C'mon Mike. I asssume you have a job and you have probably had other jobs before the one you have now. You know full well the differences between a well functioning organization and a porrly functioning one. That is the most optomistic interpretation of what happened here. This thing is in shambles right now. It's impossible to tell who's in charge of what and obvious the head coach is not in carge of things the head coach should be in charge of. Like who's coaching the offense. And who's playing quarterback.

Also, Marcel says it was Miller who brought him in. Not Burke. So yeah, this is some serious dysnfucntion. Another good tidbit from Penton yesterday. The Bombers have only one guy touring NFL camps right now. It was going to be two if Mack hadn't been fired. Most teams have 4. One team has 7. So that bodes well for the future as well. Total complete shiteshow.

Also, who leaked the Max Hall is starting info? Thye should be FIRED too. And Madani should be banned from all CFL reportage until he coughs up the name.

Buck has almost nothing to do with trading for Tait. Even the biggest Buck fans know he's not the future. Even people who think he should start the next game know he's not the future. Even if he starts, stays helthy, gets us in the playoffs, he's not the future. Tait would be the future. This has everything to do with how you feel about Tait. Will he be healthy? How good is he? Is he an ass? What would he cost? Would you rather make a play for Bo Levi, Drew Willy, Collaros? Are you willing to start up 2014 with Goltz? Those are the decsions. Buck is irrelevent. One man's opinion.

What OC doesn't get run out of just about every place he goes? Fans are always going to blame the coordinators. Seems like your genius as an OC goes pretty much hand in hand twith the talent of your QB. Truth be told if I were Marcel I would stay away from this mess. He's only going to end up with a worse reputation. Wait till the end of the year and then some team will come knocking.

Not doubting some on the board favoured Wade. But Butchko didn't re-up Mack's contract. Not this past off-season anyway. He just chose not to fire him. Which was a mistake. Should have just listened to me in the first place. He'd still have his job and we'd be 6 games ahead in our re-build or 6 games closer to firing the new guy. One of the two.

Compared to when we knew Barker was interviewing and was gonna bring Milanovich along as HC? Or when we knew Mack was in the mix? Or when we knew Mack was getting the job? Or when we knew it was Robson and Joe Pop who pulled the strings for him? Or when we knew Buchko was courting Forde? Or when we knew Forde's demands? Or when we knew Mack was thinking of firing Lapo weeks before it happened? Or when we knew MAck favoured Walters? Or when we knew Buchko was thinking of firing Mack? Or when we knew he changed his mind? Or when we knew the team budgeted for 31,000 a game this year? Or when we knew 50 other smaller things that we shouldn't have known if the Bomber board wasn't as leaky as a Vancouver condo? The Board has been incompetent and unprofessional to different degrees forever. I'm more interested in fixing that then ferretting out the source of this one leak.

Again, guys, this is about the 10,000th thing to leak from the Bombers board. Including the fact that Joe Mack was about to be hired 4 winters ago. Why are some people completely obsessed with this? Like of all the questions facing this organization today why are we asking this one over and over?

I wouldn't want to hire someone without at least throwing some bait at the big fish this offseason. You never know what circumstances are churning behind the scenes in other franchises.

I was shooting the poo with a couple of football guys about two years ago. Bison and Bombers from Miller's era. They were talking about Wade's underdog tale and everything he accomplished. One guy said, "it would be a great story if he wasn't such an *******" and the other guy agreed. Someone asked what they meant and they ran down a short list of Wade's unlikable traits. None were too serious so I don't want to exaggerate. The line that stood out to me was "ruthless in business." Not saying it means anything or that it's a bad hire or anything like that. Just telling you what those guys said.

I'm more interested in the overall shifting of the Board from an operations model to a governence model then finding the leak. I'm more interested in who the next GM will be then finding the leak. I'm more interested in what Kyle Walters and Ken Moll are doing this summer then finding the leak. I'm more interested in the long term role Miller will play then finding the leak. When he says his number one job is football that concerns me. I would want to see his number one job being analyzing the organizational model and reparing it as necessary. He maybe should decide how many people will work in football ops and exactly what they'll do. Maybe even who the top one or two of them are. But he shouldn't be deciding what we should offer for Bo Levi or whether Buck should be #2 or #3. I'm more interested in the Hamilton game then the leak to be honest. Say the leak is BOD Member 6. Make him or her quit. Replace them with someone else. Nothing changes. I can name 12 major things that have leaked in the last 4 years. This has been going on forever. Including during the entire process that lead to Mack beinghired. With all the info coming out of that process they might as well have just televised the interviews. Just get a good structure. Hire good people. And win.

Those guys don't work for the Bombers. It's not their job to defend them. also, Jim Popp's record is slightly superior to Joe Mack's. But yeah, a reporter shouldn't call a team exec a moron.

I bet Montreal fans would disagree that Herb takes it easy on the Als. Penton's CFL source didn't say the Bombers were worse then those teams. He didn't say anything about those teams at all. Don't get so heated at imaginary slights. There are enough real ones when you're 1-5. As for where we are in relationship to those teams. We are about to find out.

Agree. But the original postI was disputing was they they had a plan instead of throwing darts at a board. So basically the draft is a crap shoot and there's no evidence Kyle Walters has solved the puzzle. He seems to have done about as well as anybody else. If he really was making those picks anyway. Doesn't matter though, he won't be making the picks come next May.

Poblah is moving towards being a bust. Woodson and Volny? Seriously. You know all the teams dress 42 players right? Just because they are on the team doesn't make them good picks. We don't have any idea how much Kyle had to do with Kolhert and Palardy signings. Considering coaching special teams is probably fairly time consuming probably not a lot. Swyston and Thomas are back-ups. Fine. I forgot about Watson. That was a good pick, obviously.

We literally have not had one draft pick since Walters became AGM play one single game for us. If you are referring to the time he was supposedly draft coordinator while Mack was GM what pick do you like? Henoc Muamba? And what else? Jade Etienne? Maybe. Greaves I guess. Or are we counting Swyston and Stephan and guys like that as hits?
