That's correct. Whether they have to pass through waivers or not is based on their "waiver-exempt" status which is determined by age and number of NHL games played. After doing a little research, I can confirm that Tanev is no longer waiver-exempt and would have to pass through waivers to go to the Moose. The author, Sandy Garossino, is certainly left-biased but I find her articles to generally be quite fair. She is very credible when it comes to law-related issues. And in this article she makes some great points about whether Omar Khadr was guilty of throwing the grenade or not. But (and I can't speak for everyone on this, only my own opinion), the issue is not whether he threw the grenade. The issue is that he was part of a terrorist organization (that's a fact) and we just apologized to him and gave him 10 million dollars.

The important thing to remember is that it doesn't matter how they come up with prices. If you think a player is overpriced, don't pick him. If he seems underpriced, that's a good pick. It's all about points per dollar. The pricing system could be completely arbitrary and it would have no effect on the game.

Tough to argue with that. I believe management thought Bass was more of a WIL than an MLB. Which I would agree with. But then the question becomes Wild vs Bass. I think Wild is the better player and leader but his durability has been in question for awhile. It would have been a gutsy move to keep Bass and release Wild but ultimately probably would have been the better decision.

Looked like he wore down very quickly. If he wants to get more reps on defence, his conditioning is going to need some work.
