Hard cap is fine...how teams choose to spend within is fine too....some will be dumb ..and ruin their roster...others will be smart ...and deepen theirs

Yeah..he's grown a lot in 2 yrs...so.much more polished now...he was very erratic and almost out of control his first yr here...which hindered him I think all those big ticket receivers won't live up to the price tag...as they all in questionable offences.. If I was to predict now I'd say top 5 guys this yr will be Begelton..Weineke.. Bailey..Lewis and Ellingson if he ends up here or Ottawa...not in that order...but in the mix...Burnham possibly too as he catches anything within 10 feet of him

100 percent...there's prob some issues there...but not this rift they making it seem like We should be grateful we basically retained 4 /5ths of the best online as well as 3/4's of the best dline and still retained the league MOP ...MODP...MOL and prob the best corner and halfback in Rose and Nichols...may as well toss in the 2 best young Canadian RB's in the league and most versatile Canadian reciever...we be just fine

That would totally work ..Lawler was good...but wasn't reason for our success...it started with ZC spreading it around and the online allowing it to happen....Our offence will just need to play like last yr...protect the ball...and we will be fine I think we land a reciever....and a surprise defender nobody has yet mentioned here much....along with a few more of our foot soldiers like Hansen and the like

This is exactly it...players know this in inevitable...they aren't going to use it to be a negative distraction ...they already have shown that by signing on....many for less...and many who didn't even wanna take a look see....not that locker room. If anything I could see them saying cmon dude...let's all sacrifice a lil..to go down as a dynasty...as some have done it for 2022 We also don't even know the facts...did the team not offer a number? Did Harris say no to a reduced amount? Are they far apart...close....is it Harris doesn't wanna be a role player? Yup...he is way more than just a ball carrier...and his recognition of things on field is invaluable...and I fear puts ZC at more risk game in and game out I'd still like to see him morphed into a hybrid slot/te Drury type...allowing the young guys to get experience with AH still on field with them in certain sets

100 percent yeah...I'd rather have that anyway...lot of times u shut a teams #1 down...they get bogged in the mud

I'd still like to see us get..or roster a true take the top off a defense guy as a receiver.....but we didn't really have that the last 2 yrs anyway and we made it work.

Comical I very much like our 135k for Bailey..I bet he out performs them both...plus is used in sweeps... If we can grab Ellingson for 160 which seems reasonable we get 2x the production for the cost of Lawler alone.

Players know the business side of the game tho too....this won't tear the culture apart ...the other guys didn't sign cause they thought AH was coming back..this is the crappy side of things. They know if the economics don't work...they don't work...I'm not concerned about that...it's also on Harris to realize that he can't expect 200k ...185k...any more...I hope we make it work as he is still effective...but not if it means we can't grab a reciever and resign a Darby or pick up a Moncreif

Actually looked at Ellingson..I am sold now that I see he had almost 700 yards in 10 games in that shiitshow of Edm....with ZC throwing and the complimentary pieces around him yeah this may be a big rebond yr for him...sign me up Yeah...I think too now we go with recruits..save the sms for elsewhere...Walker looked like a baller...Rose in his limited play looked like potential too...and didn't we sign a DT/Nose type this winter??

I'm in the camp of u don't overpay like an idiot to fill a spot...and downgrade 2 or 3 others in the process..can't sustain anything that way....pay fair value...and if someone don't like it...another guy will...been working just fine for us

I still baffled on that Lacey deal....based on his stats ..and non impact type play last yr...and being 32 constitutes that money?? And 465k invested in Walker and Lawler is alot of scratch....if he doesn't come close to bettering what he did last yr that's gonna be rough
