gotta give him props....he was a fan thru the suck....hahaha
-
yup....Dobson for a big bugger is ultra athletic...would cause a lot of chaos....could be the 2020's Eric Wilson playing both lines....why not....
-
I enjoyed the synopsis....nothing wrong with good content...But yes the Argo's lick lol
-
I've said before we should use Dobson at nose on occasion to either tie up 2 guys trying to control him, or have him just go =balls to the wall bullrushing up the gut and collapsing things....cause he could....Imagine a center an his guards trying to control those 2 both bullrushing?...good luck with that
-
Or Swarmay for Houston to get another look....he can return as well...and he is a damn good tackler...something we are lacking a bit
-
we also tho have a lot of long in the tooth guys on teams who are on 3rd...4th contracts too....which adds up....
-
yeah...perfectly put....and it's noticeable. Having just 1 other legit end to rotate in, and or a legit DT in the middle would do worlds of difference....Even then we could run our 3...or 4 de sets and it would as well make things extremely difficult because they way we did it with twists and stunts there was generally 2 guys coming free And back to having a legit interior....would allow Biggie and Wilson to be way more effective like in those yrs, a lot of things being chalked up to Biggie slowing down, or not being as effective is due to whats going on in front of him. Once our ends flush the quarterback or make him walk up in the pocket, or escape it there is no resistance most times between the tackles...Thomas can't get off a block anymore, and has next to no athleticism now to get after anyone and is 90% of time jogging following up the play....like literally go watch some pvr'd games and see it...Walker is much better, but he is not dominant, and when 2 guys can attack him....it's tough sledding for him and he can get washed out easier. Lawson is our best interior guy, who can take on 2 guys and not be eliminated, as well get off and make plays at l.o.s but again too many times we trot out Thomas with him, and basically it becomes negated. And then our LB's get wshed away or have to contend with a lineman or two immediately in their face...or look to be just running into the mass of bodies....they have no choice, and if they try to circumvent, and go outside or around it, makes them appear to be whiffing and not reading the play...they can't win I been complaining and likely annoying many here for months now about this, and it's purely a roster issue, and personnel thing... We roster poorly position wise, and we play personel who aren't good enough, and refuse to inject any new blood, or even try something else.....it's maddening If we rostered the Jeff's with another actual legit end...Be it Haba or give Garbutt a shot....he sure looks quick and explosive in the practices I observed, And went heavy with Walker and Lawson and found a way to get Fox in the mix...it would be night and day...and it's doable...Jackson off roster, and try Fox in place of Clements or Cole....they are never both on field anyway together on defence so pick your poison, and I would actually sit Thomas a few games and get Kelly on roster for more young athletic ST coverage...and if Hansen is back, or close then even better...we would have a front line rotation of WJ...Jeffcoat..Walker..Fox..Haba..Lawson and Hansen....7 guys...7 legit quality guys....cause as I see it..Osh will keep trotting out Kramdi at SAM, so we don't even need to actually start a Canadian on the D-line....so why the need for Thomas....he plays no teams, and just doesn't have it anymore....poor drafting the last 2 yrs and the failure to sign a National DT in FA basically made us have to keep him on
-
well we did bring in some guys....and then just dumped em...why?...who knows..Salima was a good back...and could return as well...kind of a more rounded Mcrae...given an apple and a road map Sterling at end...looked real good...and talking to Willie J he said he realy liked him and saw ton of potential....sent packing That linebacker too...Barrington Wade ..ultra athletic...just need to learn the game....showed good...and showed inexperience....sent him away, and he got a TC with Bears after, and actually did some good things in a few pre-season games Thomas that DT as well...was really good....and even tho just pre-season...still stood out...again...sent packing And now...where are we weak and deficient...KR...and all along the dline, and with a Biggie transition player to learn under him To me...all on Osh....doing his usual sticking to guys who have been here...even tho there are better options...kind of playing favorites...and standing pat and not continually improving where and when you can And the maddening part is the wasted roster positions now during games and hand-cuffing us more than we need to be....as we have regressed...ever so gradually

