Love this move. Walters has already done more in 6 months than Mack did in 4 years ...
I disagree with these kind of statements.... Mack brought in lots of good young guys on the D.... what about Washington, Sears, Wild, Turner, Gilmore and a few others?
His greatest fault of course was the QB and O-line and O-Coordinators which killed us.... but to say he didn't bring in talent on D is a stretch.
Mack brought some talent but was also blessed with some guys when he got here that were brought in by Taman and even Kelly. Not sure if it was his style or whatever but he couldn't or wouldn't sign or trade for a FA that could compliment and strengthen what he was trying to build here and that's what ultimately did him in. Ya we had no QB but that was his job and he couldn't get one. Our o-line got progressively worse as well and that's also on him. Anyway don't want to talk about him anymore. Good job Kyle.

The Riders are finding that out as well. Huff know that, though. Signing Randle was a big part of the equation that is now gone. But wow, look at the talent on that team anyway despite losing Randle. Unreal. The problem with having a very deep and talented roster under the SMS, like Calgary, is that you cannot pay everyone what they are worth or would command in the open market.
Its getting harder and harder to see where the stamps end and you begin..

Forgot to mention ... thanks Cvetty, enjoy your retirement!

He shouldn't have cut his hair

Ralph Brock actually made me Ralph less than Brock Ralph did truth be told ...
-
Drew Willy wore #16 in Buffalo.
PS Who is Ralph?
See what you did there
-
Who is this new Jason Vega fellow he brought in? I kid, I kid ... hopefully they are better than what was here.
-
Yep, time to move on ... watch JJ have an all-star season with the REDBLACKS LOL (he's still four years younger than the DB we recently traded for)
-
Would it upset Glenn?
Who?
-
Be nice if Drew could keep his number 5 (take it from Simpson if he's even here). Kind of cool to think that 40 years ago in 1974 another QB wearing number 5 made his way to the Bombers and had a pretty good career ...
Let's hope getting our new "number 5" is the start of very good things with the QB position on this team!

Jyles became Etienne who became Willy. Circle of life.
unfortunately the Argos got Ray out it ...
-
Not surprised about Jade, was hoping to see Stewart back. Sounds like the Bombers are going in a different direction.

Trade for Willy? Are you mad? So you trade for him. In a week he is a free agent. You then have to negotiate a new contract. Maybe a role of tape. Relax wait a week.
Supposedly the idea is to trade for him under the assumption he signs a contract with us like Mike Reilly did with the Eskies last year.
-
He's going to BC ... this is good news
-
It seems for a period of a few years the Bombers were more concerned about/distracted by the new stadium etc than they were about the product on the field. Now that the stadium is a reality I hope Miller understands that the product on the field is the new priority.

The sad part is their dream usually involves playing for someone else at more money LOL ...

Proud to work for an organization that encourages players to chase their dreams. Got get'em @HenocMuamba #onceabomberalwaysabomber

Burris is gone and quite frankly (no pun intended) it may not be the worst thing that has ever happened to this franchise despite the angst on here yesterday. With our current o-line Burris may have been able to do some things but we still would not have the ability to move the ball at will at times like the better teams (with good o-lines) do. Besides the fact that we would not be able to afford to upgrade the line, Burris is almost at his best before date. If we use the money that would have went to him and invest it in rebuilding that line (both draft and FA over the next few seasons) we will be much better off in the long run than if we had paid ole Smilin' Stank a big wad of cash. It's not sexy but a guy like Willy and a much improved o-line could take us much further in the next few seasons than Burris IMO. And it's not just because his career may be winding down. Fix that line and get a competent if not good QB and we'll be further ahead than we've been in about 7 years, coincidentally the last time we spent some coin on the o-line. Hopefully we can get a good o-lineman to sign here. When it comes to pending FA's ... somebody's got to be a risk taker ...

Buck Pierce lite ...

Sounds like he wants to be a starter eventually, hopefully soon ...
-
Last time Burris signed with a new team he took them to a 6 - 12 record in his first season.
