Been there twice. Feels like you're sitting a million miles away in the stands compared to IGF. Just saps the energy imo. Concessions are much better at Mosaic, but IGF is a MUCH better venue to watch a football game. Only problem with Mosaic is they don't have any good beer and you feel like you're watching through binos from the parking lot. Seats are very narrow too. They also have similar rapid transit problems to IGF.

Don't even bother looking at them. What those stats don't tell is how many times there was a 6 point difference between 1st and 4th. The overwhelming majority of these statistics were compiled when the third place team was sub.500 and there were juggernauts like the Eskimos, Bombers, and Alouettes over the past 40 years. The playing field is wide open over the past few years in comparison since the SMS came in.

You are not beloved over there? Say it isn't so. All they wanna do is talk football. You didn't break forum rule number 3 and suggest that the Riders are not the ultimate sports franchise in the history of modern sport did you?

Your buddy is part of the problem now too.

The advantage to the Riders LBer corps because they rotate more mediocre players through during the game? It makes zero sense. Let's just discount MOP level play from Bighill, all star level play from Santos Knox and give the edge to a Rider LBer crew anchored by Sam Hurl with a couple of hobos beside him. Literally the stupidest thing I have read and just kills the credibility of an otherwise good break down. Bombers LBer crew is vastly superior to the Riders....it isn't even comparable. I am gobsmacked that a professional CFL journalist would even think they were comparable let alone superior to ours.

I agree. However, it is unfortunate that they didn't move the Riders to Saskatoon and get it out of the butt hole that is Regina. Saskatoon is an infinitely nicer city.

Are you related to the Blacksmith's?

With the exception of Zac Collaros post 2015 of course.

They ban you for respectfully talking football, even though your opinion was unpopular and you were semi trolling at times, but keep a knob like Gbill who is schizo and throws a tantrum anytime anyone disagrees with him. Makes no sense.

I hear ya. When I was in my 20's I was 6'6" and around 245 lbs. In my 30's I got as high as 370lbs although it was a fairly trim 370 I still got lots of stares and commentary from people. "Hide the buffet" and such comments were meant to be good natured ribbing from friends but it kind of sucked. The last few years I have been exercising and lifting weights a lot more and have trimmed down to a reasonable 260 lbs. I could probably get lower but I do not overly watch my diet so this is probably as good as it gets. I know the feeling of being overweight, how easy it can happen, and how tough it is to lose excess weight. It's not a joke for those that know this.

ALS - What happens if Vernon Adams lights it up?

Adams is not going to light it up against Calgary, and that's pretty much the only chance he's got. -

Why go through all the trouble? Because under contract he is tradable to a team desperate for QB help at a King's ransom. He was on their neg list and suddenly became a very important roster management chip even without playing. Hamilton got a fantastic return on him, and that makes him worth the trouble of signing. -
We won the season series against Edmonton last year but you are right about Calgary.

You are right that they didn't really beat anyone, teams played down to their level and they took advantage for two wins. However, both games were absolutely horrid football by the Riders. With the cream puff schedule coming out of the gate they needed to capitalize with at the very minimum 3 out of 4 games. With only 6 home games remaining and a long stretch of West games in the back half of the season, even at 2and2 the Riders have painted themselves into the corner. The only West team they may win a game against is BC right now. Collaros is a bust, that quite frankly should probably retire and won't last 2 games when he comes back, and Bridge and Watford are just not good. Couple that with an awful OL and this is going to be a long season. Probably have a lot of close games because of a first rate D but the scores won't be indicative of the non compete level of the team.
