They (Argo's) may have got it from the 80's Bomber teams or a coach or player who ended up there in Osh's time there...but I do know that it was used here tho in those yrs...100% certainty so he didnt create it...Poached it tho

FIFO actually started here in the Reily yrs...not sure who re-introduced it 2019 and kinda rebranded it...if it was a coach that was a player from that area...cant recall the staff at the time...but this "regime" didnt spawn it At the time it was First in..First out but underlying and in the room between players it was at times referred to as the "fit in or F off monicker that the 2019 team adopted

a lot of those guys were not injury replacement or guys brought on to replace underperformers...they were coaches choices right outta the gate...and then some sure...replaced an original bad choice But I agree we have had not a lot of success choosing players...be it a bad coaches decision...or poor supply...But based on a lot of what we have seen...There is a lot of bad coaching decisions as its pretty hard to assess any player who for one...wasnt kept....or if kept never played As for our current dilemma how can we say Womack..Singer..Poncius...Texada..Shay..Jackson..Vaval (on defence..heck even receiver) Vibert...Oyelola..heck even Hazen are not good options or not quality?....They havnt been played We can say tho that a lot of our current starters havnt gotten it done...be it some due to age...some talent...maybe some a victim of covering for another player who is just not getting it....so to not mix and match...swap here or there...is basically either ignoring the issue...or not even seeing it

you have 2 dbs on the PR...Vaval...not a impossible task for if anything to sit a few habitual suckers for a game...Slot Jackson or Vaval at a corner...Texada at a halfback spot...Heck with Woodbey back slot him at SAM and move Griffin to HB...as he prob our best db period...as well as SAM...And look how long it took Osh to figure that out...He didnt all of a sudden learn to play overnight And people worried about "yeah but Vaval is our returner" well news flash guys can do it just fine...and worrying about injury is just playing trying not to lose...A returner is more likely to get hurt returning than playing WR or DB That also just makes more sense to scrap the extra Cdn wideout for an Import who has return ability....Hello Singer....As well we could drop the last guy on roster for the Global import and see what he can do on ST and maybe the odd rep here and there where we used Hallet and Kelly to be abused...and if all the above changes dont pan out...or are exposed as not good...then bring in new blood till you find the right mix People say there no options...but you cant say that until given a chance..and maybe a bit of rope to cut their teeth...lord knows we have given quite a few vets over the yrs more than enough rope...and still couldn't pull the trigger

Holm was axed...wasnt deemed good enough...was only brought back due to a vet injury, and only then cause he was close in proximity...I believe hadnt even left city yet...and was started....and all of a sudden was lauded as this special talent with feet made in heaven....where was all this praise prior to being cut...nowhere...just a prime example of how we evaluate...and how probably many more guys have been dumped that were better, and could have become real good...He was also not a Rigmaiden find And sure you can say what worked before on a acquisition level but doesn't now, actually is more relevant to coaching...so you cant just hold it on Scouts. Scouts and GM are not making the bad decisions in games...scouts dont say who to keep...or how to play them...That's coaching and every coach has a shelf life...they just do....How long has Osh been here? Alot of times after 8..9 yrs it gets stale...old...and just doesn't translate anymore...falls right in line with Osh tenure... as I mentioned...and was a desperate bring back cause was the easiest guy to bring in...Osh cut him...decided wasnt good enough...and sure thats not is only gaff...He also just this yr Rostered Jenkins over Reese...soley because he was a holdover and wowed Osh in 1 game...and was outplayed in camp by 4...if not 5 other DE's but now he is relagated to the PR Imagine if Reese also said eff you I outta here knowinghe deserved a spot...Our dline production and really good play would not be what it currently is

