is any other starter in this league a downgrade from ZC.....I'd say no with this current lineup...mlostly offensive side of ball as defence needs maybe 1...2 tweeks, and the coaching we got going on...we are in no way a legit threat to win the cup....heck even make the playoffs....so sadly we should be doing a good bulk of what needs to be done next yr....now...and be that much further ahead once camp opens well 200...or 250k of it was payed upfront....so take a third of that value off whats left...so not like a team is eating a whole whack of extra salary all of a sudden...just prorated balance of whatever is left in regards to games played....be an easy flip

just like our qb's in the reg season....and thats from a piss poor scheme even for a l program...with piss poor receivers Yeah if a guy can play...he can play...this "seasoning" is a bit over used....and "earning" it in practice.....there is zero way to earn anything in practice in this day and age It's about recognizing talent and smart...and putting guys in the right spots, with adequate and proper coaching to succeed...we fail at that miserably under this regime for quite some time now We caught lightening in a bottle with a great lineup...and hungry players....and I would say were very fortunate and yeah I gonna say a bit lucky....cause from what we have seen happen and erode since 2021 win...and the inadequacies in a lot of our coaching...and being prepared, especially of late I have my serious doubts that the guy in charge has the ability to pull out of the spiral.....now there is no more lightening as the bottle is broke, or basically empty....and we did it to ourselves

I dont know...Canadian receiver who has put up two 500+ yard seasons with 5 td's...one in only 12 games....Not sure he wouldn't offer more than Corcoran...Cobb...and be nice depth...also a guy who has had made big explosion plays Don't really see Cobb or Corcoran ever being that kind of guy...if you not trying to get better and find guys...what the hell are we doing?

They should be given reps to see if they have a legit future chance....or can actually perform now...and what a boon it would be to have an entry level $$ starter, a Canadian to boot for 2..3 yrs and allow you to allocate more cash to area's of severe need. Any player who can show they can play over a less than stellar player is a valid point and something they should be exploring at every turn...sitting idly and content with past succes has us exactly in the spot we are at now If either one them...or both can show they can play say WIL right now.....would it be not the smart thing to have em play....get better as they play because they will and use that now free'd up DA spot...even 2 if you drop both Ayers and Wilson and use them for a legit DT/Nose who would make a difference....another stud receiver?...everyone said Shay was second coming of Singleton...If Cgy handled him like we do our guys....he would have never amounted to anything....they recognized the upside and talent...played him from day 1 pretty much I wouldnt say way out performed....The other guy did ok...but against and with guys nobody will ever see or hear from again

yeah if there was ever a player convert that makes sense it's that one....guy could be that valuable sub who if anything could be extra oline guy....short yardage guy for offense and defense....perfect size for a center and has way more athleticism than Kolo.....as well as way more upside

Or Jones....Allen...Woodbey....Eli at center....Shay or Smith....Bailey....Finally gave Person a shot and wow....guy can play... And we have guys we know are not good enough, and really not good depth cause...they not good enough....but here they stay...and continue to play

i not saying he isnt good....just that he ats a nice chunk of change...a desperately needed DA spot we could use elsewhere....not cut him cause he sucks....he does tho miss some easily makeable kicks the top paid guy shouldn't so is the bang worth the buck? yeah next yr is the judgement time for Strev....pretty hard to base any opinion on him all things considered this yr....amazing he actually on the field Poor group of guys to throw to....a revolving door on oline.....worst center in the league....O.C who has zero clue.....but attitude of a 25 yr coach who has been uber succesful....continually out coached gane in and gae out....we rarely look prepared.....good luck with that for any Q.B.....It effects ZC too....tho he is in serious decline and a lot of it is in his head now....he seems panicked more than not....hence all his picks last 2..3 yrs

he has best arm of any qb we have in camp....prob best pocket presence as well and the onions to stand in and let things develop for a pass more than 5 yards....guy needs reps and opportunity.....much like any young QB.. He just needs live work to see how things develop...experience on how teams do things...which is understandable....but to say he has shown nothing and has had a chance is totally false Correct....no HC would take a job if he didn't have full carte Blanche to pick his assistants....if you wanna experience the Glieberman experience with owners/g.m meddling...well you see the results of that Everything that is going on here is fully at the feet of the HC.....

ahhh...nope wrong there...A HC has full control of who he hires/wants....and if not given that liberty would not accept the job....Thats a fact not conspiracy...That goes as well as who is on his roster...he will get input from his assistants but he alone makes final deision

we gotta teach Schmeck to snap if we continue to feel need to carry him....could be his calling and bring a lot of tenacity to the oline...and him knowing the plays and not havig to react as a DL guy may just be his saving grace Bryant sadly is last yr...he's not a detriment by any means but time to move on....Be it free agency....Draft or a guy in house ....Vpool scared me there and would like to see Randolph transitioned there next yr Do we see Manu late this yr or available next?....if/when that's a huge addition....Do we cement him for yrs at a tackle spot, or does he become Drew Desjarlais 2.0 at guard....but better Kolo needs to be gone next yr if for anything he is not the future....he's not the present....Neuf on fence about.....until we see a diff center in there it is truly hard to judge our guards, but he not as bad as people make it out to be.

