  1. I like Hall > Benevides, but what is interesting is that Bomber brass seems to as well. They are going after some big names with those two and both seem to be interested in coming here. That's a positive.
  2. Are we really complaining? This is a good thing. It shows the Bombers are going to be able to make those payments and that they are making enough to afford them. Somehow, despite so many media members screaming, the sky didn't fall.
  3. Stewart was really good here. Always liked him a lot.
  4. Another good move. He's a good player, fits well here. Love that we are signing our Canadians. Baby steps as we improve that aspect of the team.
  5. He took a leave from the Bucs due to health issues, if I recall. Cortez will really help the offense but we'll see what happens at QB first.
  6. I would love to see Hall's effect on this secondary. Hope he wants to leave Sask and head over to the good side.
  7. I think Brohm winds up back here.
  8. I still think our offensive (and even some defensive) issues stem from the personnel and not coaching. Like how our running game looked a whole lot better with Cotton over Grigsby suddenly. Our WRs for the most part underperformed. Guys like Kelly and Bryant are not going to help create a viable offense.
  9. Strikes me as a downgrade to go from Cortez to Chapdelaine, though Chapdelaine still isn't a bad option. Will wait and see what happens if they get Benevides, but I'm not sure I see the end goal from the Rider perspective. Still strikes me as scapegoating the coords, particularly if they DON'T come away with Benevides as DC.
  10. Cause it matters so much considering it's ******* december.....smh Just goes to show the rampant dysfunction that still exists in the Bomber front office. Power struggle for a month and a half over firing a coordinator. Why are you married to this idea that the length of time it took to make the announcement automatically means there was a power struggle? That's a pretty huge leap, based on complete lack of facts to support that. I guess when you leave the fan base twisting in the wind for 7 weeks after the season, it leaves a lot of time for speculation. My bad, I guess. I should just buy my tickets like a good little boy and stop questioning anything the Bombers do. Lemmings Atomic. That's all they are. Can't question because you're not loyal. Can't ask why things are taking so long because you're impatient. Some fans would jump off a 500 meter cliff if Walters told them so just because Walters told them so. Relax he'd say, you'll land on your feet. Won't hurt a bit. They'd believe him. I'm just glad the guy is gone so we can move forward with a coach who can actually build a defense. Besides, like the majority of us didn't think it would end this way? There are so many strawmen in this paragraph you're going to have buy some farm land. Nobody, literally nobody, is saying you "can't question" the team or franchise.

  12. I hate Benevides, but attempting to separate that I think he's overrated a bit. With Wally as HC and Benevides as DC he was in a great situation and worked with a strong group of defensive players often. I like Hall and could see Osh liking his supposedly quiet style. Claybrooks intrigues me but I'm a fan of Barron Miles too. I'd be happy with any of the three but I would go Hall-Claybrooks-Miles.
  13. I wasn't that happy to see him gone, but that list of names has me much more positive.
  14. What a class act. I can't believe Osh didn't want to hold on to this great guy.
  15. Thinking of the royal blues, if they do put out a new royal blue uni (as in not the retro ones they have now) when would they come out?
  16. For those of you who want to see the intro video: http://bluebombers.com/video/index/id/107569 Definitely a lot of royal blue involved there, in highlights and backdrop.
  17. Love the move back to royal blue. Neutral on what happens to our away jersey colour scheme - fine with white or gold (I own one of the retro gold ones they wore a few years earlier). I think the problem with the current uniforms has been the design. The logo looks very retro. Can't say I'm a big fan of it. Could be worse, could be better.
  18. Those are some hefty prices. I went to the last one here and loved it but not sure about going again.
  19. Somewhat surprised he didn't retire from HC and go out on top, but he has a good chance next year as well. I'm interested to see how this plays out for Dickenson. As Benevides found out sometimes following your mentor doesn't always work out well. Now Dickenson is set up for success with Mitchell at QB, but he will also face a lot higher expectations than he did if he had gone to one of the many franchises that were interested in him.
  20. I find Proulx struggles to call an even game. Something that draws a penalty on one side doesn't for the other. Not a fan.
  21. Wonder if Benevides gets fired. I've always hated him, strikes me as a major asshat. I like Khari, and am fine with him coming here in some capacity. Worked under MB before and had good results, though I still think MB had a lot of influence on that.
  22. Etch needs to go. I think you've made your opinion clear. I have a different one.
  23. I'd actually bring them all back. Think the offensive issues had more to do with personnel (weak OL, sticking with Grigsby for the season, and terrible WRs) than scheme. Give me a healthy Drew Willy, Paris Cotton in the backfield and American WRs not named Aaron Kelly and Romby Bryant before I can Bellefeuille. As for Etch, as much as he gets a lot of hate, I think the defense is on the right track. Obviously the run defense has to get better, and I agree with that. If its still a problem next year, fire him. Right now though I think the schemes are fine. Personally I feel like "unconventional" has become a bit of a meme. Yes, some of his formations are different, but there's a lot of stuff we run that is similar to other teams. When the team loses as frequently as they did in the last half of the season, the meme became amplified. When we were winning, the meme was spun positively. Have teams figured him out? I don't really buy it. He's been around long enough that whatever schemes he does carryover week to week probably have been evident in the other 35 years of his coaching history. He's certainly not perfect. None of these guys are, but they have also brought positives too. Stay the course and let's see if an improved roster in 2015 helps show off their work.
  24. This is a similar answer the O'Shea has given to many different questions this year. He always answers that his focus is on this week's game and that everything is always reviewed by him and the team. I really don't see an issue here. The difference is that now that the team has lost a lot recently, the media has decided to go after him. Their honeymoon with him is over it seems. I am not sure what answer he could give that wouldn't be ripped apart by the media. "Actually, I see a ton of problems and I was reviewing the whole season instead of preparing for Calgary"?
  25. Not really buying what January's selling here.