you can recruit a guy to come up for a looksee and place there who is unemployed and looking to play somewhere...there are 100's and 100's if not 1000's of guys so it's not an impossible task. I know as well players talk..small community and it is well known coming to Winnipeg to compete for a roster spot where there are long tenured vets is also a waste of time and hinders recruitment...and isnt the best organization to come into anymore and get a true opportunity...Such is the case with some guys who looked really good and were asked to the PR in a lieu of a guy they knew..everyone knew they were better than..and said eff you I agree some guys have failed...but also was it a poor assessment of the talent kept?....poor coaching and prep once they were kept?....not given any chance ever until desperately needed making it seem inadequate talent?...I'd say that more likely than anything id those reasons...Everyone else finda new talent...and plays it...and most these teams scouting units are all interconnected in some way and have a lot of if not all the same contacts...Its a matter of what we look for..who we choose to keep...not a lack of talent and the funny part of that was we scrap heaped him from a bottom feeder team who saw he wasn't the best option and went with a raw rookie...who subsequently went on to win R.O.Y that season And part of our issue is yeah some guys who came off the bench didnt steal a job...but also were not really given the chance either...and if we are being serious with ourselves Osh fills his roster with guys who have zero potential and or ability to contribute on offence or defence...but are picked purely because in school...they were good on teams....but were not top players....A top player can also play teams as a rookie...2nd yr/3rd yr guy as they develop...possibly play it even even better and have growth potential and rotational ability/use...A guy we covet and over fill our roster with who can play special teams...but thats about it...well thats the issue here and has essentially made our depth and any transitional player/piece non-existant...hence the reason why in multiple Grey Cups we have rostered guys with no business playing due to injuries...and That hasnt happened just once

and the PR use as well...poor use and it shouldn't be static all yr...should be used to develop some guys for sure where there just not enough room on roster, but also should be ever changing and having guys dumped and added too...scouting and player assessment and guys being brought up should never stop There's been instances where we carried guys for 2 yrs...never got a chance when could have...then dumped only to go thru same cycle again We wanna run 3 canadian receivers so you should have in a smart world 5 capable on the roster...and at minimum 1 on the PR,,.,But up until we just dumped Corcoran onto it had zero....but 3 imports...make that make sense We also had no interior dlineman...1 went out with injury...appears they limiting Ceresna's reps and we have none on the PR...I not counting Korn as he should be nowhere near a roster...we should have at least 1 true DT/Nose on there...and be bringing guys in to look at...but nope

pretty much Like I said no changes other than dictated by injury shows we are just doing as we do same as previous yr...In Osh's mind all is good and this group will just "get it" If we win I expect it to be close, and we squeak/luck it out and just puts lipstick on a pig and will keep Osh Oshin....glossing over all the deficiencies...but hate to say it...I expect a loss...hope we win and will be elated...but not expecting it

we dont know they wont tho...if not given the chance...and random practice reps as a scout team player...or in skelly isnt a chance...when lights go on...some guys rise to it...but here we never know And thats also a good way to get better players in..If the HC makes the change...and G.M doesnt like the results...then it is pretty obvious he needs to bring in more prospects...but if he just takes HC word we good...but doesn't get to see the proof of it....then thats a problem I think its safe to agree that there are major issues Concerns with how we do things with the GM..HC and his OC's and the hierarchy on how/what is decided and who is truly to blame....to be blunt..it sucksass But when organizations are in this place...especially after a prolonged run with the same HC...when changes are to be....or are discussed...the HC is usually turfed as to not upset the whole apple cart...you don't clean house...which leads to a total organization upheaval...and likely shift on how they do things. Organizationally we are good...Miller is killing it...our admin staff is superb...Walter's in regards to the SMS..us not being penalized...not blowing cash foolishly isnt an issue Our problems seem to be generally game day type stuff....be it poor roster...dumb in game decisions/choices...lack of prep/readiness...seems to be no accountability in under performing players...or coaches for that matter for poor schemes or even ability (Hogan last yr and just keeping him there and floundering) and that is basically all pointing back to one person...So....step one is usually power of deduction...Remove the coach...was he the problem?....Was he bad in player choices?...decisions....even in a mid season change a lot of times you can see if those issues were stemming from there The following yr if the HC picked a guy who is getting same reuslts...poor looking talent...then yeah...Likely clean house with G.M and scouting...You never clean house as step one when everything else seems to be functioning well other than the game day product/results...especially when they are the same issues 4 yrs running now

