  1. Durant didn't have many viable options, and neither did the Bombers for a credible backup. That said, Durant potentially gives us the best backup we have for a long while. Yes, he's a gamble but he has had success, and I'm happy to have him here.
  2. Now, now. Control your libido.
  3. YAAAAY!!!!
  4. You could do the job yourself as the Scottish sheepherders do.
  5. Allen had the benefit of playing for good teams, and Glenn did not, but Allen could extend plays with his legs and improvisations.
  6. If the Bomber bird-dogs cannot find either a good QB prospect or a good MLB prospect, the lot ought to be half-hanged. drawn, quartered and replaced with nutless monkeys
  7. Maybe, but Bridge has some battlefield experience- Adams is still unknown for the most part.
  8. But if it comes down to either having Bond on the O-line with Hurl at MLB, or Neufeld or another NI on the O-line with a good import MLB, I would go with option "B".
  9. With some misgivings, I would be interested in Bridge as a project QB, but only if he was willing to work on the deficits in his game. God knows, he couldn't be worse than LeFevour or Davis.
  10. Ummm...no. Even if our backups were zeros, Nichols is ten or close, and none of the QBs under contract in Regina rate higher than a 3, we are waaay ahead.
  11. Isn't disgruntlement what happens when a pig retires?
  12. Since when is the salary cap a consideration in Regina?
  13. Damn. Once again, they didn't take my advice.
  14. Talk about damning with faint praise.
  15. Sooo....you're saying I don't get a vote?
  16. Straughan and Bauman looked very interesting, but we will see.
  17. I will be disappointed but not shocked if either or both are still here at training camp. Even in his dotage, McManus would be a better option.
  18. Then Bomber fans need to have barf bags passed out at every home game.
  19. Re: the Bond vs Randall debate. We have one very good quarterback on hand two ..umm...questionable ones to protect and Bond has been a valuable and solidifying presence on the O-line. On the other hand, despite Randall's efforts, our backfield got lit up a lot once again. So, close as it might seem, my vote goes to keeping Bond.
  20. Is this sort of like slowly eating a live toad first thing in the morning? 'Cause then nothing worse will happen for the rest of the day?
  21. Only if that would get Drew Willy back.
  22. God. Picking through Rider leftovers- are the Bombers that desperate/inept?
  23. Sorry, all. Don't know how that happened- it wouldn't post, then posted 4x.
  24. I wouldn't rule that possibility out.
  25. I am also a fan of a QB who can scare the opposition as a threat to run and run well, if that is the best option. I suspect that the door is closing for Bridge to sow that he can be a legitimate starter. Its now or never for him.
