if they not on a roster they make nothing...and the guys who go try...with no upfront money get nothing until they season starts and they a0 make the team or b) make a PR or c) get an injury settlement and are cut loose....so therin is the rub...a guy could try....get released...have a few workouts here and there but no PR spot as he keeps trying and make jack squat...so yeah it can be a beneficial $$ venture, but and only if u sit on a PR all yr...trying out...going to last cut...then trying to find a new spot...could take u well into aug...sept...and u made nothing, foregoing your CFL salary if you would have choose to re-up

Ellingson still is fairly fast as well . Hasn't really lost a step..and is like Denmark and can make his moves and cuts fluidly without having to gear down...and also be in control of things when doing so ..many guys cant and have to gear right down to do so

doesn't have to be, and ideally it shouldnt be a 50/50 ball....this 50/50 ball narrative is dumb, and recipe for non-success....u want the QB to hit the reciever in stride behind coverage, or put it in a spot to run under...or run to, not stop and battle for it...and Grant would be just fine in that role.....I don't want my deep game predicated on tossing up a Faj and being stopped...static and fighting for the ball...thats just plain useless

I think if he put in 2 solid years....2 years of exceptional film and growth....he'd be better set to stick on a roster at 26...and somewhat of an experienced pro....but yes don't blame Americans for chasing the dream, but a lot of guys would have made more with a new decent CFL contract for a full season...possible playoffs , rather than chasing PR spots, and at times going weeks...even months with no salary herein tho is the rub....NFL teams dont look at it like that and always...always favour draft picks....even if they are sub par than a free-agent undrafted guy...and especially so if he is a CFL recruit...so much politics and un-written rules that basically put the CFL guys behind the 8 ball...and spend yrs trying...and never getting a sniff of the roster, let alone any significant reps...for every guy that actually does succeed, and become and actually contributor, there are dozens who wallow around, and fade away ...thats just how the NFL runs

McCrae has been on filed...Harrison hasn't touched it....why even dress him if not gonna use him...especially when McCrae apparently knows all the receiver roles...my one Osh fault...he seems to do some odd things roster wise, and not the first time he dresses guys for no particular reason as they never touch the field, even when injury happens... Interesting we took both extra ends off the roster, but like we added a DT to solidify the middle....have Liked what Walker has done when in before.

for a player such as him...no NFL experience...or less than 2 yrs he would make 165k per season....and thats only if he was pr's somewhere for the full yr...if he sticks 4 weeks here...then has weeks after weeks of looking...gets another 3..4 weeks elsewhere...well divide that figure by 16 weeks...then multiply the weeks he was on a pr Now if he got a nice 150...175k deal to re-up...he would make more...PR money is nice if u stick full yr....and also if u have 2+ yrs in league then its significantly more....People think that these PR guys make oodles of money...but teams also add...drp...add drop at nauseum over course of yr too...to avoid the full slate of weeks pay...so u can yes make more...but you can also make less than an even average to an above average CFL salary if u are a higher profile player

my take is he needs to buck up and grow a pair....be a true leader and actually lead...and be a man and accept the good...with the bad and lose the excuses....and agree...he's weak as hell upstairs...and almost bordering on being a cry baby

If Elks can take next 2...and win the season series....The Riders are truly behind the 8ball....Elks have better coaching...I think over all better talent....and are less a tire fire....could get interesting...
