  1. If Packers like him but Carney & Trump don't get a trade deal this week, then Packers might have to pay an extra 35% tariff on Elgersma's contract (since he is imported from Canada) of $294,350 So that could be a factor as to whether they keep him around.
  2. My guess is that ZC may be out for awhile. Just a hunch but he may be dealing with a recurring injury from August 2023, after which his efficiency as a QB began to decline. Right now, six games or 1/3 into 2025 season, ZC has the worst QB efficiency rating among all the 9 regular starting QBs. Collaros also has the highest INT percentage with 8 INTs vs 7 TDs. Colloros's QB efficiency rating isn't just the worst among starters, at 89.1 it is significantly worse than the others. You could argue Zach has the weakest receiver unit in the league which would contribute to this inefficiency. But looking back at 2024 with a better crop of receivers, Collaros threw 19 INT vs 21 TDs - this includes 4 INTS in the GREY CUP and 4 TDs in West Final - which gave Zach the worst INT percentage last year among QBs who started 10 games or more. That is a total of 28 INT versus 28 TDs in the past 25 games in which Collaros has appeared. Yes you can lay some of that on the receivers. But still. This is not to take away from Zach's substantial contribution since he arrived here in 2019 - respect! But the decline in Collaros's performance since around August 11 2023 neck injury vs Elks (when Dru Brown came off the bench to win the game) is clear as day.
  3. Will we ever know who pulled Collaros and why? Osh says it was not performance related. In any case, rookie coordinator might not have cojones to bench a future HOF QB when he ain't performing - for whatever reason. My guess is Collaros is concussed. Strev played with energy and could thrive with more game reps.
  4. You could tell in the pre-game interviews yesterday - O'Shea, Collaros, Jefferson - that they have no confidence and no answers. They know they've got problems.
  5. 13 turnovers. 109 points given up last 3 games. This club terminally ill.
  6. Vets don't need to practice - OShea
  7. Jarious Jackson is available to coordinate
  8. You could tell Vaval would fumble by the way he was holding the ball.
  9. Today, we should just run the snot out of the ball. Argos D is very effective bringing pressure but they are 7th in defending against the run - average of 118 yards per game given up on the ground. Let's mix it up and give the rock generously to Brady, Chris-Ike, Strev, Demski = Victory. Go Blue!
  10. Calgary scores 78 points vs Bombers last 2 games. Winnipeg's limp-armed QBs throw combined 6 ints. Out-hustled, out-coached, out gunned out schemed. O'Shea, after the game on 'OB, proving that he is arrogant or stupid or both, says: "There's no reason to change what we're doing." Oh? There will be changes. Like, empty seats. Bank on it.
  11. Post Game: "Nothing changes." - Mike O'Shea. "There's no reason to change what we're doing."
  12. Calgary has scored 78 points vs Bombers past 2 games.
  13. Picked Stamps in the Pickems but did not expect it to be quite this ugly. Bombers finally exposed. Wanted to see more of Streveler but now I've seen enough. Calgary looks legit. End of an era for Winnipeg. Let the rebuild begin.
  14. Very high % of his throws are outside the catch radius. Slightest pressure = panic. Slow decision matrix. I've seen enough. But Hogan, a rookie OC, may lack the cajones to make a change.
  15. Could add Collaros to that list.
  16. Bottom line is Calgary was prepared for us and Bombers were not prepared. Overall it looks like Bombers hit their high water mark last year but the lack of preparedness for the opponent is on the coaches. My main takeaway: Collaros has become a receiver killer with his noodle arm and lack of accuracy. No wonder Schoen and Demski are hurt, they have to jump 12 feet high to snag the pass, or it's behind them, or it takes far too long to arrive. Many saw this coming 2 years ago - hoping Bombers would promote Dru Brown. Hopefully Jarious Jackson can intervene and help devise better schemes to help a QB who is in decline and has no O line protection. I know it won't happen but would prefer if Strev starts next game at QB.
  17. Yes, always liked him. Didn't get enough touches in Winnipeg. He hits the gaps fast and has good vision. Can be slippery. But he stands too tall when he runs and often goes down on first contact.
  18. Re-watched the game. Bombers D had very little push up the middle but overall D is solid. Special teams better than previous couple years. O looked lost for the most part. O line struggled and did not dominate. Here's hoping J Jackson can be honest with Hogan, Osh etc in his assessment of Collaros, who's clearly on the downswing in terms of arm strength. Let's face it, Strev has better accuracy and velocity. In some ways we were lucky to be facing Masoli or result could've been different.
  19. Player of the Game: Tavita Asotui Peter Eli
  20. To me, he looked hesitant getting into the gaps. Last week he flew into the hole. But it could also be that the blocking isn't there. Put Cooley in, find out which it is.
  21. Second half adjustments should include moving the launch point and more roll-outs for ZC. Also, more Cooley. Let's see what he's got.
  22. Parker looks great at Safety
  23. Let's see more Cooley. We need to find out if he is for real.
  24. Terry Wilson might be Bombers only deep throw threat.
  25. Stamps QB problem has to be connected to Dickheadson. Maier is trash, VA2 is trash. All because Dickheadson has his angry nasty nose in their business.
