in the day? Than I'm like well that's because it's Michael Richardson. Mike Richards is a former NHL'r. Ahhhhh. How did you even recognize the guy? Oh and btw the Flyers continue to suck to this day!
  7. Imho I think the only time it makes sense to say and there goes our shutout is when there’s about 7 minutes to go in the third. Just a useless opinion of mine:)
  8. Yup gone are the days that one of your Canadians must be (insert spot/position). Like you said, sort out the ratio once you have secured the best available players you could that were in your means of doing so.
  9. MOS travelling with the Toronto Maple Leafs on a Mentors trip? Okay, in unrelated news, fire MOS is gathering steam. 🙂
  10. Half empty, half full who cares, just make the damn playoffs. Do not look any further than that. Once that's achieved win 16 games. Easy peasy.
  11. Garrett is never impressed with Jets, a bit of a hate on. Probably all those years playing us. Oh and can someone tell Stanley to STOP SCREENING THE GOALIE.
  12. Didn’t realize TM now coaching the Wings. Time for Perfetti to shine.
  13. Now that you have written this I see the in near future headline now. Veteran presence back in the fold. Bombers are all in and bring back two important pieces for another run at the Cup.
  14. Incoming non controversial take: Argos smell putrid. Happy New Year!
  15. Said with pinky up sipping Earl Grey scoffing at the commoners.
  16. We have 60 more penalty minutes than the Avs do to date. Stay out of the box. When did Blackwood become a great goaltender? Don’t remember him being elite or was it a porous D he use to play behind? Be nice if Comrie could steal us a W or at least let one in fewer than Blackwood and inject a bit more confidence in him being a legitimate back up goalie to the best goalie in the league. He hasn’t seen a W lately.
  17. This example falls under my category positioning.
  18. The funny thing is we get a hard time from other fans saying without Helle Jets are bottom feeders completely ignoring the fact we could use the same argument with their teams best players. It’s laughable. We invested in goaltending, other teams chose to invest in other areas. That’s what GM’s are paid to do and see where the chips fall from their decisions.
  19. Stanley is gradually, slowly getting better, making some smart plays when there’s limited pressure, he’s a big body with a physical presence the Jets need on D but, and there’s always a but especially here with this player, teams are exposing his lack of speed and his slowness to react to a play unfolding (especially when he is on the pk). His inability to consistently box out his man is troubling, his knowing when to pinch and when not to, his positioning all need vast improvement to play at this level. You’re never comfortable watching him when teams are forechecking and applying pressure.
  20. Ok didn’t know that. Now I know. Liked what I saw.
  21. Im liking these Pred commentators. Not over the top homers, balanced coverage, good insights.
  22. Watching the Pred commentators do their thing among the Jet fans I’m reminded yet again how some human beings are so drawn to stand, gawk and/or do unusual things at television cameras. I find it funny yet depressing all at the same time.
