  1. So, the O.C. that could only squeeze 700 yards out of him in Wpg wanted him badly enough to go hard? This says that Lapo feels Arbuckle can get more production than Darvin had in 2019.
  2. Time to re-watch the big game and review how Darvin completely took Frankie W and Simoni off their games.
  3. I see Hammie ending up with egg on their faces (sorry). Once they Cats lose out to either Wpg or T.O. on Willie, they'l go running to Davis as a consolation prize. Davis will promptly flip them the bird and say "if you wanted me so badly, where were you before?" He'll then sign with one of the two who didn't get Willie.
  4. It was the passport along with the production that allowed us to mostly forgive the penalties.
  5. Remember when he drew Willie J.-level attention from us before signing as a fa with The Als.?
  6. The difference is, any seriously interested prospective teams had to submit their final offer to the league and the player’s association by noon. They can’t up the $ over the next 48 hrs.
  7. Newsflash: it’s already died with 99% of posters. 3 zealots don’t make a fan base.
  8. Briefly maybe. Flute couldn’t sustain it, and he had already cemented his place as one of the greatest CFL QBs of all time, before winning back to back cups with T. O.
  9. Toronto (hypothetically) can want him all they want. The dangerous part is submitting the binding offer. It’s pretty risky tying up 250000-290000, while knowing that we have the final 48 hrs of sole 1:1 negotiating rights. Essentially, it would take them out of the bidding for other big ticket free agents.
  10. Does anyone know the status of our defensive coaches?
  11. Naylor claims to be hearing rumblings that Argos are going hard after Willie J. If this is true then they are going to have to submit a formal offer to the league/CFLPA. Once submitted, they are bound to it. This means that they have to be more careful with their $ because they are on the hook for his offer. This potentially take them out of the running for other top talent until Willie's camp makes a decision. Anybody who makes an exorbitant offer for another team's free agents will run into the same risks. The BB don't have to offer a counter until the last 48 hours, so they are in the catbird seat.
  12. 3DownNation reports that the first offer during the negotiating window has been submitted. It's a Stamps offer for OL Sean McEwen. Even though there was no $ attached, I'm pleasantly surprised that it was made public. Hopefully there will be more to come.
  13. https://www.cfl.ca/2020/01/31/free-agency-negotiating-window-explained/
  14. Tomorrow is the inaugural start of the CFL Free Agency Negotiating Window. There are a few things to like about this, not the least of which, is the standardization by which teams can communicate and potentially make binding offers with free agent prior to the formal free agency opening on Feb 11. The interested team's specific player offers are submitted to the CFL and CFLPA between Feb 2nd (noon) and 9th (noon). Now it gets good, because all offers will then be shared with the rest of the CFL teams before each team gets 48 hrs to negotiate with their own players. The player has the final 2 hours to mull over all of their offers before making a decision. Since this is the first go, I'm expecting glitches. Hopefully we're treated to some leaks along the way.
  15. Agreed. Orange played on 6 CFL teams in the last 4 years. Something smells.
  16. It's early days, but it looks like there will be no cake-walk to the Eastern Finals this year for Hammie. I'm more optimistic about there being greater parity in the East than I have for a long time.
  17. I’ll defer to you on this Booch, but it seems to me that The Bombers would be one of the few CFL teams that would be strong players in signing him this year (if he’s released by an NFL club) considering how we are the only team that has an OC and playbook that would be able to insert him seamlessly.
  18. I'm not ready to toss Darvin Adams aside. Not only does he already look rejuvenated as a pass catcher with Collaros, but he completely took Frankie Williams and Nick Marshall off their game during the Western Final and G.C.
  19. Tighten up your laces Lucky. With BuckBuck and Collaros behind the wheel....the passing game is definitely going to look different.
