  1. Averaged 68 yards on kickoffs last year. Saw him in the playoffs kicking in a 50 k wind and was doing just fine. Really improved his game in the last season.
  2. Save him for the playoffs!
  3. Hajrullaha has just as good stats if not better and can do both.
  4. I would not trade down take the guy you want. You have no clue what anyone else will do, especially this year.
  5. Got a feeling that Winston may choose baseball. Was a 15th round pick coming out of college. He has said he going to stay in school during the winter 2015 semester to play baseball. Although he most likely will be a #1 pick in the NFL there is also a chance he could be a 1st round pick in the MLB draft. If you look at during the length of a pro baseball and pro football career he would probably earn more money in baseball even if he was a middle of the road starter or reliever.
  6. I got a feeling that Walters in co don't pay too much attention to this list. They have hours of their own research to go on.
  7. Wonder what that does to Travaris Jackson in Seattle. Was he on the Bombers neg list at one point?
  8. This might be a year when all teams in league are within 3-4 wins of each other
  9. Pat White signed a contract should be in camp
  10. But they would be getting no value for one of the top picks in the expansion draft. They could haves had a excellent player in the lineup instead they have a disgruntled guy who does not want to be there.
  11. I hope Glenn does not report to Ottawa make them release him.
  12. He is an import
  13. Apparently the defensive coaches meet 8-8 every day.
  14. I can't wait to see it work. Just have to get the right guys in the right spots.
  15. If you like stories for guys from now to back in the day check out the Steve Austin podcast. Some great stuff does a real good job of just shooting the breeze with guys from all generations.
  16. Funny how the wrestlers and football players from that late 80 to 90's period have the same struggles in life.
  17. Since you have not followed the team for long and how the offseason/ end of last season progressed, it might be easy to say not to name the starter this far out. So knowing what went on its not hard to question that Willy will be the starter. Firstly was rolled into town as a prized acquisition. The plan from the start of the offseason was to bring in one of three guys (Willy, Zach Coloras or Henry Burris). Willy was the one that they got. From the moment they traded for him it was pretty much in stone he was the starter. Willy has also seen the field and had preformed well in his time in Saskatchewan. Also come highly regarded from his past college coach Danny Barrett who was a very good CFL quarterback. Also the assistant GM who is a hall of fame quarterback in league really likes the kid. Plus we have spent the last 3 years with quarterbacks starting with very limited CFL experience, four to be exact, with disastrous results. Hopefully that gives you little background why he was anointed the starter.
  18. The thing about it its not the NFL. You need time to get acquainted with the CFL game usually two to three years. Have seen two many talent guys come up here and not be able to account for the 12th guy on the field and destroy there confidence with two or three starts.
  19. We have done the rush the quarterback to the starters roll. Need to give a guy two to three years to develop. Having said that Willy has his two years its time to show that he is a starter. I don't see the kid the failing, he is ready to be the guy.
  20. People see the talk and the antics on the field but when he was with the Bengals he was one of the hardest workers on the team. At the facility long before many of his teammates and there long after.
  21. I would think there are very few if anyin the Winnipeg media that pay attention to CIS that they could say whether a player is a good pick or not.
  22. Did Tad Kornegay play the rover roll in Saskatchewan
  23. Really like he is trying to say not that he does not have a playbook but its so different that you not recognize it as a playbook. I'll say this usually the first person to do something different in football is often given the crazy. Tom Landry and Bill Walsh were look down upon when they came up with systems that changed football forever.
  24. If Austin Coleman can catch and learn the waggle could be a very dangerous guy in the slot.
  25. It still looks like my seat is high and dry
