Alrighty with the preseason done and the regular season only a few short days away its time to start the Lock of the Week contest. Rules are pretty simple. 1. Every week you must pick a player that will score a touchdown. Passing touchdowns don't count. Receiving, rushing, return (interception, fumble, punt and kick) count as a TD 2. There is no limit to the amount you can pick a player. If you want to pick Kenny Lawler every week than you can. 3. If you fail to correctly pick then you acquire a strike. If you correctly pick you do not pick up a strike. 4. If you miss making a pick for the week you will acquire a strike. 5. All picks must be made before kickoff of the team that your selected player is playing in. 6. 5 strikes and you are out of the game. 7. Last one remaining or the one with the least strikes at the end of the year wins. 8. In the highly unlikelihood that players are tied at the end of the year - the winner will be the player who has selected the most different players thought the year. Prize for winner is $50 Bomber Store Gift Card Place your picks for week one below.

Bryan Addison the 6'4 DB I am very curious about

Aussie Rules Football (AFL) have been using this playoff system for 25 years. I also love CFL football so I like more games does not cheapen regular season. How many times the past few years everyone game week 18 meant nothing and it was full of pack ups pretty much every team will have something to play for the last week. Also will have less match ups were one teams does not care and the other is a must win down the stretch.

I look at the first round thing less as playoffs and more as a seeding round to determine which of the 6 slots each gets. Also, it may now be possible to have Grey Cup matches we never had before more easily.

If anyone saw a lot of Daniels, it would have been Danny McManus; that is the area he scouts, and he was quick to say Daniels when Walters asked who we're going with.

Official, Elks transfer his rights to Bombers so he can sign

Marc-Antoine Dequoy has retired, I guess it was either Als or retirement.

In a blow to the rest of the teams around the league the Riders have released Brett Lauther