our ace in the hole is he is a Canadian who came from a Canadian school....and had zero U.S ball experience Pretty much the death blow to any prospect...especially so for a Q.B....We may see him next yr.....worst case for 2027 season is my guess

yup....thats why stats are misleading....and not knowing the context or time and circumstance of it I don't think ZC has the ability now to drag a team to victory on his back...unless everything is perfect for him and he has a certain type of player who can bail him out a lot and making him look better than he actually is....and we don't have those guys anymore Prime Schoen...Lawler...Bailey making a lot of the tough and grimy catches and then yac after....as well as physical presence keeping DB's honest...Woli and what he did...Darvin and the tough and timely grabs...plus the leadership he brought and the do it like me presence....we have so let our receiver group turn into garbage, add in a convenience hire for OC...Basically a guy with no real experience other than being B0's hype coach...well you see what we get

to be honest over the course of his starts he averages about 209 yards...not stellar by any means but not as bad as you make it out.....and as for his running....I wouldn't judge that until next yr as he is just a yr removed from a knee reebuild...an injury 1000's of guys come back from, but as mentioned here by others, and from first hand experience it 90% of times takes a good full yr to actually get back to where you were before injury. and that injury too sits in your head until you finally realize you are 100 percent....so writing him totally off at this point is not warramted....it definitely effects his pocket presence as well and self preservation.... Next yr tho we are tied to ZC....and then just rookies and no experience guys barring any trade, so let ZC...Strev and whomever else is here battle it out in a full on open competition for the starter, and then sort it out who is the best...we may unfortunately be in the deep woods wandering for a yr our 2 at the position and on offence as a whole, so smart forward thinking would be to shoring up this yrs defense as best we can ...figure out and find who our best players are...with no bias involved be it tenure...nationality or type of glue they apparently bring and hope we can ride them as the backbone and still be successful while we sort out offence last several seasons he has had a lot of sub 200 yard games as well...and looked horrible in the process...has thrown double digit int's 4 of last 6 yrs and well on his way to 5 in last 7.....pro's and con's on all sides of our QB situation We effed up not retaining Brown and rolling with guys from the 2 cup urs at several spots as Osh still lived in past and considered them these unreal best of the best....no forward thinking If we kept Brown....and also had Strev and a coaching team and co-ordinator to create something to compliment their styes...and ut pretty similar really, as both work well in a roll out and srint offence....we would be light yrs ahead where we are ow, and good cgance Strev would have actually been developed more and not beat to a pulp and forced into a system not suited to him

No..but they could be used as rotational pieces and as depth with experience...more use than our 2 Canadian dt's not named Lawson... @DTonOB you have some defensive rep numbers for our DA's? I know Vavals will be squewwed as he was an injury replacement but curious on others..and not including goaline/shortyardage reps as they basically just a body What kinda reps did CGY's DA's get in comparison?

If sterns is our best..we in a world bad...hes good if we had 2 other imports as tha marquee guys and he has his role...but as your numero uno...ouch

Yeah Thomas isnt reason...but he has no business on roster...and won't ever give a tide changing play or any impact...factor in zero upside now...no relevance...why he playing...he just taking reps away from better players and blocking up development of youngsters with upside...there several guys on the roster doing that OC guy has no clue on how to create let alone manage a pro playbook and his play calling and situational decisions are awful Too much buddy relationships here are clouding the proper judgement of decisions...

All points count...regardless how insignificant they seem and when given up How many games in the cfl do you see come down to 2 to 5 points a game for win in waning seconds...we don't give away those 2 for better field position and we at worse are in o.t...and to show no faith in your returner to make a big run is pathetic...we parked him on the 10 with instructions that if it was gonna land around him...let it go....sooooo weak and playing not to lose....in our case trying not to lose...no excuse for that decision...and when you ever see that occur in a cfl game...let alone 2x in same game....I'll tell ya....never Well when cut u will never know...other teams put in work and time in their own guys so other teams cuts they for most part have zero intel on them...or zero need as they sliced away their own dead weight and replenished it already Funny thing Ham has prob now what 8..9 guys on their roster contributing...guys we deemed expendable or not worth the cost...and a couple of our former management and scouting guys...about 18 percent of their roster What's their record and how they look compared to us? Coaching made the roster...so....we're hooped They suck tho...so that money can be better used..and rookies if need be can play too...everyone was a rookie at some point
