I think what a lot of people don't get is that if Nichols is passing for 350+ yards is probably because they shut Harris down and we are behind by multiple scores. His low yardage is somewhat by design.

I think Wilson will be fine at MLB. He's no Bighill but it's not like Ottawa has Powell anymore.

Go on crowing about your 30000 fans, we will enjoy our multiple professional sports options, many large scale event opportunities, and multitude of entertainment options and spread our money around while still pulling in 27-28k. I would suspect that Toronto's defence cannot possibly play as poorly as they have the last couple of games. You really think it was your offence that was the kill shot against them? LMAO....The Toronto defence was literally stumbling and bumbling around and didn't even know what their assignments were. You could see them trying to figure it our pre-snap on a ton of their plays. Fajardo took advantage of a defence that was so assignment poor that their were missed coverages on virtually every play. In all honesty, I think we would have hung 70 points on that D. I would imagine by week 5 or 6 they will at least know their playbook.

The Riders get a couple of decent outings against ultra weak defences and think they are world beaters. Fajardo is going to get pasted against the elite of the CFL. Many of his passes are lame ducks that a decent D will pick off. I have a feeling he will be coming back to earth with a crash, not a gentle landing, starting this week. BTW, Ripper....your team is 1-2 this year. Worry about that...not our undefeated QB....because right now you guys are not a contending club.

On just about every Toronto offensive play there was someone in the huddle asking someone else what their assignment on that play is. Watch it on PVR, these guys do not know their playbook yet. Same on defence. I think TO's main problem right now is that the coaching staff does not have them prepared to play. I won't give Saskatchewan a lick of credit for their win yesterday knowing that some of the TO players don't even know their assignments from play to play.

No he didn't....and it won't be the last time either. However, I cannot think of a single player EVER that played great football every game.

Man....if you need solace after a win that vaulted us to first place in the division against a previously undefeated team, you are going to be a puddle when we actually lose a game.

We won despite losing the turnover battle in a big way. That's tough to do as well.

We did the bare minimum needed to secure victory...but at the end of the day we secured the victory. I am actually highly encouraged to see our offence capable of delivering some big plays for a change. It's a Lapo offence, that had an off night grinding but we all know that in 90% of our games we'll be able to do that. The big pay aspect of our offence that was non existent until this year should encourage everyone.

I agree. To be able to win a game like that is a testament to our overall team strength.

You can't say it is luck if you do it virtually every time. Our D is very good at not surrendering majors.

Last night was no masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a win against a very good football club. It's an 18 game season. Some games the O will need to step up for us to win and other games it will be the D. I really don't care which one it is as long as we get the victory. We were not lucky to win last night, we outscored our opponent. They didn't gift us these points, we didn't get a bunch of turnovers on lucky bounces, we went out and made plays to score and prevented them from doing the same. It was an ugly, hard fought game from two very good teams. I don't get all the angst here about the win.

Two epically poor defences going toe to toe last night. Just an awful display. No pressure on either QB. Just sitting in the pocket with oodles of time. Micah Johnson looks like a one hit wonder right now.
