Hansen is a global..so doesn't use up a DI spot.. And we still have Hallet and Exume who can work and progress for reps like Jones did.. Antihga is very versatile as he can play off edge..as will..or safety..and being a former reciever and having g 4.5 speed in 40 would not be outmatched on boundary corner...so he is the perfect piece to be able to DI 2 guys for offence

I would even alter them game by game so both stat involved and come playoffs the one who produced best..plays

Walker..Lawler..Adam's.. Woli..Demski...Andrew..that friggin O-line...good god... Sprinkle in sets with Lucky/Grant...damn..and just imagine the space Andrew is gonna have to work with cause u are always gonna have 2 guys focusing on where Walker is headed..and you cant sleep on Lawler or Adam's either..Woli and Demski will have a field day in the slot

yEAH it worked at first, but Lapo never deviated away from it and every time a set with Woli sliding to the inside and one of Adams and Lawler went into bunch formation it was always the dump..screen...never expanded that play or used it to set up anything....could see it a mile away pre-snap and teams just consumed him and after about the 4th game he got so beat up and pounded you could see he was not playing at 100% anymore...poor guy got pummeled The bizzare thing is that everytime they went to him deep he had his guy beat and if the QB could have hit him...he was gone...and wasn't for his lack of effort or trying..several times he laid it all out extending himself trying make the catch, but was always just outta reach

you can stretch a field vertically with any receiver tho...and we didn't do a lot of it. If a guy is continually going deep...posts..cornered..flies and you show that you will throw to him...teams need to respect that and keep a guy on him, and if a guy is a real burner, 9 times outta 10 your gonna cheat your safety over that way, at mid level to be there for over top help. With a guy like Whitehead, why we were not using him...or Grant like that is baffling and don't wanna hear an excuse like "yeah but they aren't good route runners" or something along those lines...you don't have to be, and with speed like Lucky and ability to make moves in and out of routes, and stop and go and get to top speed in a stride or two, he'd be a real pain in a teams arse..and frankly, he runs routes just fine and you have to give him a cushion anyway, or else you will be toast more often than not

You will probably never see Jake and Griffiths in together other than injury or short yardage...and will see lots of 3 ends altogether in the modified Cheetah (seeing as Kongbo gone we can't go full cheetah due to ratio) We went heavy with that last year in last 4-5 games and was highly effective. I still also think Walter's is doing a bit of a smoke screen and we may still employ a young Canuck at safety and allow us to be more creative upfront like last year...and this signing kinda has the sneaky makings of that....Alexander is great there, but really if you have a guy who is athletic and can close on a ball, and has moderate to good cover skills (something Hecht didn't) but both Hallet and Exume do then his value to the overall defence is better at half or corner...All of a sudden a backfield of Jones..Johnson..Taylor..Alexander with the option to have Richardson in a nose type spot with a combo of the jeff's and one of McCallister...Toby A and Hansen coming from all over...with Bigie now getting free reign to do whatever...could be pretty lethal

Interesting to hear Willie say the fact Darvin Adam's re-signing was a big influencing factor and got his attention the most in his decision and making it easy., and what a Leader Darvin is on the offence side of ball, and he hope's he can be the same type of leader on the defense. Kind of parlays what a lot of people have hinted at in regards to how Important Darvin is to the team...
