  1. Does Millington and Bastien qualifies as non-counters as well ?
  2. That's just a silly game to play. If we played that game 2 months ago, why sign Stanley Bryant, cause he might get hurt. Go with the smart money, start Taormina and save 80 grand. What a silly answer. Bryant is a known upgrade over January and we sorely needed O line upgrades. Well worth the money especially over a guy who shouldn't be starting in the first place. Willy's a sophomore starter who was great for the first 5 games then looked like a rookie for the rest of the season. If he was one of the top 2 QB's in the league, we'd not be having this discussion. BTW: The point I was trying to make, which went over your head, is that we have a lot more on the line if we give Willy his 150K raise, 100K of it as a signing bonus than we do if we simply wait and let him earn his raise. You're right there's hardly any risk involved in allowing him to play out the last year of his contract and test free agency while we also have his heir apparent (to some) hoping to head to the NFL next offseason. Worse comes to worse, Bombers lose Willy to 2016 free-agency. Marve wouldn't commit here and wanting to exhaust his NFL options. Brohm might take the same route. And we end up with Portish.
  3. Is this Sam Canadian ? https://twitter.com/chatfootball/status/593495279061606400/photo/1
  4. Man, if I only have the same kind of knowledge, I probably be working as a scout now and currently touring North America and attend every training camp that I can. Any intel, that the Bombers are actually talking to him/his agent?
  5. Considering Hardrick played almost half of the season, he might be ahead of the learning curve compared to Sanders, Mims and Lewis. Plus he has no history of major injuries.
  6. Lion's cut OL Jermarcus Hardrick. 6.07 320. Any intel on this guy? Is he better than any of our import OL prospects right now? EDIT: Based on the Lion's depth chart from last year... ... He started as LT for 2 games starting Sept 13 (when Andre Ramsey is out) ... Then when Ramsey was back, he was moved to LG and he played there for the rest of the season. Could he be better than Tyler ?
  7. Keep your willy or cut your willy ? I think there's only 1 good answer to that.
  8. I guess you're right.
  9. Oh dang. We need that albino zebra every game to ensure the calls will favor us.
  10. Honestly, I favor Lawless' argument here.
  11. It's been well known that the Bombers are starting 2 imports at tackle. That's why they are targeting both Bryant and Rogers during the FA intending to start at LT and RT respectively. And even if they draft a guy that can play RT in the CFL, chances are little to none that that guy will play/start at RT right away.
  12. I wouldn't oppose to pick Mateas at #2. But does that would mean Goossen is not the heir apparent to Picard at C and he's more projected to be on the RG?
  13. With Greaves, Picard, Goossen, Neufeld, Everett an OL pick at #2 or #11 will likely wont play this season unless an injury happen. Bombers can still pick a serviceable vet OL that will come loose after TC. I think they need a Demski (or Durant) who can play (I didn't say start) right away to help with the ratio and depth at WR position.
  14. What do you mean thinner? We have 14 DL currently on the roster. DT. Turner Anderson Thomas Fraser Harlan Hickman Collins DE. Peach Booker Richardson Brown Gibson Johnson Oxendine
  15. I love the Bombers and I'm starting to love the Jets. I'm hoping CFL move the start of the regular season 1 month earlier so that our May is NHL playoff and the start of the CFL training camp and there's not much overlapping of Bombers and Jets games. CFL = June - October NHL = October - May Sounds good to me.
  16. Yes but BC has to be willing to do this deal.. Why would they? They don't want to strengthen a division rival.. Take it or leave it.
  17. I suggest, trade #2 overall for BC's #5 and #14 (or #23) and pick Demski @ #5 if he's still available otherwise pick the best OL available

  22. This is a stupid question but I'll fire anyways and everyone is welcome to answer (or rant) Would it be easier for Jordan Greaves to learn the RB position than WR position? for the following reasons... - that's the position he played the last time he played football - with his physicality/athleticism he can be helpful in blocking and/or gaining hard 1-3 yarders. - pigskin will be handed to him most of the time except on occasional short-medium pass instead of long pass if he's on the wideout I know nothing so may be people can give me light on this one. Thanks.
