  1. Exactly. Yoda had a purpose of being in exile. He was too old and would never be able to get close to Palpatine again. So he was waiting for Luke or Leia. The only reason I don't place TFA below the prequals is because it actually had decent acting (except for Hux, who Rian turned into a total buffoon for his shitty plotline).
  2. Yeah, I would totally sign on for this. It will never happen but I'd sign on for it. That movie was just butchered IMO. There are good moments, but ultimately the characters just didn't act like themselves. I mean, who sits there sulking by themselves for 6 years? Someone who was the beacon of hope in his youth, and he just chucks it away and doesn't even try and help his own sister? That's not Luke. I get what Rian was trying to do by saying that he wasn't the golden boy everyone thought he was. Except that he was. We saw the films. They are canon. And he was as amazing as he seemed. Yes, the Jedi became egotistical, but he should have been the change. I had a feeling Rian was going to wreck the movie. I never did like Looper that much and was weary them giving a director with barely anything under his belt this large franchise.
  3. Just remember, this is him at the beginning of his career. He's just starting to become a rogue, and we see at the end of Solo when he shoots Woody's character without a second thought that he's going down that path. I think there plan was to make more then one Solo movie and show how he turns into the jaded smuggler we know.
  4. I don't think it's star wars burn out. I think it's more what happened in the Last Jedi and people losing faith in Lucasfilm. I mean, they had a chance to make the Last Jedi amazing and they blew it. Also, going back in time and changing the actors that are playing characters that have become beloved to most, a lot of people don't want their image of Han ruined (not that this ruined it). And for some, the whole director change up and reshooting. That killed it for them. If they hadn't have had to reshoot most of the movie, I'm sure they would have made some money from this. I really liked the movie, I thought it was way more entertaining than TLJ, and I hope they get to do a continuation to it (whether it's a Solo movie or something different).
  5. I'm going Harris again even though I didn't get any love from him last week.
  6. And with Tim Burton directing you know that scene will be whacky crazy. They picked a good director for this movie.
  7. "I'm trying to get rid of the old regular razor now and shaving cream" The word old implies both razor and shaving cream. Of course I'm using shaving cream for shaving. But I used the old style brush on kind and oiled up before hand.
  8. You're probably talking about a straight razor: They're talking about a safety razor: I've switched to safety razors as well. Just bought mine off of Amazon. I do get nicked a bit more with it, but I'm just starting. I'm trying to get rid of the old regular razor now and shaving cream.
  9. They should have left Star Wars in December. Too much going out during the summer. Also, they spent way more money on it then they wanted because of the director switch which means they're losing more money then normal.
  10. Agreed. It was a fun ride but nothing spectacular.
  11. I've only watched one episode so far. It was ok. Haven't gotten around to watching more yet.
  12. Same. I went a few times years ago, but the food has always sucked and the shows were very meh. We've never been back.
  13. Thanks. Very interesting way of doing it. I mean, if they want to do something different, this is it I guess. What they plan on doing with Leia though, I don't know, as it does sound like she plays a big part in this, if it's real.
  14. So where's the Episode 9 stuff? This is all Episode 8.
  15. Wow that's a lot. But I'll try and answer. Infinity Gauntlet, although partially wrecked, is still intact and is in Thanos' possession. He did not leave it on earth. He uses the Space Stone to transport himself where ever he wants. You don't see it on him at the end because it's probably sitting in his house, and he doesn't need it anymore. There is going to be a Black Panther 2, Dr. Strange 2, Spiderman 2, Guardians 3, etc... so obviously those characters aren't dead. And you are probably correct, that is what Dr. Strange had to do in order for the good guys to eventually win. Gamora, Loki, Heimdall...they're dead. But those who vanished, they're not dead. I also think Vision is going to be alive after once they repair him, but he won't be the same as he was before. They'll probably follow the storyline of when he got destroyed and Pym put him back together, but he ended up being emotionless. In the next movie, you'll probably see those who "survived" end up either retiring or getting killed off. So mostly the original Avengers group. And I'm wondering if Hawkeye will take over the team or something like he did in West Coast Avengers comic book. Just speculation. I'm thinking Hemsworth will stay on. I know Taika said he wants to direct the next Thor movie, so either he lives and is in it, or they switch it to a female Thor like in the comics. Not sure about Banner and the rest. But I"m guessing Cap and IM will bite the bullet in order to save the universe. Hopefully that answers your questions.
  16. Yeah, that first 5 minutes was like....wtf did I just watch?!?! But yeah, that was totally Thanos' movie. I saw it twice over the weekend.
  17. Mind...blown. Cliffhanger ending. Great movie. That's all I can say for now until my brain can process this.
  18. Spoiler thread for Avengers Infinity War. Going to see it in half an hour so post anything related to seeing the movie here. Those of you who have not seen the movie, be warned.