On a diff note...Schoen has hit over 1000 yards again....Demski is 69 yards away and amazingly Lawler needs only 380 over last 4 gams to hit that mark as well, and that would be in only 12 games played....and probably have over 30 TD's combined between them...pretty damn good top 3 on a team -
Quotes like this that leave little faith in believing any changes will be made...and we just gonna stand pat...and likely see this a few more times again this yr...and one of em will be in a playoff game...he obviously sees no issues
-
Yup...2 of em....coach just needs to do it
-
Yup...love when bailey just puts his head down and takes guys on And with WJ u can't expect him to do what he does 100 percent for 90 percent of the snaps...double teamed...mugged...chipped...no end can do it without proper rotation and depth around him People were complaining that he was doing too much contain...or not rushing with ears back...but seemed to be trying to be more concerned with a knock down...well what do you expect...he needs to take plays off cause...well we know why...been moaned about adnausium...so he at least trying to make a difference with something he is good at and is just as good as a sack or a pressure...kudos to him for not just totally dogging it
-
Eli and Dobson would bring the mean and nasty back...Neuf is a guy who gets maligned by posters here but he brings attitude..grit and meanness too...he needs a couple guys riding shut gun with him...and that would make the world of difference...Gray is the perfect 6th guy...can play all the spots..is athletic and can...as he was already set up in the full back spot that Jackson is doing...he's solid but not mean and nasty...he is an irritant to defenders definitely...but not an ass kicker like Eli and Dobson would be...that why he be the perfect guy coming in as the TE..and getting into second level aggravating the crap out of guys...u see it in games as is....that would fix all that ails the oline and us domination of the l.o.s game in and game out..
-
Cause we have the depth and personel there to overcome things....scheme is hurting us more than anything...Hits happen....and I sure ZC will suck it up ..if he doesn't we still save for one game score enough we should win...with a RB like BO and a receiver group such as ours...they gonna produce more than not....can't say same about the defence
-
I not concerned with offence...it's the defensive depth...or lack there of...and some questionable starters and roster decisions.

Yeah not sure if that was just a veiled excuse ..an issue of some long in tooth st guys who we just keep leaning on...but I think a decision to change something just for sake of change especially when it was working..and having basically all the same guys save for 3 or so is a pretty bad coaching decision...and to continue trying to implement it as it seems to be getting worse is even a poorer coaching decision...compounded by other poor decisions -
Bailey...played tough with emotion and did everything asked of him....his one drop I am not holding against him as really, that should have had no bearing on the game...thats about all I got for this game honorable mention to WJ for gutting out pretty much 95% of the snaps and a bit to Holmie Holms for actually looking like one of the few who looked like they gave a ****, and Eli and Dobson for again just wrecking dudes....doing their role even tho both prob know they could be in the starting 5
-
yeah I hear ya...I was just emphasizing your correct observation

and in 2019...we made some significant moves and juggling in the back 3rd of the season too....we realized issues then....hopefully this staff realizes them again -
rotation....with the right personnel would be a night and day difference...thats the key part to it....and we could do it with the right ones if we wanted to, thats the frustrating part Decent also doesn't cut it....and I dont think he is the best option, and I know exactly why he being the option right now, but why beat a dead horse to death...He is an Osh fav in cole's notes and will be there until he gets injured now His post game presser as well gave no confidence in anything they are doing or thinking as well....he almost seems clueless or oblivious to things
-
BO has been fine in pass protection...thats not an issue....to me it's more scheme and flip flopping what we are as a unit....so no doubt there is confusion and simple errors....and also....Kolo is not the best option , and a simple switch to Eli would inject a lot to the oline production...Dude is freaky athletic for a big dude...mean, and just moves men...Kolo doesnt....he's an adequate back up.....and again....where would he start in the league if not here?...dump Eli and he's be in a lineup day 1... Harris was a nice safety valve when we had Nichols...look at his stats when ZC took over...they went down in that regard by 75%....we as an offence didn't utilize that..It's not that BO couldn't replicate it...I bet he could and more if we chose to....but we don't...so he won't

