  1. I suspect there is a team leader player who is ruining the attitude on this team. Is there any other explanation for the up and down play they show? Outstanding one game, don't give a **** the next. Even from one period to the next. That's not coaching. I don't know who it is, but changing coaches won't change that. Unless you get a coach who knows who it is, and puts an end to it with benching, send to the Moose, or trade. There are guys who appear to think it doesn't matter all that much. I would rather watch a team that's not good but trying, than good players that don't care. Don't know how the fans can stand it.
  2. Doesn't surprise me in the least. Turns out, there's very little policy difference between Justin Trudeau, and S. Harper. But I wasn't aware of this that you pointed out. He could well be a one term P.M.
  3. Legislation pending in usa which would allow employers to demand genetic testing of job applicants. the march to corporate/state merger, ie....fascism gathers speed. it's no longer even vaguely amusing.
  4. Maybe he'll play a tune for them "green haze, all around, don't know, if I'm going up or down am I happy or in misery"
  5. I'd like to see him get creamed. Legal hit. But I doubt it'll happen.
  6. Dismantling regulations of all kinds. This has been stated by them a number of times. There's a large list. Environmental, financial, (Wall street) Medical, consumer protection, Women's rights, voting rights, it's their stated goal. Paul Ryan wants to dump Social security and any government funded medical care. He's a follower of Ayn Rand I think. A few examples here.... https://www.propublica.org/article/rules-frozen-by-trump-could-melt-away-without-a-trace and and re Telecommunications regulations: Dodd Frank is the barely adequate Law passed after the financial meltdown Lots more, all the same as this. Basically a free for all, back to the 19th century. If any of it takes hold serious damage can be done to people and to the American's ability to compete economically. I don't think they have any idea what the implications of what they're doing are.
  7. Red Herring.... misdirection.... that is Trump's game. that's what "Obama wired tapped me" is. extreme misdirection. He has a full bag of these tricks. Meanwhile the work on the real agenda goes on unnoticed.
  8. The current group represents all of the worst that America has to offer.
  9. more re Jaquie's post.... Hate the poor is back in a big way (along with hating blacks, Latinos, Muslims, Jews) These people are truly putrid. Incidentally, attacks on Jews are way up in the US.
  10. well, slightly different I suppose. I don't have much use for the Democrats. Being better than the republicans isn't much of an accomplishment. If you follow the voting, they are in agreement on war, for starters. Democrats love wars just as much as Republicans. To me, that's unforgivable. Both parties have taken turns presiding over the dismantling of their country. Average Joe has been standing still since 1970. Each party has run things since that time. But you're right, this is a wrecking crew. Trump and the Republican party running everything now, is probably going to result in a new low point for wack job government. As Trumps man Bannon says, they are dismantling the government. I guess we'll see if they can be stopped.
  11. While Trump puts on his stupid show, this is what's happening down there New York Times ditching the clean water act, the EPA, NOAA, etc., dismantling the few unions they have left, (something like 8 % rate of unionization there. good god.) selling public lands, drilling mining in Parks, all that crap. Trump is acting crazy, but he and his cohorts have a radical agenda of destruction, and they are intent on carrying it out. People should look at what they're doing, not the sideshow. Law of the Jungle pending, for Joe Lunchbox.
  12. makes sense, we have some Canadian lb and short Canadian receiver right? There's a good interview with Boateng at CFL.ca..... seems like an outstanding person, and looks pretty fearsome on the field.
  13. I agree with you. it's hard to get involved in a meaningful way. It's a lot of boring, frustrating work; I've worked on a few causes; Takes some guts to stick it out and follow through despite the roadblocks and dissapointments.
  14. yah, that's good hockey right there. Don't like fighting, but you wonder sometimes.
  15. ridiculous penalty on Trouba. guy skated into Trouba's back, falls down and Trouba gets a penalty. Seriously, that ref should be canned. Makes the league look stupid.
  16. Very interesting goldkobra. Makes perfect sense and explains everything about this mess.. Yes. And The Russian kleptocrats make all the others seem like preschoolers.
  17. https://www.propublica.org/article/five-trump-cabinet-members-made-false-statements-to-congress
  18. They forgot.... 11. Machete (Danny Trejo) 12. Juan Valdez. I'm outraged by this omission. Trump and friends lying about meeting Russians... won't be charged, nobody gets charged for lying in American politics. Clapper lied to Congress, and admitted it..... crickets. Three or so people lied to congress, while being interviewed for Trump cabinet jobs. and got caught out....... crickets. All got their job. Meeting with Russians? Maybe, or maybe not a big deal depending on what they were doing together. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they were discussing the election, and subverting it, but I doubt that we'll ever know. Unless somebody taped the conversations. That would be very interesting. For me, bottom line, the whole bunch of them, both main parties, are underhanded and untrustworthy. They don't give a rats azz about the people of the United States. Anyone that does, gets sidelined.
  19. I've read, and heard, (radio) that Scheifele is very highly motivated to succeed. I suspect Toews is that way; same as Brady. Scheifele will probably continue get better each year, to the absolute maximum of his potential. No doubt this was noticed by the Jets. well done by them.
  20. I think Rich Gannon says only good things about Trestman. I just read Trestman was steve Young's QB coach with san fran.
  21. yeah, true, guess I forgot about that. still, pretty good sleuthing by taynted.
  22. I read part of the article. Tries to appear be even handed, but actually isn't. Crediting Bill Clinton with protecting the Balkans from Russia for instance. That's wrong. That wasn't even the (fake) justification at the time. And the Balkans are in ruins. article says "WikiLeaks released nearly twenty thousand e-mails, the most damaging of which suggested that the D.N.C., though formally impartial, was trying to undermine Bernie Sanders’s campaign. " Suggested? There isn't much doubt that the DNC had decided in advance who the winner was going to be. "On May 21, DNC national press secretary Mark Pautenbach suggested pushing a narrative that Sanders "never ever had his act together, that his campaign was a mess." on and on with these examples of the bias. It's never been proved that the wikileaks releases came from Russia. Wikileaks said that's not where they got that stuff. But the author assumes it was from Russia. As a result, attention was diverted from the contents of the emails. The emails were very revealing about the nature of how upper level politics is run. You scratch my back I'll scratch yours. Article says "Bruno Kahl, the head of Germany’s foreign-intelligence agency, has expressed concern that Russian hackers are also trying to disrupt the German political scene," which is correct, (that he said that, not that it happened) Yeah, but also... "After a multi-month, politically charged investigation, German intelligence agencies could find no good evidence of Moscow-directed cyber-attacks or a disinformation campaign aimed at subverting the democratic process in Germany." I would say basically when you read through, it seems like a clinton/Democratic party establishment follower's work.
