  1. What other costs? And how does having one less qb on the game day roster save money? They still dressed a player and that player still got paid. Which is what this "rule" was about. It wasn't about spending less, just about spending less on QBs.
  2. How did it cut costs? And it wasn't Ambrosie it was the CFLPA. If I remember correctly it was brought in to help spread the wealth instead of tying up salary on 3 qbs. I'm not advocating for it. But blaming it on Ambrosie doesn't make sense.
  3. I did.....just take my word for it!
  4. I joined the "official" Bomber forum on their website back in 09 when I was working weekend shifts and needed something to kill time. Posted a few times on OB, but I preferred the layout of the bomber forum. That changed when I got a smart phone....that website is still a pain to navigate via phone. Came on here and haven't really been back. Gotten into some decent arguments and conversations. Learned a lot about the game and had someone to talk to about the game while I watched with my infant children. Its been a ride hasn't it?!?! I Thought about canceling season tickets (2014) but very glad I held on. I've never wanted a season to NOT end as much as this one. What a team!! What a forum!!! Lol
  5. Everyone going tonight. Stay safe, 4th wave is very much here, getting multiple emails from child's school about positive cases.
  6. I thought this too, but he is a citizen so he will be allowed back in.
  7. We have Borsa in the batters box ready to go. So we will still have depth there.
  8. Speaking of changes. This may have been Hamiltons last shot with this crew. I'm not sure what they're going to look like next year but they have some serious change coming. I do feel for that fan base, but also love that their "stars" didn't get it done.
  9. I remember when the design was first reported. I was confused at why they would build a stadium straight out of the 1950's. I believe $$$ was a huge factor (obviously) but still to hear about it today....they'll be lucky to get 20 yrs out of it.
  10. God damn it. I really don't want this year to be over!!
  11. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=495298591230499 https://www.cfl.ca/2017/10/15/matt-nichols-touchdown/ https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/07/05/recap-winnipeg-29-ottawa-14/ (12 second in) Here are just a couple throws that prove he could in fact hit the wr deep in stride. That's the last I'll say about this.
  12. I think Harris stays for 1 more year to get to 10K. But it wouldn't surprise me if he hangs them up either. I figured Bryant would be the most likely to say goodbye. But his interview in the locker room, he was talking about how he wants to keep everyone together to go after a 3 peat....so that gives me hope. I also think Jeffcoat stays. I can see us losing Lawler(NFL) for a few months anyway. Nichols/Alford and maybe Richardson(CFL)? Like always it's going to be an interesting off season.
  13. I don't want to derail this thread. But this statement is flat out false. See WPG vs OTT 2019 in Ott for just one example. Early 2019 Nichols led the league in deep ball completions. His arm strength was not a problem until his most recent injury.
  14. I've found it odd that for years now, special teams hasn't really evolved at all. It's starting to happen with punting nit just for distance and height. But it seems like there is a lot more that could be done to that side of the game.
  15. I'm convinced Naylor very much wants to be a part of the xfl. And I dont mean that in bad way. But he always pushes every and any piece of info about the CFL/XFL connection. Regardless of how meaningless it is.
  16. I honestly don't know. But the article quotes no one And just complains about the possibility of the change. 3down trying to make a story out of nothing imo
  17. I feel like when Randy said everything would be up for review when it came to the rules. Someone piped up and said "even the 3 downs compared to 4?' And Randy said "everything will be up for review".....and then they wrote that article.
  18. Have you never been to a football game? It's honestly surprising how many times you say things that make you seem like you've never watched football before. He very well could have been watching the field of play....in your infinite wisdom have you forgotten how many footballs are used throughout a game? Or how big a field is...especially when sitting at field level? And again no one thinks the 17yr old was the target...? Wtf are you talking about? If Gainey was targeting someone it would have been the guys that heckle players every game behind the visitors bench. Gainey just missed.
  19. That article is 100% click bait. End of story.
  20. That's too bad. Gotta sting going through the entire season and being held out for something like that. Just gut wrenching.
  21. There is no longer any debate about it. Stanley Bryant is the Greatest Offensive Lineman the CFL has ever seen.
  22. Baseball/hockey.....sure....I can understand where you're coming from. At a football game..? That's a bit of a stretch.
  23. I know it sucks that the prairie teams will be floating the league basically, but keep in mind that Rogers/Bell etc are very large corporate entities with very little "human" decision making capabilities. Single owners like the Braleys of the world can understand why their team took a hit year and year and even be ok with it. Companies with stock holders DO NOT. They see only 1 thing and that's the amount of $$ they made or lost. End of discussion. No if ands or buts. And if a section of said company is only losing money year after year after year, they will let it die or sell it off. The league can't afford to lose a team right now. So what it comes down to, is making sure those companies don't see red after Q4 when it comes to the CFL.
  24. Typical "LoOk iT uP" from @letternumbers
