Oddly enough, Mack leads the league in drops. Mack is playing well, but the rest of that rec group has been really good too. IF the bombers can keep their O in check like they did during the 2nd half of the game during their first match, they will have a chance. Not going to be easy though.

I think from a team perspective that is what they should be gunning for. From a fan perspective....or from my perspective, I want a competitive team that is fun to watch and looks like they're doing everything they can to get to that point. I know that a run of +.500 seasons won't last forever, I know that going to the Grey Cup every year isn't achievable. That's what I want the clubs goal to be. But I know it's not realistic. I just want to watch fun/competitive football.

Is anyone saying the trio are at their best right now?

That is very true. I wonder if that is a reason why the NFL seems to be evolving a bit more (play design/game management etc) than the CFL. DT often talks about how NFL teams go for it on 4th down way more often than CFL will go for it on 3rd. NFL also has evolved to a more pass centric league (though they did borrow from CFL).

Just to add a bit of push back about MOS not using guys. Listening to Jaylen(?) Smith interview with ed Tait right now. He spoke about how his mental health wasnt great last year and he wasnt sure if he still wanted to play. Gave MOS credit for treating him well and speaking everyday.

This. I don't get where this "Wheatfall is our missing piece" idea came from. But he's not making this offense that much better. One massive difference in his play this year, compared to last is a supporting WR who demands attention from the defence. Wheatfall comes here...we still don't have that. We also don't have a QB who can hit a WR in stride past 30yrds. Wheatfall would be an upgrade over Cobb....but that's not saying much. NEED wheatfall? no. We just need someone who can play WR at this level.

If Allen becomes available soon, does he get into the line up at all? Haven't heard much about him since his injury, so hopefully he's still in the teams plans.

Keep in mind this is a 2 way street. For all we know, KW put an offer out already and Geno said thanks, but no thanks. It's a pet peeve of mine when people talk about signing players like the players automatically say yes to offers that are presented to them...

The problem with Collaros is his belief that his strength is still his deep ball. It isnt. And hasnt been for about 4 years. He just refuses to change and the coaching staff seem to think all his under thrown balls are fine.

Smith is the real deal. Kid is ways making plays and has lightning quick reactions. Glad hes getting more and more involved.

They did. There was actually an issue with the game clock that collaros spotted but refs didnt. After the 2nd kneel down, the clock didnt start until about 5 seconds after the ref whistled it in. Collaros mentioned it to the refs, but they didnt do anything about it. Ya collaros threw it about 8 yards short....buuut....Cobbs attempt to catch it was horrible.

Last night actually did give me some optimism. 1st, the O was fairly balanced. The use of Brady between running and passing was the best we've seen in a couple years imo. Collaros, finally started taking what the defense was giving them....i get that he wants to go deep more than check down....but whether he likes it or not, hes not that guy anymore. That pass to Cobb should have been an easy 6. Instead it was horribly under thrown. The only thing worse than the throw, was the "attempt" to catch it. Singer cant be inserted fast enough. The defense, still has huge issues. Particularly in the secondary. Still way too many screwed up assignments. The Dline played well but when recs are given a 10-15 yrd cushion, its an easy pitch and catch. Like Booch said, how tf are Kelly and ball our best options???

It's not often you see any team dress more than 6 OL. That's not unusual at all.
