Well, I'm looking forward to the new American Crime Story. Katrina and the events around it was a clusterf*** of epic proportions - go figure, it happened in a predominately black, Southern city, so no one knows anything about it! I've been to New Orleans, so it's got a special place in my heart. Just a awesome, awesome town. And the people, even better. To the world traveller's out there - get to NOLA! What're you waiting for??! Now, back to Katrina, the Lower 9th Ward was the worst hit in the entire city. This one area of town, 1.6 sq miles, was breached from THREE different sides. The result....? I'll let you be the judge. These are some pics I took in 2013....some EIGHT years after the hurricane. new

Most of it's easy to find if you've got 10 mins to Google. - "Jacob Trouba" the app gets released to little fanfare - interesting references to father Trouba and his (over?)-involvement in youth hockey where they're from - the "can't come here" comment I can speak to, but re-reading Rich's post it's entirely possible he simply means travelling to see Jake play often isn't realistic unless they were to move to Wpg. ------------------------- Biggest telling 'event' in the Trouba saga for me was when the Sun's Wiebe tracked him down at the World Championships - so he's not really in NHL mode at the time, keep it mind - and Weiber got printable quotes from him on how little playing his offside mattered to him. "not my favourite, but whatever helps the team" stuff.... 'twas quite the far cry from the statement proclaiming Wpg to be holding back his career b/c Buff & Myers were ahead on the right side depth chart.

GBill's problem summarized in one response he made in that thread... There were not two posters saying they don't like them. There was one who joked about there being a better alternative to send to camp and another who pretty much LOL'd with words. I also find it amusing when one poster (constantly) complains about another, then proceeds to be just as active a member as they were previously. That tells me it's likely not as big a deal as it's being made to seem. Moreso it makes it seem all personal between each other, and that's what we've got here. I mean out of the 2 in question, I know which I find more condescending & aggressive....and it's not the guy with the Bomber in his avi.

No clue who this guy is - but if it means one of Vatanen, Lindholm, Manson, Theodore or Fowler shakes loose from ANA, Jets better be making some calls.... Goaltending be damned - improving the D is priority #1 for me. Starts with getting (by force, if necessary) Trouba to sign long term.

FYP to include only the relevant part. I'm not sure why people expected a 23 yr old tender to be a legit #1 with no hiccups along the way. Seems like a problem with expectations, not with the goalie himself per se. IMO Jets biggest blunder last season was not having a capable #2, not the decision to ride Helle itself. ...now if he's not getting that league avg save% this year and next, then we can talk about being a career backup. Until then, who knows. Scott Darling is 4 years older & just got a lot of $$$ and 4 years of term. I'm not certain he's accomplished anything more of substance, other than being on a far better team. Agreed. They got themselves hamstrung worrying about the expansion draft and forgot the important things along the way....1) winning NOW kinda does matter to people and 2) Vegas would NEVER have picked Hutch to begin with.
