  1. yup....that be huge
  2. would love Begelton
  3. Yeah Michel would be a nice grab, can return too I believe. I wonder if they have money set aside for Strev if he was to get cut....I can't see him trying to bounce around PR to PR and not get playing time.
  4. yeah...totally forgot we do have $$ sitting there that was for Mitchel that hasnt been accounted for yet...I think Duke is off the radar now as he is injury related and back with Bills...whats the situ with Zylstra tho...is he on the bubble?
  5. not the ideal guy I would have liked us pick up, and much rather work Stewart or Agudusi into the lineup....but Roosevalt knows where the holes in a defense are, and has seen everyone imaginable, so if anything will be a good outlet possession guy for us if he gets in the lineup, Zack knows his tendencies and won't hurt...
  6. makes me think Adams may be re-injured...he seemed kind of like he was again partway through the game and was basically just running decoys
  7. yeah....they are pretty sub par on the gameday analysis and in game flow thats for sure. Get us Stove back in there...Wilson in his usual spot, Darby (who played great for a first game in 2 yrs in a new system) u to speed and the ability to sub Roqemore in and out and this defence will be lights out...Plus the fact Jefferson and Alexander aren't 100 percent right now either.....3-1 at this point while missing the defense issues, as well as Harris/Demski and Adams missing 7 games, and also Grant who is missed on teams as well as his role on the offence, you cant be complaining
  8. i was gonna chime in on that too...Zack is the better QB by leaps and bounds, but he needs to work on is touch on the dumps and short screens...always has had that one knock....but...he is also looking for that as is last option when all else fails and a lot of time by that point, it's not gonna be a successful play anyway...he's looking downfield always, even when he scrambles and once our receivers get used to this, and Zack with them and what they like to do we are gonna see a lot of big plays...it's coming
  9. I'm looking forward to the home and home against the Riders, we play out game and get in sync (seems we are out of it right now, but Harris back with a game under his belt will help) Not to bash the Riders's but I think they are getting more credit than they deserve...They beat B.C (barely) and a beat up/depleted and underperforming Cat's, and Ottawa, whom is the free spot on the bingo board, and didn't really dominate them or have the game soley in hand by any stretch. All games at home home to date, which is odd, but plays a role in things. We have been jekyll and hyde to start, but have also been dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball, as well as have had up until Legs coming out (hopefully thats the norm not an anomally) been sub par on ST's....which will just be an aberration. Calgary has a very good defence, and T.O is a lot better than many are giving credit to as well, so it's not like we beat chumps, and did it with a pretty depleted lineup as well, and a lot of guys playing nicked...I'm not concerned with how we are progressing. I expect a typical split, home team winning each, I doubt we will be swept, but I can see us sweeping. Lets see who the team to beat is this weekend. I like our chances, and if we get back a Rocquemore or Stove, or both..I really like the sweep idea Stove being out is a huge factor right now...U cant expect 2 rookies rotating in at his spot to be mistake free and dominate. We actually have adjusted or d-line set up and schemes and it's shown...also no slight against Briggs and Gauthier, but having Wilson back in the lineup, and even Roquemore would be a huge factor
  10. yeah....he is on the juice...shoulders/traps are always the dead giveaway, but also the lean weight he packed on in last year is impossible for the human body....to each their own tho, if he's happy and healthy good on him...was it ever disclosed what his injury was that basically had him decide to retire?
  11. we have an NFL talent in house if he can get healthy....big if....but if.....
  12. Nice...we can now also roster another Canadian who can contribute..and get reps Darby also is a blessing..guy is good...another leader and can play all db positions and play them well .that was a very underated trade..he will really solidify the defence
  13. No clue..maybe he doesn't feel comfortable there? Also I think they like him in blocking schemes coming from off the outside too...he woukd be an insane inside threat tho
  14. haha...no worries...but I agree...we need to involve him early and he seems to excel
  15. was a clean football regardless what some like to chime in on...and the "command center" is a joke if thats your reason for justifying the penalty
  16. Demski didnt play...hence the invisibility 🙂
  17. yeah catches per target isn't a very good indicator of anything other than how many times the QB went that way, not the success of the receiver so much
  18. By shoulder i was meaning not rocking his chin with his helmet....and thanks for the tips but pretty sure I have a good handle on football trechniques and tackling..and coach and train as well, and at huger level...my point was he wasn't malicious or dirty, and didn't intend to injure...and there was zero time to let up completely..and if u watch...he did try to ease off
  19. have u ever played football?...and realize u can't stop on a dime, or make an abrupt 90 degree turn?...you play the play....and shouldnt be penalized for it on a bang bang play...U can also see BA actually didn't fully follow through on that hit....used a perfect shoulder tackle, kept head and helmet out of it and didnt target the head...was a crap cheap call. If the ball was jarred loose with the same hit, and a turnover resulted would the player be flagged for being too mean and tough??..gimme a break...thats football man...hard nosed football...these players know what they signed up for...
  20. was flat all around...it happens...playing in that crud environment prob doesn't help either. U have to factor in 1..maaaybee 2 games a yr where u throw out a dud...lets hope thats ours. Fact of the matter we look good...and disciplined and will gel even more (like other teams) and hit our stride. Throw in a healthy Wilson, Rocquemore, Stove, Adams, Harris, Jefferson (who's playing nicked) Darby, J.Johnson, Grant....and we are flying. Name a team right now dealing with that wealth of talent on the sidelines. I tho, would hope Oshea sees that Nelson needs to take a seat for a bit, Try out that Devonte Williams as a returner, as well as work him in on offence...he's a total unknown and could cause issues for teams right outta the gate, as well as rotate and work in Augustine with Oliveira...let him see stuff from the sidelines in game when Johnny is luging the rock. Also give Leggs the vote of confidence as the only kicker on roster, and use that other spot for whomever..Geoff Gray..Oleary Orange... Sometimes Oshea's roster management is baffling and even questionable...my only fault with him
  21. was a clean hit..bang bang...and shoulder to upper torso...if the receiver had actually caught the ball, and got hit like that, fumbled and we recovered....would you still penalize, and if u actually watch BA was letting up and didnt drive through him...thankfully...Thats football, and if it happened to one of our guys I would have had no issue. Not sure who said ball was 5 yards away...totally false, and also a player cannot stop on a dime...and from ball leaving the receiver's grasp, and the hit...milliseconds...you cant expect a player to not play full out 100 percent in fear of a crappy penalty call...if that was the case the quality of the game would be unwatchable with guys pussyfootin around.
  22. early season kinks...and a rash of injuries and knicked guys...I'm not too concerned
  23. speaking as a player...teams don't "shut it down" midway through the 2nd quarter...thats media bullshit....especially in the CFL. Especially when the tide was turning before the half, and immediately in the 3rd....BC was just finding their legs and Reilly coming in....even tho he was noodling calmed and righted the ship If it wasnt for the kicker who was released this week BC would have had the lead partway through the 4th...thats how that went. And even if they "turned it back on" in the 4th to pull it they barely escaped, and if Reilly was able to finish...probably lose
  24. I agree...and feel the same....post that over there as well and see what response the fans there have....as its not one they follow, and any posting of a rival fan there is attacked wayyyy worse than the jabs you have gotten here...which is more in fun...there it gets almost personal in the comments, is juvenile at best, and truly seems its a board full of immature teenagars, or highly uneducated adults for the most part
  25. if 7 points is very good...Im not to concerned with that against our defence
