I really hope this isn't true come game time. Makes no sense at all.
-
True enough, but successful offences use many players. But it's true, those guys will get the majority of work.

To be fair Adams has been open. Just not getting the ball. I don't understand why. In fact on one play last week he was wide open down the middle of the field. We got a first down anyway, so it did't hurt us too bad, but he was scoring if he got the ball there. I think Willy said after the game too, that he needs to get Adams more involved. That's easy to answer (though you may not like it). Drew Willy (specifically) and CFL QB's in general. That's the way the game is played today. They have their 'favourites' and they also have their 'plays' they are comfortable with. I said it many times last year when I was screaming for Willy to be benched - he has tunnel vision and doesn't see the field well. But there a ton of CFL QBs you can paint with that brush. I remember Brock and Clements both being masters of 'spreading' the ball around. Brock had his fav's too for sure but usually for the deep ball. Anything short to middle he was able to find the open guy. Clements was brilliant at it. Willy is the new generation. They're told the play and are afraid to improvise. You watch him against the Stamps, watch how he um, ahem, 'surveys' the field. He's usually zoned in to one guy (maybe two) that's it. And with his happy feet he's too uncomfortable to scan anything more than that. Oh well.................... Can't really disagree with this too much considering the way the Offence has looked this year. Willy certainly likes Moore and Denmark. Kholert too. Nothing wrong with it, but we need to spread the ball around to be successful long term this season.

What was the LB name that came in late last year and played really well for us. But asked to be released to go play for the cowboys? -
I don't like the look of this tale already.....

He's Canadian... so because he's not Henoc, he must not be any good... but I agree that he would be better served as a rotational player... he hasn't been great this year, but I also don't think he's been particularly terrible either... I agree. I'm not sure he's doing anything to be spat on for, but he certainly isn't doing anything to be praised either. He needs to be a back up. Much like Labbe, he's a solid player but not a starter. Hopefully we can bring someone in who can get the job done.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy

The players that looked the most dangerous was AD and the running backs . Nichols is meh...the others looked like they could do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. -
Yeah to be fair, the D was having success during all of TC. How many people said they were looking like the strength of this team? Practice is practice....lets see what happens when the lights are on. Saying that, I'm glad they are at least attempting to figure it out.

I honestly can't believe people are still arguing against the doctors. lol. First, like I said earlier....the CFL is going through a law suit for this very thing. Bet your ass they are covering their own ass as closely as possible when it comes to concussions. Second, you're just arguing for the sake of it now. He's starting. End of story. -
How does everybody feel about this "coverage"

I could appreciate this if their columns also weren't complete ****. But that might be more my opinion than anything. -
Youre likely barking up the wrong tree. Glenn's career is what it is. Puts up ok-to great numbers. No one is saying otherwise, he plays well, throws horribly timed picks and literally every team in the cfl including a brand new team that went With an older qb sees him as a back-up. A good back up. But a backup....there's a reason for that. Say what you want about all his nice stats but the guy doesn't do it when it counts. And you can compare him to other players in other positions but the fact remains the qb has the ball way more than anyone else and they get the blunt of the blame whether deserved or not. and when the game is on the line, I'd rather have 8 other qbs behind centre then Glenn. And it seems so would every single team in the cfl.

I'm 100% fine with discussing losses. What pisses me off, is the constant fire everyone threads or the insulting titles that pop up. Those just make the poster look immature and I instantly put a * next to everything they say. Trashing a team (even your team) can be done without looking like an A-hole. I've been on the dump MB wagon for the last 2 years. But when he game plans well, I mention it. When he doesn't I secretly hope that he gets tossed, but I understand thats just not the way it works at this time of year. So I point out what I thought was wrong and move on. -
Also the rec. There were a few plays, one were Willy got pissed at JFG cause he didn't react in time to a pass....may have been the interception actually. Rec need to know when to run an option route and when to look for a ball. The greatest ever was very good at that! This means that it's not all Bellefeuille's fault. Players are being taught what to do and how to recognize blitz's but they're still having trouble recognizing and adjusting pre-snap. Absolutely. As much as I rag on MB, and honestly don't think he'll improve. The players didn't help anything last week.

While I'm not against sitting him for a week. If he was concussed at all or still had symptoms he would not be practising, let alone cleared to play this early in the week. -
That's just the kind of comment that led to the demise (or near demise) of OB.com. Too many ppl who knew too much who took their ball to a "more knowledgeable" forum. Don't think so. I know why I gave up on "our bombers", and it had nothing to do with the people that were thinking they were more knowledgeable. I don't want to see a bunch of threads about "O'Stubborn" and some of the other silly stuff that proliferated in the last few days. And I'm not "knowledgeable" I have no problem accepting that there are people who know a lot more about football than I do. Fortunately there are quite a few of them posting at this site. I appreciate reading the opinions of people that know something about what they're discussing. How anyone here can know whether or not Mike O'Shea is stubborn is beyond me. Well said! I don't mind new posters at all. But when you start a thread and it's very title is essentially an insult to the HC of the team whose forum you're on. Well I wouldn't expect a lot of positive replies. Also it's friggin weak 2.

Glenn was NOT why they lost. He was absolutely outstanding yesterday having the best performance of any QB so far this season with almost 500 yards. Also, that interception was on Taj Smith. Instead of actually running towards the ball, he basically stood there. One of the main reason we lost was defence. Couldn't make a tackle to save their lives and allowed too many big plays. Considering just how close the game was, less big plays may have given us the win. Glenn will be a great leader for us going forward. If we don't finish well this year, it will be because of defence, not quarterbacking, and this would have been a problem even if Durant hadn't gotten injured. You're barking up the wrong tree with that stuff about Glenn. That story seems to follow him around. Great stats, horribly timed pick 6, but never his fault for the loss. And while that may be true, it's his MO. Good luck though.

MB......no screens....5 yard outs to wide side with back up....playing against a heavy blitzing team.....I chalk this Offensive game up to horrible planning. It's actually unbelievable to me how bad it was. Not only the fact that the screens weren't there like everyother play but that the inside recievers weren't (apparently anyway) taught to look early for a ball when the blitz was coming from there side. Watching this offence was like watching a train wreck...
