Agreed. I know things are rough around here but he’s a 24 year old rookie, there’s going to be growing pains but really he’s been our best receiver all season. There’s no reason to believe he can’t get better, hopefully with a healthy Lawler and maybe an addition of Bailey or Whitehead he can actually progress properly and not have to be a number one receiver option.

Demski is also the fourth highest paid receiver in the league. We need to have a serious discussion here whether or not that’s money well spent. I actually talk to Bob quite a bit. I work for a business that he does business with. He seems always interested in talking Bombers, both current, and tells some cool stories about his playing days.

Yeah I mean can you blame people though? We’ve had a great 8 year run, 4 straight grey cups, 2 championships with in that time, people’s standards are high right now. 2-5 with an aging team is ugly no matter how you spin it, the fans know the standard for excellence and the club isn’t meeting those standards. I would be more troubled if we just accepted the mediocrity.

I would have hoped that we would have brought in some help on the D-line. It’s a glaring weakness of our team. We’re a WJ injury, or an Adam’s or fox injury away from it being a complete disaster, but sure let’s bring in a 33 year old DB who hasn’t played in two years in the fold.

Alexander should be on the bench and Holm should be at safety. Honestly our secondary isn’t bad at all. Nichols, Bond and Ford have all been playing good football. It’s hard on your secondary when the QB gets 5 plus seconds to throw every down. Unfair to expect your DB’s to contain coverage on a huge field.

Surely there’s someone about 10 years younger that’s hungry to get get better and prove they can play professional football. Unless he’s 2018 Grymes I’d say it’s going to be pretty useless, and look how good Bighill, and Alexander we’re back then and look at them now. How do you see him coming here and making a difference?

It just goes to show how clueless this regime is right now. We’re 2-5, how is a 33 year old with no upside at all any sort of answer? Shouldn’t the PR be used for young players that have some sort of upside. Let’s say best case scenario he’s able to contribute a little bit after two years off of football, we’re going no where fast this year but the regime clearly still thinks we’re contenders. We’re just taking a spot away from a guy that can contribute here in the future. I don’t like it.

Got us our first win of the season in a gutsy win and then it’s back to the bench for Zach. I get he might be a little banged up but if he can run the short yardage, at the very least get him in for a couple of plays and series here and there my god, the lenience O’sheas boys get us absolutely incredible.
