I kinda like this idea. I think once the 4th and final Avengers movie is done, they should do a whole new thing....some actors will have aged out of the role (RDJ) and some might just want to do other stuff, so why not go in a mostly-new direction featuring players yet-to-be-seen like X-Men and others.....that could be fun.

exactly this....we're never going to be the place where a proven, in-demand vet coach goes........but if we hire right, we can get the "next" great, proven, in-demand vet coach.....

that Avengers trailer looks insane. When Panther gives the speech about batten down the hatches, get the defenses ready....AND GET THIS MAN A SHIELD..... I almost started clapping. This trailer, alone, is better than anything DC has done since Dark Knight Rises...

Lots of assistants.....almost NO HCs....didn't know about Cal in BC. Thought it was just Edm as Asst.....but my point remains the same. Winnipeg is a destination for rookies...not in-demand, experienced vets.

How many of those great coaches were veterans with proven success elsewhere in the CFL? Ritchie is the only one I can think of... Riley was a rookie. Cal Murphy was a rookie. How far back you wanna go? Bud Grant was a rookie. They all panned out, thank Christ...

the whole "hire the best guys!" argument is so old and tired. It's been debunked forever. The unfortunate reality is that we're talking about Winnipeg. We have a great new stadium and a stable hierarchy at the top, but we're still Winnipeg who hasn't won in a billion years and are not the most desirable city to live in (especially compared to Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc...) I remember Lawless going over all this before MOS was hired and saying "Listen, we're never going to get the Trestman's or Huff's of the world, so what we have to do is hire the very best rookie we can get, and pray they develop"......

Odds of getting hit by a bus vs odds of getting hurt playing football when you've already suffered significant injuries playing the sport...........seriously. I'm not arguing one way or another, but get a better argument than that.

Knox *may* have been a bust at MACK, but he's turned into a quality special teamer and can play outside LB....and who knows, maybe in year 2 he shows better in the MACK spot in TC...?

I know people keep making this comparison, but I believe Ray is a fair bit older than AC was when Trestman took over, no? And Ray is far more beat up than AC was. Not saying he can't play another couple years, but I don't think this comparison is necessarily apt...

Amen to this. I had more fun watching the Bombers, and their whole Fort Hew campaign, than I have in many many years...can't even remember. The legit love all the players have for one another and the coach is so cool to see, and when I see Wade Miller out shoveling snow off the seats before a playoff game, I know the team cares about their fans. This week I'm buying my plane ticket home for CFL Week in March, and I can't WAIT to get the 2018 season rolling...

I'm not sure how good Trestman looks without a proven veteran QB, so if Frito packs 'er in, they'll immediately be on the hunt for someone proven...

Remember when the Argos fired all of their staff right before FA and didn't bring in a new staff till late.... And we all laughed about how ****** they were.......

Shania was dressed really weird but I love her music and personality. She's so Canadian it's almost unbelievable. Still, at her core, just a small town girl from Timmins. Shitty football, but entertaining as hell.... Having a blast watching this.
