  1. We haven't lost a single man game to injury of a decent player this year apparently. Luckiest run in the history of pro football. Don't count.
  2. Goof Migs is over at Riderfans stating the Bombers haven't lost a single decent starter to injury this year. Maston and Couture don't count because apparently Maston hasn't played in a long time and Couture isn't a starter.
  3. If I wanted advice on war, a war monger's advice is exactly who I would be seeking.
  4. Honestly I came into that game expecting a loss, however, now that we lost I'm kind of upset that we lost because we were the better team imo.
  5. I don't ever want a coach that excuses losing. If you are part of our team you get paid to win. I like that mindset.
  6. TB is a closet Lion fan and commentary on anything Lions related should be ignored.
  7. Yes...We absolutely waxed them with Rourke fully healthy..on a bum foot it would be a blow out. I don't have to be a doctor to know there is zero chance Rourke can return at 100%.
  8. Shut up with your Rourke and BC Lion man crush already. This is a Bomber forum. Nauseating really. People are concerned that a player with a injury that generally takes 6-8 months to heal may be risking his career by coming back in 10 weeks. One does not have to have a medical degree to connect those dots.
  9. As long as it isn't Molson Pilsner you can drink what you want as far as I am concerned.
  10. Carey better learn to play in the cold weather then because he hasn't been good playing in the cold so far in his career.
  11. I agree. McCrae kinda demonstrated why he would be ahead of Harrison. Dude plays receiver quite well. He might be listed as a RB but he certainly has receiving chops as well. Who is to say it wasn't a coin flip between him and McCrae by the coaches, It's quite possible they only went with McCrae because at the time Demski was out and they wanted that kind of versatility....and then McCrae just ran with it at receiver and Harrison gets parked. Next to Demski, McCrae is our most versatile offensive player...I can totally see why he would get the nod over Harrison even if they were equal in receiving talent.
  12. Mother Nature and the football gods are the only playoff opposition I fear.
  13. I'm guessing he didn't want to be on the PR. Might not be the last we see of him. If no one else picks him up, I could see him potentially being in TC next year.
  14. We kicked the crap out of a Rourke led BC Lions once, and if we have to do it again I am confident the score won't be much different....and that was on a short week as well. I'm more concerned about Calgary than I am about BC....and I'm not all that worried about Calgary. The only team that worries me is the Winnipeg Blue Bombers not showing up ready to play because imo that's the only way we lose unless extreme weather evens the playing field.
  15. One could have said that about Carlton Agudosi a couple months ago. Some guys need a bunch of time before they can be properly evaluated. The PR is there for player development and not every player is a month on the PR type of guy, some guys need a year and are kept there because there talent is raw. I don't think it a failure in any way, shape, or form that a player is given rope on the PR and then progress is measured months later. Even Calgary has players that they simply release after months on the PR. This is not a roster development issue. Some hit, some don't. Harrison was given a bunch of time because they saw some raw talent in him, it never progressed beyond that and we cut bait...it happens and it is not roster mismanagement when it does.
  16. We had a ton of defections and NFL losses last year. You are not happy with Dalton Shoen, Demerio Houston, Donald Rutledge etc. I am not sure what the hell you are talking about really. Our replacement of star players had been superb and are far above what's leftover in the cupboard material. Fact of the matter is that you are always going to have fringe CFLers primarily on your PR...these are the guys who will stick around for 500 bucks a week. However, we also have guys like Carlton Adugosi stewing for a season and a half ready to serve, so I am unclear what you are getting at. You are suggesting that we are not bringing along players through scouting or off our neg lists and that is flat out incorrect. We are, and have been emulating Calgary's system for a few years now and I think, based on results, doing a better job of it than them. Honestly our depth has been tested at almost every position this year and the win/loss column shows that we are a very deep team.
  17. Glenn was better than Buck in Winnipeg. More or less by default though because Buck couldn't stay upright. Glenn would have been much better than Lefors/Bishop in 2009, therefore cutting him was a big mistake.
  18. I quoted what I was responding to and it had zero to do with playoff seeding. You suggested TO was unimportant to the league..I disagreed. I also suggested nothing about TSN not carrying the league, although the possibility of that happening without TO certainly exists.
  19. The TV and sponsorship dollars are about 35% of league revenues. They are extremely important to EVERY teams survival and would be severely impacted without a league presence in TO, Mtl, and Van.
  20. I wasn't worried about him at all. He was a rookie last year and just needed to mature. His leg strength this year is really improved as well.
  21. I don't mind that he gave up on Glenn. I just think the way he did it was idiotic. He cut him adrift without any semblance of a plan and then blamed the fans for asking WTF? Kelly should have hung onto Glenn, either got him back to 2007 Glenn or at least had the time to find something better than Stefan Lefors or dragging Michael Bishop out of CFL exile as his plan. Kelly had a massive amount of passion and drive to make the Bombers better...on that I have no doubt....problem is that he let that passion call the shots instead of using his head and it cost us dearly. He acted before he thought things through and that very rarely leads to success. Letting most of our OL walk away in FA was pretty problematic too.
  22. Yes..that's how I remember it too. We wa Ted SVR at RT
  23. Hopefully a choice our team will never have to make.
