I'm really surprised by this honestly. Thought he might try FA. Solid signing for sure.

If he's going to be selected it would be under the SAM position. Which is technically a linebacker spot. -
that's just it. A tell was his response about not having any QBs. First he said how it's based off the teams current roster and how the Bombers don't have any QB's under contract. But they technically do. The bombers have 4 qbs under contract right now...and they will still have 1 come Free agency. This was 100% strictly to rile people up/share an opinion no one asked for/try to make the crider fans feel better about their pathetic season. People are getting way too upset about it.

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.

Depends on how he recovers. Throwing shoulder injury....he could legitimately be done. Assuming he heals up just fine, then yeah he's got lots of game left. -
By that time they will almost have as many GC wins as the Bombers do now.
-
He had his moments of both. At times he couldn't be beat. Other times he couldn't stop anything. He was often a big play either way. When he recently posted on Instagram congratulating the Bombers on winning the Grey Cup, he mentioned something about being a bit sour with the Bombers...so not sure his bomber career ended on the greatest of terms or not. He certainly implied there was some kind of issue. Now whether that was shared between both parties...who knows...but I think there was more to him leaving then just the money.

I prefer this memory;

Something that always seemed odd to me about his hiring, was that, that type of job is almost "dream status"(doing the PBP for the bombers would be a dream come true for me)..the person who gets it should want to be there for a long ass time and the organization should want a lifer as well. I cant imagine DT as a life long Rider PBP guy considering how his on screen career was going. But who knows maybe hes given up.
-
When I heard they had been practicing indoors, I thought that was really odd and just a bad idea overall. You'd think they'd want to get used to the elements as there was no escaping them.

I hope both start off gangbusters and go 6-0. Only to **** the bed the rest of the year.

I wandered over to criderville a few days ago. It was fantastic. I personally loved their take on Willie J winning the MODP and how he didn't deserve it because he only had 24 tackles. Apparently, if he couldn't beat the Olineman he was playing he would forget about staying in position and just try to play the pass. lol. The total lack of football knowledge on almost any level is hilarious to say the least....yes there little rider I'm sure he just gave up and decided to do his own thing on any given play...it definitely wasn't part of the defensive scheme to have him drop into coverage occasionally. Absolutely not. On top of that he was so bad at tackling that teams just didn't run the ball, because they felt bad for him. Had nothing at all to do with the fact he was part of one of the best run defenses in CFL history. It'd be sad if it wasn't so funny.

Oh I know. I even agree with the original premise that Streveler seems to give the team a boost and some pep in their step. But to ask for an example of how someone is a leader to a team none of us are on is borderline trolling at best.

Give us examples of Streveler being a leader. Answer: you cant. No fan is able too with either guy, cause (shocking!!) None of us are in the ******* huddle. Stop being uber skunk its annoying.

Hes not trying out for this year and if it's not a serious injury (which I'm assuming its not) I dont see that being much of an issue. Otherwise why invite him at all? I can see someone taking a shot with him. Just my gut feeling that he will be down there for a bit anyway. Also got feeling that the bombers sign Collaros and not Nichols.

We can only speculate on the game plans when Streveler was starting. But it was noticeable and kinda odd that they rarely moved the pocket for him. It looked like Lapo just continued with the Nichols lead offence after that initial Edmonton game. I agree with the posters who are saying his passing game is under-appreciated. He can throw some darts into tight spaces, and his deep ball has connected a few times right on the money. Can it improve? Of course, but he's far from being a run only QB. I'd like to see him behind a vet again for another season, but getting some decent reps each game that are more then just run or had off to Harris. Move the pocket for him, getting him rolling out with options to throw. Of course he does need to get more comfortable in the pocket as well, but that will come with time (ideally). In terms of QB for next year. I'm good with either Nichols/Strev or Collaros/Strev. Do not want to see Arbuckle/Masoli/MBT here though. Just too many uncertainties with all 3 for me. Saying that, I have a feeling Strev will find a spot on an NFL squad. Which isn't horrible as I am really interested in seeing what Mcguire can do if he gets more game time.

Good for him. Solid career. And this screws the riders....not by much, but enough to still like it.

Depends on if Streveler was given a choice on the run plays. He faked every handoff to Harris, was that by design or choice? Design is on Lapo, choice is on Streveler.

Kinda off topic. But just watched the Top 10 defensive plays of the year on CFL.ca Bombers are featured in 5 of them! https://www.cfl.ca/2019/12/13/top-10-defensive-plays-of-2019/

Why? They always seem to have legit stories -
"Stepping" likely isnt the word I would use....it's probably more along the lines of "pushed".
