My only objection to the VGK winning the Cup is the still fresh memory of the Jets 1.0 entering the NHL on completely different criteria. They were viewed as being too competitive to play as a complete team and so they had a “reclamation draft that took our best players. And we were “allowed’ to have the 18th pick in the draft. Oh, and we got to keep 2 goalies and 2 skaters. In the ensuing expansion’ draft all the remaining NHL teams got to protect 15 skaters and 2 goalies.
