I can't think of....one...regardless u can have a player play a diff position than what he technically listed as or came into league as..we do it constantly on defence...how many teams field a ser with literally 8 dbs at times...how'd that work out for us...pretty good id say for most part

Cooley iff in as the "5th" would have no impact on BO whatsoever...and they could be lined up in tandem outta backfield And you dont know until you try...but nobody other than our starters from last yr..Wheatfall and the guy they ct...Hall showed much of anything...Cooley showed the most of anyone...has right attitude...is hungry and can catch and run....so create schemes to suit your players as opposed to forcing stuff on them that doesnt work or take advantage of thier skills That's what I like about Jackson being here...he does that...and thetalk and optimism for Hogan and him doing such stuff too...is the perfect environment to do it....we have 4 recievers who are gonna get bulk of the passes...the 5th guy....likely not...but a guy like Cooley who you can incorporate in swings..screens...motions...misdirections with others...actually running....thats a nice piece to an offence

doesn't matter how many Canadian starters are on defence if they only declare having to have 1...thats kinda moot If they can roster 3 oline guys...Demski..Clercius and BO there is your 7 right there with Kramdi....that is part of the frustrating part of so much Thomas last yr...and way too much Thomas and Schmeck at the same time...making our defensive front piss poor for no reason other than ....Osh's man crush on middling Canadian players...Same with Hallett coming in on the times we dropped 9 guys off...Burned pretty much incessantly...pretty sure an import DB or use of an LB that was DA'd on roster....Cole/Ayers would have been a better option We at times ...and no offence to Canadians fielded way more than needed...and it didnt make us better by any stretch for it. when we didnt need to...didnt give us our best possible guys on field doing it.....can do dame this yr....6 on offence and 1 again on defence...If Neif is actually gonna miss the Vanterpool makes sense, tho have a hard time thinking one of Wallace or Eli couldnt step in...been here long enough and if they not trusted to actually step in...why they here? yeah...not sure what happened with Buck but u could see it...and I sense he was a bit stubborn perhaps?...dunno but thanks for the prior work but good riddance

We did it last yr several times so it's doable With Parker.. Holm.. Nichols..Bonds..Griffin and whomever the CB is gonna be....Hallett...Shay...Smith...we don't really need another DB technically..more than enough coverage...so in my opinion Vaval is a luxury moreso than a dire need. Anyway they slice it they aren't gonna leave Griffin off the roster..hes to valuable and versatile for what JY does Have Cooley as the 5th reciever..doesn't need to be used exclusively out of backfield...nor does BO as we have ran him out wide as a reciever and in the slot...creates a lot of options for us.

I like the looks of that...First thin Griffin for Bridges....he wont be left off...my tweak would be swap Vaterpool for Woods....Cooley for Mitchell....we dont need 3 import oline especially if we have 2 guys that been here 2 and 4 yrs now as Canadians...and if they didnt think/figure they be good enough to start then what the eff did we do all off-season and in camp toget 4 Canadians playing???

I hope we dont go that route to be honest...Our options at guard are not that bad....no worse than last yr...and just hampers us

seem to recall the last 2 yrs ZC throwing a boatload of em...and some really bad ugly ones too...at ties forcing things...others not seeing things right..a few in panic mode...stuff a vet QB should at this point in his football life not be doing Strev has throwm some...but a lot can be chalked up to errors any rookie and or new QB may make....and thats normal....thats called learning....He also is a very smart QB and works hard at it on and off field...also turnovers were not an issue with him in 2 yrs as the QB1 in college... Not saying he is gonna be the next Flutie but he also has not taken...or been allowed to be groomed and work his way along in the CFL as an actual QB...that can't be disputed, but this is his prove it yr....and I pretty sure allowed to consistantly be a QB now....he will do just fine

