When there is pressure in the pocket, some QB are quick to pull down and scramble around. Others move around just enough, while maintaining the concentration level, to keep looking down the field. The latter, tend to have longer careers in this league. Willy certainly has the look of a 10 yr guy.

This kid is a diamond in the rough.....looks better, in terms of patterns, catching and blocking....every time I see him.

Still remember Hefney on the post gamer, after Burke's debut - 56-0 against the Riders....stating that the overall effort "was fine" and that he was satisfied with his play. Doug and Mitch were literally speechless for a moment, as was I.

Plenty of teams pay lip service to the concept "next man up"....but, this team just does it, week in, week out.

What bothered me.... beyond all the selfishness, loud-mouthing, hotdogging, showboating, and even dissing of the fans, the last number of years ....was that this stuff was even tolerated, time after time... and that excuses were always made, internally and externally for these people - instead of just dealing with them. Part of a larger culture of excusemeistering, that permeated the entire organization. Pleasantly surprised how quick that particular stench, has dissipated......

At least its not on the weekend- that would make it Saturday Night LeFevour. Until he runs into the Dirty Dozen....

The important thing..... is that this team is changing the way.... it thinks

Greaves is the key guy....and best run blocker. Suppose the experts will be predicting a Bomber loss to the new contender from the East. Cats are quite beatable, if they make this QB stand in the pocket.

What about the last 2 games of the season? .500 Talk about traditionalist.....

It seem that the "grass roots" approach has filtered down.... from the new management, through the coach, to the players. Fits the traditions of this league, very well...

Picked the Blue to go 8-8, based on perceived improvement at Coaching/QB. For years, I hammered about the need for direction, leadership, and creating a sense of purpose...so many times, I am sure that most of you were somewhat sick of it. Impossible to measure the impact.... when a leader emerges, and gets the attention, respect, and total buy-in from the players. Think we have seen some of that "maximizing" effect, so far this year.....on a team that still has holes....on paper.

O'Shea talks to you? Who are you his wife? Funny. I asked him on the CJOB show. How did they manage to squeeze you in between commercials???? He pretended to pitch one.....
