Having cruised around the net, practally since it was invented....can assure you that the Republican party (to say nothing of the Alt-right) is chock full of misogynist cretins.
A lot of these guys (Including a fair number of Tea Party/Freedom Caucus boyos) would like to roll back the clock to the mid 1950's.....when women (to say nothing of Blacks, Hispanics, Gays etc.) simply knew their place.

Comparing the Democrats (who are far from perfect in this area) to these guys.....is total fake equivalency

I read lots too. Lots of extremist fruit cakes out there. Feel the same way when i read bolshevick, anarchist Atifa and Occupy types defend murder, arson, assault , anti Christian bigotry and say Trump sleeps with his daughters, various and sundry sexual perversions.

    It's a crazy world online.

She may have run a horrible campaign, but she had arguably the most substance of any candidate. She would have been my top choice not because I'm woke or any of that nonsense but because she truly was the smartest one of the bunch with the most well reasoned and researched positions.

But she didn't get the support and is out of the race because Bernie inspires the progressive side more and Biden is the status quo choice.

Could have gotten traction. Strategy of going full woke identity politics alienated people she needed the most vs Bernie.

So offer proof that gabbard is being discriminated based on gender... the dnc wants Biden as it's candidate just as it did Hillary. It's not sexism, it's just wanting the person who is in with the right circles.

    Exactly. The right person.

So no progressive should cry "sexism" when a progressive woman candidate is rejected without examining why she actually lost.

Warren's , like Hillary s,  accusation of sexism goes unchallenged and promoted by the same people who demand "we need more women voices in politics" yet there's crickets over Gabbard...

Who is also a woman of colour which doubles their hypocrisy.

What metrics are you using to come to this conclusion?

Umpteen media endorsements and favourable coverage like NYT. Darling of the left twitter class

Real world results nowhere close to the hype. Huge disconnect.

I don't believe that is what he trying to say. I think he trying to point out the imagined hypocrisy that the Democratic party should cry sexism in Tulsi' s case because they did the same for Warren....  furthermore showcased by dropping Tulsi from the debate, supposedly changing the rules to make that happen- because she has a ******.  not taking into account her failed Candidacy, unpopular platform

Cherrypicking points to create hypocrisy .

Warren's campaign was just as big a flop as anyone's.

Fuelled by media hype who wanted to look woke. Too much baggage and ran a horrible campaign. Outside of the media bubble she was nothing .

There’s no difference between warren or tulsi right. Lol

We are told there is no distinction. Keeping women out power, jobs etc is sexism and wrong

Blatant hypocrisy by Democrats. Blatant hypocrisy by by Warren and other female Dems by not even giving her token support.

So, women better just turn to the bastion of feminist thought - the Republican party, if they know what is good for them.

Plenty of women in power among Republicans . Plenty of women in general who consider themselves conservative or traditional.

Yet they don't get the same moral support from feminists because they don't tout the usual leftist garbage.

Gabbard is a down the line leftist anyway except she's a maverick on foreign policy. Donor class and deep state fear her voice in a debate.

Deep state helps getting people into power and cushy jobs in DC.

Dems want that power and more than happy to throw any one overboard man or woman to get it.

I don't think you know what sexism is...

Discrimination and bias based on gender.  Dems and progressives say society needs more women in power.

When women lose elections "sexism" is among the top causes claimed by the Left.

Party that supposedly champions women excludes a woman on arbitrary rules that could be easily bent and no one would care.

Democrats as feminist progressives are complete frauds.

    Am I getting warm ?

But is the writer wrong in his description of trump? Seems to nail it pretty much on the nose.

Nothing uniquely British in mocking Trumps foibles real or imagined. Can get that from any lefty commentator

  10. Rubbish. As someone of immediate UK extraction I can tell you the only thing they expect from Americans is to be Americans,  good with the bad, and Trump fits the bill perfectly.

When the writer says "we" he means leftists not British.

I'm just going to periodically drop this in threads from time to time to remind everyone.

If trolling is pointing out the corruption of the people you think are the "good guys". They are just as as power hungry and evil as the people you condemn and think it's virtuous.

Of course, (cruising round the web) that simply makes him a "swamp thing"

Should be noted. Bush-ies and the rest of those neo con regimes hate Trump. All signed the Never Trump Manifesto.

  13. Great journalizing, CBC

. Now do the part where  the slam dunk conspiracy evidence of the Trump Tower meeting was proven bogus by an independent witness yet Mueller team never corrected the media which got the story from an FBI leak. Mueller then used that fake evidence to get more search warrants.

Ever seen that in all your years in DC ?

I understand the Democrats were also the pro-slavery party up until about 1960.

ps. stop dodging the questions about illegal votes. do you believe that still?  if not, what changed your mind?

    And some guy named Schumer.

Please explain how it is potentially damaging to recognize that gender isn't as black and white as boy or girl.

    What harm comes from it?

Because so much it is a mental state and not "science".   A person can decide later it was a mistake but he is either chemically castrated , biomchemsitry altered or permanently disfigured by surgery.

Puberty blockers on children and pre teens is criminal , imo, and in general the epitome of "anti-science".

yup. it's typical GOPness, stoking up fear of a harmless minority to juice the base.

In the 2000s it was "OMG the homosexuals are going to make gay marriage mandatory!"  That was the way GWB got reelected, many states had "Defense of Marriage" stuff on the ballot to energize the phobe vote. They're running the exact same playbook today but it's the icky ***** trans nonbinary millennials that are the big problem.

Defense of Marriage Act was also at the federal level. People with names like Clinton, Biden signed off on it.

The next time those three run for President, Ill take it under advisement.  You seem to support that conduct right now.  Why is it okay with you?  Do you share those beliefs?

Or you can just read up. The relationship of private conduct and effective leadership is rarely clear cut. All three of those degenerates had, to varying degrees, successful presidencies.

  18. 2 minutes ago, The Unknown Poster said:

You can justify (and minimize) it all you want but it doesnt change who he is...or his supporters are.

And you can't  say horrible personal conduct matters for a president but also doesn't matter too.

  19. 16 minutes ago, The Unknown Poster said:

Ill settle for a President who isnt a serial sexual abuser, moron, and racist.  Your standards are a lot lower as is the norm with the bulk of his supporters who share much of those moral shortcomings.  A tree stump would be better than Trump.  Its not even a debate.

Man, wait till you hear about JFK, LBJ, Clinton..

You expect a lot of loony left talk from Biden? What about Donald's mental state?
Suspect that Dems will be quite motivated (getting rid of Trump) as well as the possibility of firing up the ole Obama coalition, (which Hillary put paid to) and most importantly the rapidly changing (demographics) suburbia ares.

    Of course time will tell.....

An explanation for when he said he would ban all fracking and gut other fossil fuel industries is bound to come up.

He either has to reverse himself and alienate part of the progressive base and lose some progressive cred  or sacrifice the votes of people who work in those industries which happen to be swing states.

    Ditto on guns.

  21. 6 minutes ago, do or die said:

Bottom line.  Biden simply gives the Dems a better chance of holding the House and taking the Senate.

The disappointment expressed today, from Trump and Republicans all down the line, about Super Tuesday results.....pretty well tells you..... all you need to know.....

The idea of a long campaign with Biden's mental health state is a welcome prospect to them, Biden will motivate Dems and Dems only. To win Biden has to get undecideds . Jury is waaaay out on that. Loony left talk won't do that.
