Winnipeg is so small, i've been on dates with three of the Bomber cheerleaders it's great to see they're doing well, this was back before they were Bomber cheerleaders ofcourse, and when i was single. Everyone looks great though! Atleast if our team doesn't look good the cheerleaders do!

I'd rather have Glenn to be honest. Solid and dependable. In a weak eastern division we might be able to win the east with him, and have Goltz learn and package some plays for him, then in a year or two hopefully Goltz is ready. But who knows they said that about Glenn in Hamilton with Porter, and with Tate in Calgary. Glenn's remained the constant. Goes to show how under rated this guy really is.

Wow that new layout for their site is putrid.. I have no issues with Colin but c'mon man.

the bad news is we LOST to hamilton and montreal.
The good news is they can't beat anyone else.

After watching Saskatchewan destroy Hamilton 37-0 we're officially tied for second at 1-3 with Hamilton and Montreal. As bad as we've been all season Hamilton and Montreal both look as pathetic if not more. Who would of thought at 1-3 we would be log jammed for home field advantage.

As good as he was in 2011 (Hefney was better btw) I think he peaked in 2009-2010. Both years he was outstanding not only in coverage, but he was explosive as a kick returner. Clearly he's lost a step. He was never the quickest guy but he had a great football IQ really knew where to be in coverage or where to follow his blocks returning the football. You see him try and make these reads and get burnt because he's s step slower now. Time to relieve him of his returner duties and let him focus on the Defensive side of the ball. No doubt it's taken a toll on him.

and Burke said they called running plays on pretty much every first down in the 2nd half.... you can't establish the run without a passing game to back a defense off. Just turning around and giving the ball to simpson won't do **** all for the offense. Until you can pass your way out of 2nd and long, because you WILL be in 2nd and long regularly in the CFL, you can't establish and kind of offense and therefore get your running game more involved.

Ding ding ding we have a winner. In the CFL you need to be able to pass to open up the run. The defense will just stack the box all night long until Buck proves he can move the ball through the air.

Both Hamilton and Edmonton don't look like anything to write home about.. But it is a long season and i'm sure adjustments will be made. But thats great news for us because Edmonton is usually the cross over team and Hamilton is usually one of the teams in the hunt. Looking forward to our Defensive line getting to Burris all night! Big 0-3 start for Hamilton would be huge for us.

The defense was exceptional. The special teams and offense was meh. The turn overs were brutal! When you turn over the ball 5 times and only allow 11 points you know you've earned your pay cheque and then some.

I think Kavis Reed want's his old buddy from Saskatchewan Kerry Joseph to play some games this year That Eskimo o-line is terrible!

Big target, fond memories of him here in Winnipeg. Too bad he couldn't duplicate his success in Edmonton or Saskatchewan. There would be nothing to lose by bring him in at the right price, if not I won't lose any sleep.

Buck loves the game of football. He will continue to play as long as a team takes a chance on him. Unfortunately the hits have taken a toll on him over the years. His pocket awareness is very poor for a veteran QB who's been around as long as he has, and he tends to lock on a target and rushes his throws. I don't blame him he's taken A LOT of licks over the years and mentally I would be surprised if he didn't do these things.

Thought the defense played well considering the three first half turn overs by the offense. The thing that really kills me is Bruce pushed off of Johnson yet they call it on Johnson.. a 50 yard play while the game is on the line. If you're not going to call it against Bruce then don't call it at all.. Then to miss the PI on Edwards.. Tough way to lose the game. I thought the defense played good. I mean SJ Green got his catches but he made the tough catches, nothing was ever easy. Buck played well at times, absolutely terrible at others. It's disappointing that with all the misfortune Winnipeg had all night they still had a good chance to win the game. Oh well.. 17 games to go.

Very SIMILAR Offense that Mike Kelly ran here.

My idol as a kid. I was a shorter shifty running back as a kid and I tried to emulate Sir Charles game. Probably the best first cut runningback i've ever seen. Yes that includes NFL...

As we all know Cornish and Harris finished one and three respectfully in rushing last year. Throw in a guy like Messam who is a former 1000 yard rusher is there a good nucleus of good Canadian backs in the league? Will most teams eventually feature a Canadian back? Clearly coaches are giving these guys a chance instead of just throwing them on special teams, are guys like Harris and Cornish the exception, or eventually the norm?

Gerald Riggs showed well when he played for the Argos. Coker isn't very big... I don't think he's 200 lbs. He's built for speed. Riggs is the kind of back who could carry the ball 20 times a game while Coker can't.
Size for a running back especially in the CFL is greatly overated. Most of the runningbacks are shorter and lighter anyways. Charles Roberts and Fred Reid exclusively were both around 160-180 soaking wet and both had no problem carrying the load 20 plus times when needed.

Rumour has it Rod Black voted Sam Giguere at number one.

Does that mean they'll be paying the Senator players in Canadian Tire money?

As someone who works in the healthy industry I can't help but shake my head at his comments about fast food and walmart. Heck even if he's joking which it sounds like he is, he's still a professional athlete. You should hold yourself in a higher regard. It's just plain embarrassing to be talking about fast food when you should be concentrated on football.