yeah based on performance...of they have to eat his bonus and get rid of him at somepoint...so be it Wheatfall has earned a spot...the 5th guy ..whoever that may be has not...and likely wont get a lot of balls anyway.....unless they do the interesting thing and dress Cooley...You would still have Cobb and Corcoran (I assume as a "true" receiver of need be....and the options you could do with him as the 5th would be an interesting...and surely productive thing...Let Cobb do returs...mainly punts, and also have MCI back there on kicloffs ala Augustine...A 220 pound guy with 4.4 speed with a head of steam on a kick return....could reap nice dividends When Logan is back...he's your returner and also slides into Colley's spot and he's gained some nice live game reps We save a DA spot and that is likely Person's ticket onto the roster....which would be huge... That's what I would do anyway for likely the first 2 weeks at minimum we need 2 import DT's to rotate...or you will be seeing wayy too much Thomas...Schmeck...and lord help us if its Kornelson too....guy has shown nothing in 2 camps now....no faith in him at all and not sure why he was kept...well all 3 really...scoop Samson back off the Hammer PR and he can back up Lawson...and keep developing Davis until we either draft a stud....or sign one in FA And yeah...even without Weitz getting hurt Bailey I am sure would have bumped him off the roster...Wietz offers us nothing that a Canadian rookie LB would...or DB.....Also Bailey isnt the run of the mill token global...he's legit and it's pretty much like getting a rookie import DE on roster....

I wouldn't go that far...Strev had really 1 season to play as an actual QB...his rookie yr...where he had 5 actual starts...looking at his season numbers of 18 games is hard to project a full season of starts but if you just used his 5 starts and did it they project well for a raw rookie..had 7tds to 2 int's...ran for just under 300 yards and 4 tds...so not too shabby...yr 2 they already started gimicking him but even then he was key to us winning...when he came back that's when Buck went off the rails... Even tho it was just Preseason he looked like a guy who can get you wins and play even in a vanilla scheme and for a lot of it with guys who got cut...I will reserve judgment until I see him after B.C game and others he gets into.

but....how does a qb get better...being allowed to grow and play...how many others looked lost and like crap...Brown his first few yrs....looked pointless out there Strev mechanics have changed since first here...big time...many here havnt seen it yet as there is no real extended film on him...his release is actually quick and when in a system catered to him ball gets out fast He also now creates a better platform to throw from pocket, didnt before and did a lot of back foot passing....reps and playtime...as a QB will open a lot of eyes As for Ford...I dont see him being anything more than what we see now

agree...I grow 2 types

Can see it being a quad strain...not uncommon for a back to get one from running hard...deaccellerating and stopping Can be way less a nuisance and ongoing thing as a hammy too...so if that the case it's a good thing

he had great stats in 2018 considering he was a raw rookie and had 2 yrs of legit QB play before that at a level higher than Highschool.....plus he had real good rushing numbers too....and using last yrs stats as any metric is just pointless....He was playing basically full-back out of the gun...and raely got any first team reps with the #1's all yr in practice...what would you expect.....Ford also didnt spend 4 yrs in the NFL in any capacity...basically cause...well he's not a legit QB...thats why

Kinda like his first season and how/when he ran and parts of second....before our coaching went right stupid about it,,,,basically let him play as a dual threat QB....emphasis on the QB part And he will be fine...the issues mainly coming back....speaking from experience is more mental and the body/mind sub-conscious tendency to not go full out or play tentative and not trusting it....speaking from experience coming back from 2 of those surgeries and also working with players re-habbing from it....I think he is well past that mental part, especially with the technology and way they rebuild and rehab it now I'm more concerned with Schoen initially until we see more reps..as we havnt seen much and as a receiver cutting...stop and go...going up to grab a pass and land...sometimes thy tend to take a while to get the doubt out of their mind....I wouldn't be surprised to see him kinda let up on some plays...especially in traffic and the circus type catches where he has to go up and get one be a lil touch and go

tis true...actually a more physical one....I still say we should just start him as the "5th" receiver and incorporate him in all sorts of ways...Imagine sets with Him...BO and Logan all in the backfield?....Demski as well running in motion....sucking away who the defender for him is?....Especially if/when Pokey comes back...A unit of him Schoen, Demski and Clercius along with Cooley and Logan as the 5th guy...how could you not be succesful with that and BO as your RB??
