  1. Yup, watching the overload formations on D....which open up tons of room for the slants, hooks and drags.....drove me crazy. Worse....we totally sell out on certain areas of the field and leave some DB's in a ton of ISO.....with the idea of getting to the QB, as the tradeoff. Except we don't get to the QB, in time, anymore...... Need a change here, for next year.....
  2. Really needed a quick start....in this one..... ...instead...yup, 2 and outs, Cotton then fumbles right after Esks TD....10-0 0 first downs in first quarter ...several Esks drives kept alive by Bomber penalties.... Down 14-0....West forces fumble.... But Willy stripped, ball loose, Kolhert whiffs on tackle....TD 10-14 point swing was the tipping point...... 21-0 and the Bombers lost altitude pretty fast... from that point Pressure D package....just not getting the pressure..... ...leaving Bombers DB's high and dry ....for PI calls.... Bomber front 7 pushed around on couple of goal line plays.... Without the Stod....kick return game is back to useless.... Dumb major penalties still with us.... Different running back.....but unfortunately, the same ole OL.... No moving pocket, no run game, turnovers...... ....Willy getting killed, yet again..... ...and looking un confident, and beaten down..... 27 yards by O....37- 0 at the half... ...as "must win game "...turned into a "no show up game" Lirim H.....Bomber special team and offensive star, today.... ....scored all our points...many good punts.... Watson missing blocks, looks like he is eternally hurt.... Bombers actually out score Esks in 2nd half... ...but Bomber goose was already well cooked..... Turkey cooking slowly....clock moving even more slowly... Our OC/DC got worked...again.... Brohm got some extended play time....whole half of garbage time.. Some good throws, some bad, some hits taken, couple turnovers.. Final play: Brohm serves up Romby, on platter....for huge hit ....total lack of execution and ineptitude from start to finish..... MOS lineup changes.....ended up looked like mere deck chair shuffling.... 6 straight losses, last 2 of expansion team quality...... 2 straight games curled up in the fetal position..... Time to review DOD's ole pregame Bomber keys to victory: Fast start..... 0 points, 2 first downs at halftime Protect the QB.....uh, nah Establish the run.....nope Rush on Reilly......huh, what? Avoid penalties.....15 taken Avoid turnovers......yeah, sure MOS finally lost that toothpaste grin..... ..which comes as some form of relief..... ...as many Bomber fans have finally lost hope... Won't watch the Walking Dead, tonight..... ...just seen enough for today....
  3. Is he referring to himself or his OC/DC?
  4. The consensus on Riderfans....is that this a sage move......
  5. Our D collapsing like a cheap paper bag, certainly made that call look worse......
  6. The call aside....bottom line.... is we just cannot perform the most basic and necessary fundamentals of the game.......BLOCKING and TACKLING Hard to beat anyone at FOOTBALL without those......
  7. How are Moore's tackling skills?
  8. Key game.... Bombers need a good start..... Nope.... A. Kelly bounces pass like a seal...for a RB 6... Bombers needed a strong end to the half..... Nope....Grigsby drops TD pass. We throw a bomb on 3rd and 5.....turnover Redblacks shred our D for a TD to end the half.... Redzone execution is not a Bomber specialty Breaking tackles is not a Grigsby specialty.... Clarence Denmark is a competent player.... ....but some question marks around the rest of the receivers... RB Williams looks like a rising star..... ....helped by the Bombers horrible minor league tacking..,... Short yard situations + shoddy tackling = killer gains.... T. Sherman had just an atrocious night in space......terrible.... Leggett had a 114 missed FG touchdown..... ...but evened out the scale with multiple missed tackles on D..... Ottawa simply ate up them unbalanced D formations..... ...which make it sometimes impossible to stop the run.... ...or in this case...another 188.... Meanwhile, Bomber OL did their pylon thing again.... January and Greaves really struggling out there..... Willy really didn't play very well.... ...but hard to...when NOTHING is going on around him.... Another 5 sacks and multiple hits on Drew.... Another plethora of penalties...... Kuale managed to snag 3 of them, before injury... If the bench does not await, then I just don't know... Under News at 11....Watson gets injured..left game Our D had it all covered....no pressure, no tackling..... Tonight....we looked like the expansion team, out there...... Need to start looking at guys at multiple positions..... Need to take a hard look at our OC and DC, moving forward..... Need to start benching guys for taking penalties/ poor play... Need to start up my meds, again.....
  9. C'mon Walters...snap yer fingers......
  10. Kuale needs to find a cubicle, somewhere. If this guy is supposedly one of our "leaders', then we in trouble....
  11. Need more options,,,,,,
  12. We will have to top any Rider offers......
  13. I agree for the most part but i think numbers 1. and 3. go hand in hand. Thats where most your depth guys are used, special teams. lack of depth means special teams ain't so good. That is why depth was #1
  14. Progress? Found a QB who can throw the ball, is tough, and has big upside Found a coach, that the team busts their ass for, right to the end, no matter what the situation May have ended the revolving door at kick returner Got rid of some of the "me me attitude" that has held us up, the last number of years Found our all round CDN kicker, going forward Plugged the gaping hole at Safety, moving forward Overall, far better play in secondary That said, there were (and still are) limitations that pretty well put a ceiling, on how much progress, we were gong to make. 1. Depth - this was not exactly a military secret - if we ran into injuries, things were going to get iffy - we miss Ian Wild, big time and Moore and Anderson were taking up key roles while healthy, and Patty N, was supposed to take on another. The ongoing Watson/Sears thing didn't help. The long snapping is killing us on a weekly basis. 2. OL - we play 3 Yanks on the line, yet are terribly inconsistent, run game is off/on,Willy is taking a serious pounding and January is really slowing down. Single biggest organization fail.... is the inability to find some import guys, among the gazillion in the US, until the Domestic larder is restocked. 3. Under the unexpected - the Special teams - costing us points, field position and momentum, with a myriad of mistakes, on a weekly basis. Either MOS has to take a more direct hand on this, or Tracy needs to depart....
  15. One guy is 2nd year in league......other guy, 13 years in league See the difference?
  16. Rider D-line and run game, not looking that great against non-Bomber teams
  17. wouldn't kill me, to be trying some new import OL guys......
  18. He is also invulnerable to penalties......
  19.   You beat me to it. The block to the back was bad enough, but the roughing the kicker non call defies belief. If the Riders win this game close I hope they have the decency to not pound their chests too much. Don't worry. They're not going to win.  Don't worry, they are going to pound their chests....
  20. So who was the rookie QB, in the OT?
  21. Nice ball awareness, Burris...
  22. Bad snap/hold
  23. Hank
  24. You know what happens when you coach not to lose.....
  25. Meatball PI call......
