even without a constant jumbo package...which we didn't need exclusively last game, we just need to spread out the line....be that with motion and one of Woli and baily coming in and working the edge, with BO riding shotgun to chip...then release and keep the BC ends out wider we shall be fine...their 2 interior guys shouldn't be able to outmuscle us up the gut all game....and if they feel they need to bring extra guys....then we should have guys keyed on that and cut routes off to exploit it...be interesting to see how this game within the game pans out My hope is we come out with the game plan to cram it down their cramholes until they can adjust or show they can stop it....and thats with heavy BO and sweep and jet motion stuff to keep them guessing who gets the rock...that will open things right up...plus beat the snot out of their dline

yeah physically they won't be able to sustain that...even set a tone initially.....our boys come out with a purpose along the line we will own the line of scrimmage

not sure how to describe it....just "it" I guess...plus we will be saddled with a pretty pricey contract to keep him through to 2025...so it will steal from elsewhere on the roster...Just something about him just to me says good second fiddle in a pinch...but not your bell cow.....and he isn't great at any particular thing...moreso passable at most

cant argue there....and toss in Hansen another yr removed from his injury and we look pretty good we really dropped the ball when Haba was out not grabbing Lemon to finish out the season here...sad part he wanted to come here and expected this is where he would have landed......and in his 10 games so far..22 tackles...7 sacks...2 picks...a FF....would have been a nice compliment to our DE's, and another good guy for Haba to learn from.

I think with a nice rotation...Jeffcoat would stay healthy...and when he is healthy...I'd say he is the best all around DE in the league....actually best dlineman in my opinion We seriously need an impact LB though who is in his prime to transition to, Biggie is good, but doesnt seem elite anymore...and is up there in age with a lot of mileage...at right price though would be an excellent DA to support next yr's starters

you still dont go away from it...especially before mid 3rd quarter if down....and if we that far down early that we have to abandon the run then kiss first place and likely a return to the cup by bye BC is gonna be more concerned with how bad we gouged them deep and intermediate range last game...that should be their focus, as they know BO and our run game is gonna likely put up at least 100 anyway...They are gonna try and attack ZC and not let him set up for the shots out of the gate...so hopefully Buck has schemed for some early motion and use BO and Demski in the screen game, with Lawler and Schoen taking guys deep on skinny posts and corner routes....to start things off and see if and how BC adjusts, and how they come out

I hope we do lose Brown, cause really he isn't a long term answer here, and I hope thats not who we hitch a wagon to DE wise,,,the Jeff's have a lot of life and value in them...look at dominant ends of recent yrs....even interior guys...are very effective into mid 30's...even past that...but with strong rotation and depth around them...thats where we need to focus on things, and develop....our roster makeup has to be revamped, and can easily be done...We have an abundance of LB's who play strictly ST's...and are basically weaknesses if they need to actually take defensive snaps....other teams have athletic tweeners/DE types who play a lot of teams....and are used in dline rotations....so it's time to make some tweaks, because if we don't...our roster will continually be hard pressed to make that happen If we dont go hard in FA period next yr to secure 2 legit Canadian Dlineman ....could be both ends, or an end and an interior guy then we will see more of the same ..especially if we have to roster an American Kicker...Bennett and Kongbo will be there for the taking...and failing to land even 1 will be an epic fail.

yup...Let our oline eat and serve things up for BO...until the Lions either can adapt...or have the will sucked outta them....then pour it on more

for the draft....the Coach has a huge say in who is drafted...thats not a Walters decision alone...also players brought in...Coach has input in what they want/need...would like to see....but it's become apparent that Osh has his favorites...and will die on a hill with them until it gets real bad....he was like that earlier in his tenure as well with some complete head scratchers....and in all honesty...with culture established here....it doesnt evaporate with a coach leaving.....any competant coach who isn't clueless can maintain a high winning percentage when supplied with the right talent....and capable co-ordinators...they are the ones who design what we do we don't need to spy tho...why remove a guy from normal duties...a vet QB will exploit the heck out of that...may work with a raw rookie as we seen with Crum....we need to be active on the dline, with looks....stunts...and fresh capable bodies (which we don't have and is a big Achilles heal) and not sacrifice assignment to be overly fancy....mix coverages with some combined zone and man to man and make the Vaj have to actually sit in pocket and think...and we will see what he did vs Toronto....cough the ball up... On offence....throw away the cute crap, and play our game...establishing the line and run....disecting with layered short and intermediate routes with motion in the back field....and the seas will part and we will wear the undersized Lions front right down.....do this...we win...handily

you can enjoy something and still have issues with things, or like to see things better.....anyone who agrees with everything...or says they never argue with wife...etc..etc...is a lying sac o..... I put good money into the things that I enjoy, and support....so if I am...I want the best possible product.....plain and simple.....and anyone who would pay good money for something and not get the best product...but claim they good and happy as a clam...again is a lying sac....or just an idiot.....

why not tho?...no reason it can't....the Stamps bookended three 15-3 seasons with 13-5 ones...had a regrouped 10 win season the 3 straight 12 win ones....sustained success is very achievable... I'm enjoying it.....and would like to a lil longer.....

