  1. So I’m sensing this frustrates you?
  2. Yup we got Rocky Butlered once again.
  3. From Sportnet: "Last game, we were like a 50-50 team, is the best way I can put it. There was 50 per cent of our guys that I thought really worked really hard and were committed and then I don't think we had enough from the other 50. And he would fall into that category," Huska said about the decision to scratch Sharangovich, per Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia. "You can't make a 50 per cent change, but certain areas that weren't acceptable, we can change a few. So it happened to be him." Ryan Huska, who comes across to me as calm personable articulate kind man, sort of the opposite of a guy like John Tortorella, sends a message to a player. It was how he said it that impressed me. I think our man MOS, who is an outstanding football coach, could learn from other professional coaches like Huska where sometimes it's not what you're saying, it's how you say it that is tres important. And I'm sure Huska has also had an in locker-room direct convo with his player (s) balancing in-house matters that stay in-house with using other venues to send needed messages to his players. Oh and I hope we pound the Flames tonight. 🙂
  4. Nope unfortunately unless I missed him getting an assist.
  5. He must practice those moves in a mirror. Okay give me my ‘fighting thru an injury’ look, okay here’s my ‘what a warrior’ move and finally my ‘this score is not my fault’ pose.
  6. I see nhl refs are taking cues from cfl refs in taking their time blowing their whistles. This is where we miss Buff after forsberg takes out JM with a questionable elbow or clean hit.
  7. A tear came to my eye hearing that the Jets new mantra on the pk is to be more aggressive.
  8. oh good gawd 1st period intermission with more fawning over the Habs and their coach MSL. I actually like him but this is cringe.
  9. What an athletic no look knockdown by 55 than 81 turning Nashville’s D man into a pretzel as the color commentator puts me to sleep.
  10. Wow sportsnet really pumping the tires of the habs. Fawning over them. The market must be telling them there’s money in thar hills.
  11. Okay I'll meet you half way. Sit ZC, play CS a half and TW a half.
  12. Yup, I'm completely with you on this. If the motto is make sure certain starters are not hurt before the playoffs, play him. It's the perfect time to see what he's got, not only for the playoffs in case he's forced into play, but for the future. Like a mini try-out. But I also read from some around here that they believe he doesn't have the necessary tools to play as a starter in this league. Let's say that's true and the BB's also think that way then to me that's even more frustrating and suggests that someone in the coaching/management/scouting department needs to step up their game.
  13. Yup you're right I should have qualified it by saying barring injury that forces the player out of course.
  14. Controlling for our existing talent that fills our starting positions (i.e., not talking about any player), what position on O, on D and and on ST's can have the least minimal impact to its lack of consistent productivity? In other words, what positions can we hide our worst players on all three phases of the game? The answers probably are influenced by the Head Coach, OC, DC and ST Coach approaches right? Oh I have a few assumptions but I actually don't know the answer cuz that's past my pay grade when it comes to the X's and O's of football.
  15. Barring injury of course.
  16. I was referring more to our boy JT. 🙂
  17. Bigger picture it might of done this organization some benefit long term if Edmonton had indeed snuck by us and eliminated us from post season play. This would have dictated/forced what our off season would need to look like in how we need to make some changes to the genetic makeup of this club at all levels. Now making the playoffs might be a false positive that fakes us into continued complacency with minimal changes. But if we win it all this year, I take everything back. 🙂
  18. I'd add the Argos to your list but that's being taken care of already. 🙂
  19. The ole 'players aren't executing versus the coach aint doing **** to help' debate.
  20. I didn't listen to the post game presser but would it be fair and reasonable for our Head Coach to break out of his protective mode and challenge our players and communicate to the world outside the locker-room that currently this team is pretty average, not a very good team in what our expectations are as an organization and we need to get better real quick if we're going to make any noise in the post season? I'm all for keeping certain things in-house where tough love is only seen behind the scenes while only generic things are said to the media but maybe tweak that a bit to light a fire, a sense of urgency, pride whatever?
  21. The only thing I can think of, and I'm being gracious ,is opposing D's watched the game tape and schemed to take it away?
  22. Social media where we take something good and turn it into bad nicely summed up with those seven words.
