  1. I kinda agree with you on this...but for arguments sake...Ellingson isn't starting his career, he also wasn't being presented as the future superstar for not only the franchise but the league and without Ellingson the team isn't significantly worse like it would be if the Leos lost Rourke 1 game before the playoffs. Also add in the very real possibility for Rourke to make life changing money if the NFL comes calling...which would end if he gets hurt again. Obviously that window has closed on Ellingson.
  2. Correct, I disagree with the "big" drop off aspect of what you said.
  3. ticket sales never has and never will = butts in seats. Which is why the L'ks can say they had 20,000 people there.
  4. It's a down grade on paper. But the results tell a different story. Mcrae didn't light it up, but I'd argue Schoen likely wouldn't have the yardage he has if Ellingson played the whole year. There are only so many plays to be made.
  5. As much as I like the point you're making. This just isn't true. During the Reinbold days, crowds were often so small I was all alone in a upper deck section with my dad. We'd basically just go sit where ever we wanted up there. And once I was old enough he let me go down to the lower sections alone and I'd sit right behind the bench. We've had plenty of years with real bad attendance.
  6. No, if you watch the recent mini video of Wolly and Schoen talking about their relationship. Schoen says that once Ellingson went down he took over his role. McRae took Schoens spot.
  7. I'm guessing he doesn't know that Harris has been border line useless since his return....
  8. A big dropoff? You do know that Schoen took over his role right?
  9. I think we see the majority of starters play for the 1st half.
  10. tackle stats are flawed. Usually it means your Defence is on the field a lot and that usually isn't a good sign. That's not always the case, but it's not surprising to see teams that have bad offences also having the league leader in tackles on their D.
  11. I'm going to be there and I want it at least as cold as last year!
  12. Anyone else notice how many BC players where wearing long sleeves and face masks last night? I don't know how cold it was, but I can't find anything saying it was below zero.
  13. Evans beat the brakes off a Bomber defense. Cody has never come close to doing that. On top of that Hamilton has won 2 of their last 3. Dane has shown that he gets better once he's able to get over the adversity...Cody...well...we all know how that's going.
  14. Dane threw a TD pass against us. End of story. lol For real though, Fajardo is more consistently bad than Dane sure. Overall Dane has a far better skill set than Fajardo and it's honestly not even close. The only thing they're close in skill wise, is that neither seem to be able to handly much adversity or any at all...but even then, Dane has shown improvements there.
  15. Agreed. Dane isn't having a good season, but he's head and shoulders above Fajardo.
  16. Didn't you see? BC beat the bombers last week. They're now the best team in the league and the Bombers had better be worried!
  17. His season is over and that's basically all he has shown he's capable of caring about
  18. Fair enough, I interpreted that as going to see what's out there/get some leverage if needed...not so much, leaving and then changing his mind.
  19. I'm assuming you mean Jeffcoat, and from what I remember he was never really considering leaving town.

Lol I would actually love to be a sub as long as it wasn't for my own kids. They better be learning!! Lol. For real though I used to run an after school program and miss it from time to time.
  21. I know the play, because I remember thinking Grant may wait and let the ball roll out of bounds....but he ultimately didn't. Think it was closer to the end of the game.
  22. I dont even think Rourke is a head of schedule. He wasn't doing anything crazy in that one video. He looked like he was be deliberate in his movements....as far as I'm concerned, this is a ploy to make defenses study up a bit more on a distraction just in case and an attempt to get some media attention/ticket sales.
  23. Lots of changes, but not as many as I was expecting honestly.
  24. Rourke was fantastic for the time he played. I think a lot of people, in the media especially, forget where he was playing most of those games though. In a nice, comfy, climate controlled dome. Fans behind him. No wind. No rain. etc. I was really waiting to see how he would do in the 2nd half of the season when he was playing away more than home and certainly not in a dome. We'll have to wait till next year to find out I guess, but I suspect his performance would have taken a bit of a hit once game #12/13/14 rolled around.
  25. opposing kickers eh? I guess he forgot about July 4th You do realize this is a thread about other teams in the cfl?
