EXACTLY....That whole drive was a thing of beauty, and what the field mikes caught on that one particular play was priceless

And the funny...or is it bizzare part of this mess was the media there, and the fan base yammering on about how they are well set up with oline talent and depth...never really understood that thought...Having a bunch of guys coming in to compete (like all teams do) doesn't constitute depth and the word talent thrown around there a little bit too freely as well. I don't see any team that would start Clarke..Bladek or either of their Tackles ahead of what they have...Even Labatte on most teams would be a toss up as he has been a walking band-aid the last year and a bit....just didn't get it...and it will be blatantly obvious over the next few games how weak they are there...and at QB Ol Jonsie sure left them in a nice mess...and their management this year did them no help in free agency and the draft..picking no o-lineman in draft, or going after any in free agency, nor targeting any young up and comers either...they grab guys like Watson, Powell, Soli and Johnson..all between 31 and 35 yrs old...like wtf??!? Unless they get lucky and pull off some trades (which won't happen) they are going to be a steaming pile for years yet...and trying to rebuild it all next year in free agency will cost them dearly, and be like BC...No depth at all scenario

Not sure why they are so enamoured with Harker..raw rookie..no experience..no reason to feel that way really cause he made a few throws and looked moderately decent in pre season against nobodies. If they roll with him..expect 1 win out of his play..maybe 2 if lucky

Even when chungh was here the staff said Neufeld graded out better..not sure why he gets so much disrespect around here..

I wouldn't trade Neufeld at all..that be the stupidest thing to do for several reasons..one he's one of the better guards in league...secondly he and Bryant are a well oiled unit..thirdly if we did and one of Gray or Speller go down we are hooped..not to mention a well respected locker room leader and what..maybe 30 this year so still young for olineman. You dont throw away solid Canadian depth ..when he is ready he is back starting and Gray and Speller battle it out for the starter and 6th spot

Yeah I liked that too..also something about they are concerned with points on the board and if they are running for 150 yards they dont need the big passing numbers

and that first year we took over we sucked and he had games where he put up over 30 points but we lost due to an atrocious defense...so his record could be even better..as well as his obvious playing hurt season last year where it really affected his play..

Like I said...seems to have the makings of a good safety...even boundary corner with his closing speed and pretty sure tackling...perhaps with him and Jones on the roster is the reasoning why the coaching staff didn't seem too concerned with an extra import DB dressed as a DI. Jones btw way played the dime and did very well there too..

Maybe Reilly had a bad game because the defense made it bad for him...ever think of that?..if we didn't eff up those 2 back to back long ones he'd have had a very piddly night stat wise

The team played smart...the run was there, so they used it and owned the TOP that game, and took the shots when they were there (3 TD passes attest to that) Look at BC...Forced the long ball game all game and sure you will win some shots every game, but without balance, or inflicting your will on a team with the capable horses (oline and runningback/schemes) you will lose more than you win.. I believe it was mentioned that after their 3rd quarter TD Reilly completed only 4 more passes the rest of the game...hardly a dissection of our defense

IT'S FUNNY listening to a Rider fan say that a QB who doesn't turn the ball over (when not wounded)..has a winning percentage over past 4 years pushing .700 and has about a 3:1 TD to INT ratio is basically only successful because he has Andrew Harris more or less, and that basically we are what we are due to that....but if the shoe was on other foot they would be erecting monuments and trumpeting "their" guy as a world beater. Also funny that they claim they had/have the best defense when statistically it wasn't save for TD's scored and a few random categories and this year they claim they have the best RB and best RB depth as well as solid and deep O-line...yet they lost and looked like crap on offence in doing so...wouldn't logic say that a team with a better defense...better running back and deeper o-line should have won their game easily with anybody at QB just handing the ball off to Powell?...much like our inadequate QB doing here....hmmmm...seems like it should be so based on Rider logic

I don't care...cause I will be dead...most likely also a lot of the issues with deaths and health follows how things were before...not so much now, but I guess without tests and proof and examining brains of guys playing and starting highschool/colleg/pro now we can't be certain..

so Glenn turned down the Riders...thats funny and Glenn is a very smart man obviously who wants no part of that fiasco, as well as values his health as he'd get killed behind that o-line There very average tackles with Shepley/Clarke/Blake with Scram as the 6th next week is going to be god awful

31 and 14 is a bit more than moderately successful isn't it? Included ion there was when the team really sucked when he first started and his injury riddled last season especially the 4 game brain fart stretch

Fact of the matter..it was gonna happen if not in that game anyway even without the hit..or the next..guy is broken and cant take the hits anymore. And that was just a glancing blow from a shoulder..imagine if he got caught with a shot like Wilson took last night..he'd have been stretchered off the field. At least no other teams tweeted out "how's your QB situation looking now?" Like some team did last yr when a QB went down..who was that again?? Hate to see guys careers end..but his was inevitable and probably better now then taking a severe shot That being said..nice to see that team wallow around now a sputter and die a long painfull season..couldn't happen to a better self entitled fan base..let's see if they average 27k in stands when they suck like we did for yrs

They couldn't stop Harris because the talent all around on our offense is better across the board than what BC has on defense...a direct result of paying Reilly..Chungh and Burnam about 1.2 million of your 5.4 million and change cap

Back to the Hecht thing..like I said safety is the easiest position to field a player in Put a guy there who is smart..knows CFL football and plays within himself and the system and you will be fine. Also Reilly is probably the biggest test for your safety.. so if he was more than adequate in that game..well then we will be just fine..and obviously he has a bit of a fear factor ranging around out there as we saw with chik-a-fil Carter.. But that Exume is a heat seeking missile! If that's all he has to offer this year that's still a steal of a pick in 8th round..incredible closing speed on ball carriers and a sure tackler..can saw future safety in that kid

Stats wise you didnt have the best..you lead in a few categories but stamps and bombers led in more..and gave up leaa points..that says to me better defense.. only is sask is it considered the best..granted it scored al lot of TDs.. but that wont happen again
