Interesting perspective here from Lorrie Goldstein:

Bombers unstable Good ship Argo making waves Redemption awaits

Sorry, they don't hand out that job to nobodies. BTW think she's a fantastic choice for the job.

23 years old and he's their #1 defenceman. 5 mil will end up being a bargain.

DON'T JYNX IT!! Playoffs don't count I guess! Surprising! Would have thought it was a lot better against us. SAD! -
Is the lack of harvesting the problem, or is the inappropriate use of illegal immigrants as a low-cost workforce the problem? Are you in favour of exploiting illegal immigrants by paying them lower than minimum wage? That doesn't seem right.

That article is all about whether he threw the grenade or not. But that's only one part of the issue, although it does seem to get the most focus. Whether he threw it or not, he abandoned Canada and joined a terrorist organization and almost certainly participated in activities such as bomb-building and assisting the terrorist organization in other ways. I think that's what more people are upset about. The fact that he was a terrorist and he has now received an apology and large cash settlement from the taxpayer in a shady backroom deal. Now, it is obviously more nuanced than that, since he was young and impressionable and you may even argue brainwashed. But you still can't expect that situation to sit well with most people.

That weak-side half spot tends to get the most action... I'd be really reluctant to put a rookie there, especially one that's already been lit up pretty bad. Derek Taylor had a great tweet about the Bombers having that weak-side locked down. So that's one positive at least.

He will probably wait for another NFL chance. If he is still available by next training camp, I would expect him to be here... but no earlier than that. -

Oh great here comes another sharpshooter @Floyd -
Everyone panic!!!!

Looks like it's Kyle Knox.
-
True. But I mean, I've also watched all the games, in many cases multiple times, and I'm pretty confident in saying that Wild is a top-tier linebacker in the CFL. Citing tackle numbers is just a lot easier than going through and pointing at every play he has or has not made. In the end it's just an opinion either way.
-
That's the problem you see? I don't think anyone is saying Steph is the mother considering White Woman + White Man does not equal Jason Jordan.
-
Ehhh... not so sure about that one. He's been the heart of the defence while healthy. Was on pace for 105 tackles last year which would have put him 4th in the league behind Elimimian, Bear Woods, and Bighill. Wild's problem is he can't stay healthy.
-
We have the Knox bros. But that seems a little quick to give up on Washington. He was fine in game 1.

Hmm interesting perspective because Gable has been getting singles matches. Also wouldn't be the first instance of Angle/American Alpha speculation.
-
The thing is, this angle has to go somewhere and we all believe we're heading for Angle vs HHH, right? If the story is "Angle is gay", what do you even do with that? It's like... ok he's gay. Are we going to have a homophobic heel wrestler try to fight him?

Update: I am the best. Jeremiah Johnson.

I wouldn't classify him as a refugee, I would just help him get back on his feet in the same way the gov't helps a refugee. I believe Khadr's case is quite unique and as such he would deserve unique treatment. I wouldn't want to just bring him back to the country and send him out on his own with no friends or family and very little education.
-
I tire of this argument. My beliefs are that: Omar Khadr was screwed by his family and they are the real villains in this ordeal. Omar Khadr did not deserve to be held in Guantanamo Bay. Omar Khadr should have been brought back to Canada. Omar Khadr should have been allowed to walk free if it was determined he was not a risk to the Canadian public. Omar Khadr should never have received a rich settlement nor an apology. He should have been given exactly that which is given to new refugees by the Canadian government and allowed to integrate into society as a new refugee would. Paying a large settlement, under cover of secrecy and outside the rule of law, to a former terrorist (whether as a child or not) is the height of absurdity and a black mark on this government. And that's all I will say, and no one will change my mind on any of these six points. I think many people feel the same way I do.
-
IMO this is bigger than just dollars and cents cost to the taxpayer. There are important principles here and precedents being set. If the government fights and loses, so be it. But at least they're going through the appropriate channels and standing up for what's right. Again, in my opinion.
-
Maybe, maybe not. That's an assumption but it's not necessarily correct. I'd rather the government kept fighting and did it the right way rather than capitulating and doing a shady deal in secrecy.
