  1. and to be honest..to further agree on that, I hardly recall Alexander blitzing, he was taking things away with coverage...Maston took over the role of blitzing and did very well in doing so...we played a limited and pretty predictable defence with Loff and Hecht...by necessity and due to their limitations
  2. ye true...But Loffler's cover skills were putrid...rarely in a position to make or defend a play properly
  3. Yeah having a cover guy there as opposed to basically just run support, which was what we were getting from Loffler, and later Hecht allowed us to do a lot more coverage and scheme wise last year.
  4. Of the two DB's looking at NFL opportunities I would say Sayles will have a better chance, or more likely a chance at an offer moreso than Rose. Rose albeit very good, does not fit the mold they look for as an NFL db visually/staturewise...which is BS as the NFL fixates too much on this stuff, but it's the CFL's gain for these tweeners and smallish guys they turn nose down on. Sayles may get a camp invite, but have a hard time seeing him stick though, did a few PR stints and being 25 now, will be competing for a roster spot/PR spot with draftees...both guys are in tough, and may be gone till mid-season, but can see them back at some point
  5. So many good memories in important games at our alternate home stadium....so many
  6. Yeah...total hater now
  7. Seen him spewing BS on their site..I couldn't be bothered to retort back
  8. was there....but no workout as he can't at moment as he is still knicked up and unable to
  9. obviously I am bored at work btw
  10. I fixed the above clipping for the Rider media...
  11. Mine is that it should be "shitty"
  12. couple weak assed teams
  13. to keep the position,,,and god knows why one freely shoose to live there, you have to act uneducated and for lack of a better term...dumb as well as say outrageous things to keep the fan base happy and think they are the creme de la creme of all things CFL....Or there will be more telethons on the horizon
  14. All i can say to that if true..WTF for????
  15. As per Adam Bighill...explains a lot of what we saw on the field at the Grey Cup eh? “We were practicing outside every single day, they were practicing inside every single day,” Bighill said from Winnipeg. “They started their Day 1 practice finishing the practice with victory formation, so their mindset was different from ours. I’ll definitely say that. “We have the blue collar mindset and we’re not afraid to put in the work. We’re not afraid of the weather. We truly had a really strong mentally, and physically, tough team. As we went into that week, I kinda noticed those things and I thought, mentally, we were gonna have a big edge on ’em”.
  16. ahhh yes....sorry for my foolishness
  17. Wonder if he loked at their sad sack roster and saw they had basically no O-line right now other than Labatte and Shepley..One guy on serious decline and injury riddled..and one guy who right now is average at best...and they have Marshall..Gainey and Moncreif unsigned...what a Penison Clone he has become
  18. from a Rider press release...best chuckle I have had in a week or so....man that media there sure has to tow the BS line fairly tightly Schram (6’4 – 312 lbs) returns for his third year with the Green and White after a strong showing in 2019 where he played in 10 regular-season games on the Riders’ offensive line. Schram was part of a nearly unmovable offensive line
  19. They never think to realize that perhaps Hughes got more tackles because they ran at him...repeatedly as well as they got ran on more than we did....fooly guys. He (Willie) could do no wrong there before, but now he's overated..take plays off...one trick pony..yadda yadda yadda
  20. Vince Ferragamo says hello
  21. Not sure why bbn people think Lapp will magically raid us of players? Why could he..please enlighten me on that. Why would a player leave a good situation..a grey cup champ...possibility to win again and all around stability...to follow an OC?? Using that logic we should have had oodles of Argo stars and free agents coming here..it didnt happen
  22. It's been pretty well documented in media..by coaches as well as players that they all have said Matt is a fiery leader, and garners a lot of respect...and a team first guy as well...refuting that, or trying to twist it, or make it seem otherwise is kinda childish if you ask me
  23. Strev I know has stated he wants a legitimate opportunity to grow and establish himself as a successful QB, and he has a great chance to do it here, he'd be a gimmick there and would wash out in short order in that role, and have no true QB development whatsoever He's a smart kid, and his best bet and one I am sure he considers is to get a few more years up here and become what most think he can be, then parlay that here into a nice salary and being a big fish in a smaller pond, as I really enjoys and revels in the limelight and attention he would get...If he doesn't get an offer with a nice bonus and a guarantee that he's gonna be a legit QB option and not some camp arm, or gimmick guy I can't see him signing down south..He loves it too much in the Peg and the CFL
  24. therin is the rub..I think skill set wise, and watching what each can do in practices that McGuire is the best "all around" guy, and has the best arm....just needs to learn the game and get experience...I bet if he got tossed to the wolves and had to start a string of games, that he would show enough., and learn quickly enough to make it hard to get him off the field
  25. Streveler just needs to be put in a normal QB situation, and not in a trick/gimmick/run rpo based scheme He would flourish with reps in that system, has ability to be evasive in pocket and move around when pressure is there to extend plays, or take off when all breaks down, or he sees an opening. His running would be even ore lethal once hi is in that scenario as teams won't/can't cheat on anything. He has the arm to make all the throws with steam on it...I watched him his first day here when mini camp was on and he couldn't participate, but he worked out after with some receivers going through all the different routes, as well as target practice into the net from different spots on the field and made them all with ease, and was very accurate. I wondered who the heck this guy was because it was before anyone had heard the name Chris Streveler and he hadn't been signed yet, but you could tell he was skilled