I've seen first hand on multiple occasions where a coach has asked a GM for a specific kind of player That being said Walter's should be bringing guys in as well all yr and tell his HC that he wants said player evaluated...tho I wouldnt give Osh's evaluation skills any value more than spit on the pavement

well we have Jackson and Vaval we can sub in and see..Texada...if they not deemed good enough...better....able to push guys why the **** are they still here???....You dont know until you know and try a gy for a game or 3...We are in the second 3rd of season...not just 2 games in...there's issues We have Singer and Womack...get em on...feed em balls...see what they do...if anyting see if one or the other opens things up more for our top 3...if they can evcen be called top 3 Dump the bottom Canadian on roster...add the Global...he was in the NFL for 2+ yrs...they dont keep gys around for fun...obviously has some skill and likley better than a low end Canadian player fresh out of school I'd go Wallace..Eli...Nuef with Vibert as backup for 2 games minimum...see how that pans out and gets us a valuable Import on roster anf then actually play said import....a couple games of that interior wont get anyone killed I sure as well some guys finished the first stint on 6...who are practicing fully could be put in....why they not..Woodbey..Dixon... Yeah...about as out in space as what younger and osh said in the other article On the one big bo run..the 40 yard one..eli and elsbury opened a whole JT could of ran thru and gained 15 yards...there was no receiver in site I have yet to see this yr what a Bailey..Adams..Woli...Clercius..even Lawler has done for the run game...heck even lil Lucky was a key downfield blocker on some runs.and big yac plays by other wr's Did we stop coaching? Was it that those guys before just knew what to do and didnt need coaching? Or is it cause we have a bunch of und er sized pansies..thats in db backfield too.. Yeah...daniels needs some PR time..and MCI needs more use..he not gonna develop by 2 reps a game..he has improved a lot since rookie yr..and with his skillset and size..imagine what he could be if we put time and effort into him? Clercius as a sure handed guy to convert will help...prob best pure "hands" on the team and hes strong as fack! We need to use him as such..a big bodied inside guy u can trust..aid in run game and if ignored will hurt teams Singer and or Womack need to be added to see how that changes the dynamics of our offence...We know Singer can stretch field and is good on intermediate routes and has good hands.. and is fast..Womack intruiges as he is 6 feet tall...but thick as hell and could see him being a big after the catch guy hard to take down...and the search even if they produce shoukdnt end there..we need that big physical battle winner...especially when games start to really matter

Yeah dont get me wrong..a good addition and Demski....Clercius and him are a nice trio to have when starting 2 Canadians...which we should be doing and then Cobb as the extra guy if injury happens, or for certain packages as he does have value if used right...and is a capable returner if god forbid Vaval gets hurt...But if we had another guy in as the 5th receiver...Like Singer who can also return...then Cobb is even further depth for the roster

again...the conversation was the spot we have decided to run the 3rd Canadian....not the other spots....And really to date Neild hasnt impressed much or been this big factor for us He costs more and he has basically identical stats with Wheatfall having a bit better YPC avg...so if it was a one or the other argument it can be called a wash really

Riddle me that The pathetically sad part...for years now here with Osh this is not just isolated to one position group...And to further hammer the point home..Our 2 yrs we won the cup..and the 2 yrs immediately following where we should of won if not for Osh's stupidity with roster (playing hurt guys...stupid in game decisions) and poor overall roster...our receiving group did not consist of a useless plug...with minimal skills and or athleticism...5 guys who all could make plays and garner attention...and if you slept on one...they would hurt you....

I think tho Cline could be one the early cuts that may happen before full cutdon He is only gauranteed 2k from his deal and 2k signing bonus and the dolphins either traded for, or signed 4 other Tackles...so assume he in tough there..

I just figured Taylor being from out that way be more appealing to them...Tho I do think he has the most upside...Either way 2 of those 3 would be huge to have as staples on the oline here for yrs....structure your roster and drop this $$ allotment b.s per group so you can once again build a deep and dominate oline...

I would keep 2...dangle one in a trade...If Ottawa would take Taylors rights for Geno and maybe a mid level draft pick swap and or a back end of roster guy...You make that deal as it will impact us positively in the immediate Reading the article on the Bomber sight gives me know real optimism for hope or change tho...Both Younger and Osh are clueless to whats the underlying issues...I say issues as its not just scheme...or just players They keep yammering about communication issues...confusion of who takes who...when...and where type stuff...We are into the second 3rd of season now and communication and or execution of what you trying to do shouldnt be the issue and excuse...they need to wake the eff up or we are doomed....Or is it they just cant wake up as they are just out to lunch?...I think it's leaning a lil more that way to be honest
