  1. He sure flamed out against the Bombers in the playoffs.
  2. Fighting off rabid coyotes (indistinguishable from Rider fans) all the way.
  3. The business part of pro sports sucks sometimes.
  4. But at 4.66 for the 40 yard dash, he's not a burner. Pretty versatile, though.
  5. William Stanback has hit the street. Pot, meet kettle, kettle, meet pot.
  6. I hope Walters is right on top of this. Kongbo would probably have to take a cut, though.
  7. Agreed. No one is promising a starting role to either Gray or Kolankowski or even that they will survive training camp or not be traded. Que sera, sera.
  8. We seem to be totally discounting Barriere as a possible Q2. His CV is impressive enough.
  9. Apart from perhaps the kicker, they sound like training camp bodies.
  10. Barring a miracle of biblical proportions, I suspect it will come down to either Oliveira or Shoen. Can't decide which I would prefer.
  11. And he will not be alone.
  12. I would think that the percentage of the salary that would be forgiven under the cap should reflect what percentage of the snaps that were taken during the season and playoffs.
  13. What if the salaries of any starting NI over and above the minimum wouldn't count under the salary cap?
  14. Oliviera being a local works both ways. Do not underestimate the value of being home and the comfort of familiarity and lower cost of living, not to mention the presence of family and old friends. Money isn't everything, not to mention having an o-line capable of protecting him and extending his playing career and post-CFL body health.
  15. Agreed. Every decision is a compromise.
  16. Considering the cost of that stuff, I'm surprised it needs to be replaced this soon.
  17. Good but not great. He will catch on somewhere at a discount.
  18. That's easy. Drive from Coutts Alberta to Fort Mac in a electric Volvo wagon with bumper stickers that say, "I'm gay, I voted for Trudeau and I'm coming to take your guns away." You may not survive, but you will be infamously remembered.
  19. At least someone acknowledged your existence as an Argo fan.
  20. You're not old until you stop buying green bananas and no longer buy underwear in a three-pack because one might be enough.
  21. Kenny Lawler restructures contract with Winnipeg Blue Bombers By John Hodge - January 16, 2024 Photo: Reuben Polansky/3DownNation. All rights reserved. Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ receiver Kenny Lawler has restructured his contract for the 2024 season, per league sources. The six-foot-two, 199-pound target received a $150,000 signing bonus to ink his new deal, which includes $115,000 in base salary, a $13,800 housing bonus, and a $7,200 travel bonus. In total, Lawler will earn $285,000 in hard money this year. The 29-year-old was originally slated to earn $310,000 in 2024, though he’s expected to net more on his new deal as signing bonuses are taxed at a lower rate for American players. He had a $125,000 off-season roster bonus due on Monday, Jan. 15, which led to his deal being renegotiated.
  22. Streveler straight up for Dru Brown and Prukop? Upgrade in my books. Does it bring back too many bad memories?
