  1. We could have signed Burris, that was all about money. We also could have drafted Pruneau as we drafted prior to #5, but we chose Goossen (which was a fine choice). And like I said, very few of those Canadians from the expansion draft were still with Ott when they won, so.... not seeing the relevance.
  2. OK... how many players from the expansion draft were still with the Redblacks when they won the Cup? One, two? I don't see the relevance.
  3. Rush has a better shot at making the team at FB. Our Canadian linebacker corps is pretty crowded: Garrett Waggoner, Sam Hurl, Thomas Miles, Akeem Whonder, Jesse Briggs, Shayne Gauthier, Frank Renaud
  4. I don't see how that's correct. Contracts aren't guaranteed, if the Bombers wanted to cut everyone and start from scratch then there was nothing preventing them from doing so.
  5. Bombers website: Carr spent two seasons at the helm for the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas after transferring from Fresno State. Over those two years, he played in 23 games and threw for 4,995 yards and 52 scores. He also added six scores along the ground. As a senior, he connected on 64% of his passes and averaged just over 225 yards per game. He finished his college career ranking second all-time in school history for passing while throwing 31 touchdowns to just eight interceptions as a senior in 2016. 6. In my opinion Laine fell far out of it and I'd be hesitant to even put him in the top 3. Matthews and Matt Murray are the clear top 2 and Werenski/Laine would be an interesting conversation about who is number 3. Mid season I would have put Laine number one but he ran out of gas.
  7. If Babcock was coaching Laine he wouldn't have been in the top six all year. Good bad you decide.
  8. Montreal... failed by the coach they hired... twice. I bet there are a lot of pissy fans in Montreal right now.
  9. How did spuds know this article was coming? Or did he know? Does spuds exist? Does Cristo exist? What is the meaning of life? These are the questions
  10. I had no idea they were that old. I would have guessed 28-30. huh.
  11. Ahmed Johnson! Speaking of guys who injure people, lol. The Pearl River Plunge!
  12. I have a hard time believing that. But another poor showing in the playoffs next year may result in them moving on from Quenneville. Chicago's core is still very strong - Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook, and Crawford are all in their prime. It's just a matter of surrounding them with the right pieces. The challenge is that the amount of money allocated to those five players means that almost everyone else on the roster has to be making a million or less.
  13. I like the Oilers' style but I get this sneaking suspicion that we are entering an era where the Jets and Oilers start meeting in the playoffs all the time and it will be Scheifele vs McDavid and something just seems so familiar about that scenario and I don't like where it's going.
  14. OK not soft just always injured and utilizes a soft moveset.
  15. Oh damn I didn't watch any rassling last week, I missed it. Not too surprised though, since Balor is so soft.
  16. Greg Jones looked pretty overweight last year
  17. ????
  18. Maybe. There is also the consideration of people being invited but turning it down. However there aren't really that many good American goalie options out there that aren't in the playoffs right now. No American goalie in the league this year had more wins than Hellebuyck.
  19. EDM-PIT. It's coming......
  20. I'm not naive enough to think I can tell when someone is on steroids or not by looking at them. I can make an educated guess, and certainly with Jinder Mahal I would lean towards 'yes'. But on the other hand, with the right person on the right diet and workout program, I can't say his gains/results are impossible. I've seen people get pretty shredded naturally (or so they claim... who knows?). If he truly worked his ass off and did everything the right way, damn that's pretty cold to condemn him as a steroid abuser. Test the man... and if he passes, he passes. Either way, good on him taking life by the balls and bringing his wrestling career back from the dead. Taking steroids may show a lack of integrity, but there are lots of unemployed people with integrity to burn, and it ain't paying the bills. If he's clean, I give him double props.
  21. LOL! I don't know about the nipples but Jinder is ******* jacked
  22. Also, injuries.
  23. Or they're bringing in 15 receivers like they do every single year
