  1. Wish nothing but the best of luck fulfilling a dream and making a ton of bank for a few solid guys and great ball players. It's all you can do...
  2. Congrats DoD. Welcome back...
  3. They also worked together at Cal too. Ya I may have misunderstood the tweets referring to Cal, and assumed it was Stampeders. I assume you guys are talking about some other American team?
  4. Back to the original topic of BC HC, rumours that Jeff Telford (??) close to being named HC. As an aside, he and Cortez worked together in Calgary...
  5. Let's take the DC out of the equation. If a veteran player is asked to play more of a "mentor-back up role" by any coach, on any team, and he feels he can still play the game, why would he not accept that role…and play his way back onto a roster? There have been many instances where a player is asked to do just that…and he does it, all for the good of the team - you know, the reason why he's still employed and given another chance. That's a leader…and I would venture to say, a reason why he was brought here in the first place. Hell we can look at this past season for a couple examples. Alex Suber got hurt in preseason and lost his spot on the roster to a new guy playing well. We didn't hear a peep out of the guy about being unhappy and he didn't throw any hissy fits and quit, just showed up to practise and eventually got traded. Or Johnny Sears, got hurt, couldn't get back on the roster for ratio reasons. No bitching and moaning or quitting, just practised hard and waited for his chance to get back on the roster then played so well they couldn't take him out again. Part of being a football player is the professional part. Everyone on that team feels like they should be a starter, sometimes you have to put the team ahead of yourself and just work harder to get what you want. Sure but you think Sears is going to re-sign here after the way they treated him? No way. What exactly did they do to him? He got hurt and lost his spot. This is not an egregious event. I'd think he'll be more than happy to come back next year and he knows he'll be a big part of their plans, too...
  6. I've heard from really good sources that the players absolutely DESPISED Doug Berry, fwiw. One roster player was quoted as saying, after Berry got fired, "I knew I'd outlast that prick here..."
  7. How do you know they didn't? Just because the media hasn't reported it/doesn't know about it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I, for one, prefer when stuff like this happens under the table, rather than in the public eye.
  8. He may be unorthodox but until injuries hit hard, shining a light on the razor-thin depth, he was getting results. This is all about Banks showing his true colours...
  9. Need more of the bolded, and less of anything else...
  10. Wearing Camo-anything in public should be a floggable offense. Unlesss you are hunting, dress like a human...
  11. I refuse to believe that Vega was healthy and played that badly. Had to be dinged up...he's better than that.
  12. Imagine the reaction around here if we demoted a coach citing differences in football philosophies but then offered to give him a secondary role within the staff? Morbidly curious to see what Iso's reaction would be... #HilarityEnsues
  13. The kid is a complete tool, and it's absolutely an attention-whoring thing. He's like Charles Roberts, only doesn't (relatively speaking) produce nearly as much. Unless you're putting up huge numbers, you don't allow this kind of personality to poison your locker room.
  14. He wasn't playing.....gotta find a way to get him on the field next year. When he plays, he produces.
  15. Kohlert, Watson and JFG....if you can keep 'em all healthy, all are extremely useful NI Rec's.....
  16. Kane is a goof and everyone in the league knows it, so there's that "reputation" tag that he has to carry it around. A guy like this is never going to get the benefit of doubt from anyone.
  17. the league desperately needs retraction...not expansion. Too many teams = too many sub-par players to fill out the rosters. If we went back to 21 teams, you'd see the level of hockey increase dramatically because there'd only be room for the best of the best players.
  18. this one maybe doesn't have the mass appeal of Leggett, but it's a solid, underrated move. Greaves has been a consistent performer and is a great guy to have locked up.
  19. Curiously, no Ben Heenan on this list for Sask....
  20. http://cfl.ca/article/2015-free-agent-tracker Official list unveiled today....
  21. I legit would not pay more than $10 This. And that's only to add it to the collection... not to actually wear or look at it. ...and they'd better throw in the stitching for free...
  22. Yeah, that's probably the most important information (to me) coming outta all this. The fact that he's willing to sign a big extension backs up the very positive things he has to say about the organization as a whole. This seems, to me, that the culture change is really happening...
  23. And you call me a nerd. Psshhh... It's more about being an old man who shuns all modern things.... Except my LG G2.
  24. Fwiw, filled up at 88.9 tonight at Costco in Red Deer. Love....
  25. Ya for all the shitting on BLT people like to do, he had quite a few forced fumbles this year. For a rookie outta CIS, he was better than okay...
