  1. Well Harris is also making 1.2 mill over the next two years with the Riders, but picking a team that needs to desperately over spend just doesn’t feel right!
  2. Probably the worst contract given out on FA. A lot of credit to his agent to get a rotational player paid like a star.
  3. He had Matt Nichols as his starting QB and his best receiver was Darvin Adam’s. No disrespect to either of those guys but big difference. We played in a lot of closer games where we needed the 3 points and we left a lot of points on the board as it was settling for 3 instead of 7 in the redzone. Something we don’t often do anymore. 4. No he values field position, big difference. He puts trust in Legghio to pin them deep, he puts trust in the D to do their job and he knows once we get the ball back on a short field we’re going to be putting up touchdowns more often then not.
  5. I’m shocked. Surprised but very happy. This might just be the best receiving core I’ve ever seen in my life time. Good luck trying to cover those guys.
  6. So if anyone disagrees with you it’s so called “ yah but” interesting..I guess that’s a full proof way of convincing yourself you’re right all the time.
  7. After a busy negotiation period and active day one, it’s been pretty slow day two and three. Probably not a lot of cap room left for most GM’s. Would love to bring in a DL like Mike Moore, or Shane Ray want to beef up that DLine otherwise I’m pretty content on what we’ve done this off season. Have to rely on our scouts to continue to bring in talent.
  8. Same with Twitter. I’m a young guy but I got rid of all my social media during the pandemic and couldn’t be happier.
  9. Well said. We’re the best team on paper because unlike most great teams we didn’t lose anyone of consequence to FA, and we added the best receiver in the game to an already great receiving core. With all the injuries we had in our linebacking and secondary last season and the emergence of new starters we’re in a great position. Not to mention like you said our scouting staff is always bringing in new talent to fill our roster.
  10. The 15-3 Bombers who added the best receiver in the game aren’t the best team on paper? I mean fair enough @Mikeplease educate us on who you think the best team on “paper” is it the Toronto Argonauts who don’t have a starting QB currently?
  11. If we’re going to make any more moves I would love to bring in Mike Moore. Solid DT, had six sacks last season with the Als.
  12. Not to mention that early 2000’s team won nothing. I’ll take the pedigree of proven winners over a team that never was.
  13. You’re on a bomber forum we’re not going to sit here all day and circle jerk your Grey Cup victory. Congrats on the win, any given Sunday, let’s leave it at that and move on you don’t need constant validation from another teams fan base.
  14. Probably wants a significant raise. with all the star receivers taking priority and getting signed between 200-300 k a lot of GM’s are going to be hesitant to throw North of 200 for Bailey. I guess that becomes the problem when your top receiver or two is making so much it’s the second tier guys who suffer because most GM’s will need to bring in a young American receiver to fill that hole. No doubt he’ll find a home but it may not be on day one.
  15. Agreed if big targets like Woli and Augdosi are your 4th and 5th options you’re in a really good position..
  16. Well said. It really shows how spoiled we’ve become when we complain about Grey Cup performances; like getting there three years in a row and winning two isn’t a major accomplishment.. Like we didn’t have a 30 year drought and a lot of bad to mediocre seasons in between that time period.. heck 10 years ago I just wanted the Bombers to not be the laughing stock or the league. How quick we forget!
  17. 200k for Sayles might end up being the worst move of the entire off season. Wow I can’t believe Hamilton is throwing that kind of money at him.
  18. Maybe they make a bid for Geno? For the price tag he demands id probably rather have White and Dunbar..
  19. Guarantee you the Riders over paid to get him and he’ll be making as much if not more then CF was making this season you can bet on that. With the way the market is shaping up it’s looking like another season with a terrible o-line for the Riders, Knowing the state of the franchise I think this is a last ditch effort on O’day to keep his job.
  20. I guess you can argue that however, BC and Edmonton threw around a ton of money on day one last year too.