THATS the kind of stuff our coach did...and implemented rather routinely to catch teams napping.....hasn't happened in forever...same with going for 2 points....and the more you practice in game...the better you are...We couldn't get it done vs Ottawa...and lost....and were abysmal with it last game tho it didn't really have much an effect....my take is staff has become lazy, and as mentioned...complacent with status quo...even if not working you somewhat nailed it here....whatever the new scheme was that we felt the need to go to, should have been scrap heaped halfway into season.....plain and simple....the continued running it over and over with same lousy results is pretty much the definition of insanity. Miller and Hansen missing....would that have helped...most definately....that being said, the drop off of 2 guys in talent and skill should not have had such an effect, and if it was, then changes to personnel should have been looked into first, before reverting back...neither of which has been done....so to me thats a coaching decision/issue.....The punter tho as mentioned by you, and others isn't helping matters....on many punts the returner has had 10..15 yards to get to speed and survey the scene with little to no resistance....not what you want in a punt coverage, and a easy call of using a more traditional punt then should have been implemented, and use of the Aussie style one maybe the odd time to keep a returner honest....for all the times we have been dinged with an illegal punt, or a gouging return vs a nice one pinning a team deep is leaning very heavily to the big return/penalty. Grant back is huge, and should allow us to starting flipping the field with some regularity, as well get a possible score out of it.....after his injury, after 3...4 weeks max a true returner should have been rostered....why one wasn't is again a coaching issue, and in my opinion another fail on their part....status quo and "all the guys are #1's" comment doesn't hold weight and was apparent wasn't true Tweaked that for you...it's past tense at moment but easily reclaimed

we didnt win the Cup tho....and have regressed since if you wanna use the records as your metric....it's just like in stocks....Trying to time the market and buying right at the top never works...as usually things are already in motion and set for a big knife drop.....then you regroup and recoup lower down the scale....this is whats happening here....some mild and gradually things should have happened this spring

going into2021 season...made sense to keep the band together....going into 2022 as well for most part.....going into this year....having fell off the top....some flaws already exposed...some of our grinder/foot soldiers another few yrs older...some of our vets entering transition time....this should have been the year where we re-loaded a bit....looked to have some successors here either as back-ups or on the PR....Legit talents.....for the 2023 off-season to augment if need be, and transition a few areas, so that come the 2025 season we are set up...like 2021...good and full of fire across the board....deep all around.....

as other teams kept their new talent...so not gonna cut em for other teams...it was here...or nowhere...except for Wade...but he eventually got cut too...Other than a couple draft picks...we kept one new guy out of camp....thats not an indication either that our roster of holdovers was super awesome either

meh....not so much....coach makes the pie.....GM buys the supplies....and you don't want to get into the GM meddling with game day rosters....leads to all kinds of issues..never a good outcome He may be a bit mifed, maybe a lil bewildered, but he hired said coach to run team....so will be hands off for most part it's more this...Osh loves his vets...almost in a Dave Ritchie it gonna getcha way.....I am of the belief that we came into camp basically settled on who was starting....the same basic 23 guys as last year save for Walker but he got the nod cause...well he was here 3 yrs now so I guess was "owed" it??....Dunno but some guys in camp out performed hold overs....and where are they now?....not here

nope....nobody really who I can see I question at times our coaches ability to recognize, or utilize talent brought in as well....or put the time in to develop....several times, and a few recently I can think of off the top of my head.....Lucky Jackson and Barrington Wade...deemed not good enough here...or worth developing so we cut...and both land on NFL teams...Jackson still there, mind you Wade was released, but still...there was another one or 2 guys during this regimes time that escape me.

well keep him off the offense...as thats where he got hurt...or at least limit it...use him with motion to influence the defence and let someone else lug the rock....use him as bait lol

agree....especially when you look at and compare what he has done, and is doing in regards to some of the best all-time Canadian RB's best seasons....to me it's a slam dunk

The fact we actually need a true one until Miller gets back...whom btw was not a Fullback until his time in the CFL was about to be extinguished....and we cut the only one we had...who played it all through his college and albeit brief career, only to waste a DA spot on an American...who never played a snap of offence in his life...and only 4 yrs of actual football total...who is really adequate at best...with zero upside being 31 already to me just screams insanity...bordering on stupidity

touche my friend hahaha.....always could be worse haha my exact sentiment when we sucked....it was more a we had lousy players....not wasting spots with sub par guys, or misuse of a DA spot with having better on the PR....we had crap all around....top to bottom...and 5 to 8 legit stars...big difference I agree totally...but also this is a total failure ont he coaching staff too