YUP...We need to get back to 2019 defensive set up roster wise, as well as insert some hungry players who are earning the spot on the field...not rewarded it -
Not concerned with WJ...He's a freak athlete, and is being worn down, he needs to have things back to 65 75% of snaps, and he will be dominate....there a reason he seems to have hit a bit of a wall.....If we had a rotation of the Jeff's and Haba, along with Hansen in lieu of Mauro...I assume he ahs to be close....and things right there would look like a world of difference, and they would be fresh throughout the game. Our interior tho after Lawson and Walker sucks....bigtime, and Walker and Lawson could use another impactful DT in a bad way to make them more effective, they decent, but not world beaters alone, but with a compliment to them, things again would be different...We have Fox on the PR....he looked decent in his one start, and looked good in BC....Why we don't even just try it to see is plain foolish, and if the staff think he is no better than Bennett and Thomas...then why is he here??? Thomas in my opinion should been replaced this yr, and his best before date is long expired...he has a few stats, but he himself even admitted he got those stats from the play basically just being filtered into him...watch him now...he has a bull rush, and it's rarely impactful and he gets engaged and cant release....and you usually see him jogging up behind the play basically doing nothing. Same with Bennett...has made maybe 3 plays of impact all yr, gets fooled often, and really doesn't seem to have a nose for the ballcarrier...Cole or Clements could give the same input off the edge and actually track a QB or rb down from behind and keep contain way better...but he is our 1st round pick (awful pick btw) so we will be saddled with him all yr.....Cause they don't wanna look like the made a mistake. And don't even get me started on Schmeckle...like wtf is that and wtf kind of pick was that in draft If you lined up our roster, outside of the Jeff's....Lawson and Haba what other players would get picked up if we dumped them, or make another teams roster?...I tell you...none...Maybe a PR spot but that would be a stretch Sadly things are easily fixed moving forward....if we want to do it...I would have the Jeffs' with a rotation with Haba (for Jackson) also you have Lawson as the starter, not Thomas, and truthfully I would take Thomas right off the roster and replace him with Kelly mainly for ST work, and back-up safety/db....We aren't using Cole and Clements effectively on defence as it is, and never together so pick one and replace the other with Fox....and allocate one of the Jeff's as a Nationalized American.....We would then have the Jeff's...Haba...Walker...Fox...Lawson....and Bennett 7 dlineman who save for Bennet could all be very effective, as opposed to the man group we been trotting out...2 of whom could effectively be cut and we wouldn't miss them....how anyone can say that lineup wouldn't make us a better defence and a more well rounded roster is just plain not looking, or too blind to see it Cause as it appears we seem to be tied to starting Kramdi at SAM...why I dont know, as he is nothing special, and average at best, so we could run many a set with our 4 best dlineman on the field at will...all American and all with ability to make a difference with no effect to the ratio... I would also swap the Aussie punters to see if that helps in the kicking game, and let Schmidt try kickoffs too...and boom them deep...he can kick off btw...seen it personally....and he can boom punts with killer hangtime....then decide who makes our squad better...because all year now....kick coverage has been abysmal and is killing us in games and giving teams basically gifted 3 points way too often..... I would also be in Hallerjula ears for next year....cause they way we are rosterd that DA on a kicker is crippling us, if we could get him and have him do all 3 jobs we be so much better off...Castillo sure is good, but if you wasting a DA on him he needs to be Medlock good and do all the kicking roles...That woukd allow us to roster a Hansen and a karomoka who would help us big time on teams and have ability to back up a few of the DB positions and SAM

Basically this is it..and it's not wholesale changes and extreme measures that are needed...but issues serious enough they can't be left as it...14 games in now...and it's apparent as ever...if not worse...
-
Needed tonne making some a few weeks ago already when it was apparent where our weaknesses and inefficiency is I hope so...but not super confident...look how many games we been unprepared and out coached to start....whoever we face is gonna be a hungry team who hasn't been there in a long time....no complacency will.be there with them Yup...cause as we are constructed now...and what we have shown...2 top notch games in a row...with one having to be on road is nowhere close to being a given with this team right now...we have 4 games to make some serious tinkering.. We did in 2019 which put us over.. Hopefully O'Shea goes and revisits previous success and what was key in it You recall me saying weeks ago...not addressing things and letting them fester and have wins gloss over it? Well the puss is starting to ooze out of a festering wound now at worst time in season from in my observation where only teams that aren't progressing and getting better are us and the riders...and that is saying something
