Appleton has been playing right wing pretty much the entire year. I don't recall him ever playing center... maybe really early on in the season.

Appleton definitely has a shot and he has been playing wing all year with the Moose.... that's probably where he slots in with the Jets too.

It was 4-1 Moose going into the third and then things really came off the rails. I'd say it was a team breakdown more than on Mason. 6 PIM for Petan... three minors. Iowa scored to open the third period, right after their PP on a Petan penalty ended, and then they scored a couple more times before the Moose got the game back under control. Said it before but Niku's a player. He'll be in the NHL at some point next season, IMO. I liked Spacek's game too. It is crazy that the Jets can have such a young lineup including guys like Morrissey, Connor and Roslovic yet the prospect cupboard is still so full.

There are always plenty of tickets available for Jets games. I tend to get good deals from people trying to get rid of them the day of. I don't even like sitting in the 300s. I can't imagine I would ever buy a ticket to sit in a level even higher up than that, even if it was only $60.

Why can the CFL not allow us to sort by column. Every damn time with these stupid lists on their website, you can't sort by column. I'd love to look at the roster by position not just name. Or sort the results by fastest time to slowest time, etc. This is the most basic stuff. Why is their website such junk!!!! MAKE ME SO MAD!!!!

They are stylistically two completely different players. Morrow made it to the NHL based on his offensive abilities and was even getting power play time in Montreal. He's similar size to Morrissey and not overly physical. Chiarot is purely a stay-at-home, big, physical defenceman. They're really not the same at all. Morrow has bumped Poolman down the depth chart, IMO... if we were down to our 8th defenceman, you'd see Morrow in the lineup rather than Poolman.

If Chicago wants to go in the toilet ala Detroit, then yeah it probably would be a good move.

It's not that bad... if you're beaten so badly that you don't think you have a play on the ball, then you're probably not going to be able to interfere with the player, either. It would be very difficult to consciously make that decision on the fly. I believe some high school conferences in the US allow refs to assess an extra 15 yards if the interference appears intentional. Same thing with TDs... it does add a little extra complexity but generally if you are going to tackle a guy in the endzone rather than letting him catch the ball, you're still giving them the ball at the one with four (or three) cracks at the endzone. There aren't many situations where that is a smart play. It actually works out fine most of the time and you don't get bogus 40 yard PI's.

Maybe. Although he is one of the best coaches of all time while Hartman is just some 23 year old kid.

I don't know how anyone could not like this move. Stastny is such a huge upgrade and the price was very reasonable. We are already loaded with young prospects... we can afford to start moving some assets.
