  1. But people said before even seeing it shake out that Bridges was gonna be a bad choice... no hindsight required. What makes you think people can't make similar judgements at other positions? And that's exactly what coaches and gms get paid to do. So why do ours resist making these obvious changes? 1/3rd of the season to make changes people here said should happen on day 1... not a great look.
  2. How dare you question professional coaches and their ability to judge talent.
  3. I'd take a DL of garbutt, fox, adams and person over what we have now... without question. Thomas at his best was a rotational piece and his best is long gone, Jefferson used to be one of the very best but he no longer is, vaughters is fine and Lawson is fine but they're not exactly game breakers either. This idea that oshea is just the beat at building a roster is laughable. Not to say Booch has it all right or anything like that, but oshea has some blindspots when it comes to roster usage. That's been demonstrated for over a decade now.
  4. Biggest issue is that the only depth at receiver is Cobb... that seems like playing with fire. Kramdi at safety is maybe a concern but maybe his brain will help get the assignments right? I dunno. Tbd. Lot of the non-injury changes I am fine with.
  5. Be fair, they are all cfl receivers... just where's the top end guys.
  6. Just ridiculous that Bridges got 6 games before being yanked. Everyone saw that being a bad move in preseason.
  7. Changing players sooner would have avoided some of these results. That's all we're saying. Look I know osh ain't getting fired this year, but we can talk about blame here all we want.
  8. This isn't a democracy... majority of fan opinions don't change the teams performance. Know what else hurts fan engagement? Looking like complete ass on field and losing games.
  9. The buck stops with the head coach ultimately. If his coordinators are pushing for subpar roster usage coach needs to set it right.
  10. Just ******* put Mitchell in. He's a guy the team targeted in FA, you don't jerk around with things like this. Play the dude and if he sucks you can always cut him.
  11. Also gotta take into account that when streveler has come in the last couple games it's been in a hole with things not working already. So how much is garbage time and how much is having to try and dig out of a hole (more risks, etc etc)
  12. My thoughts were keep brown and let he and streveler figure out who the man was. Trade collaros for assets (and let's be honest Ottawa was desperate and probably would have loved to get collaros at the time). You save money on qb position and can bolster other areas of the team. Would brown have been injured here? Who knows. Different team different circumstances.
  13. Collaros started the year as the MOP front runner and the fell off HARD and Brady was the guy that dragged the offense along the rest of the year (and has since). Was plain as day what was happening and the Bombers went the "safe" route rather than taking the risk which ultimately would have been better for the team.
  14. He wasn't though. That yesr was the start of his fall off. He was still living off his reputation at that point. Brown outperformed collaros that season.
  15. So old qb not playing to the level he was... old OL which is crap compared to it's hey day and dl which is crap compared to its hey day.... so yes age is catching up to this team. Used to win by dominating the lines of scrimmage but now they get their asses kicked on the LOS game in game out.
  16. Worst thing to happen was losing 2022 cup by 1 point with collaros being injured. They ran it back one too many times, which of course everyone was all in favour of, but with the benefit of hindsight...
  17. 2022 they were still a good team, they should have started more transition that offseason though. 2023 they were still a good team but some performance was sliding. Last season still mostly good (D in particular) but some more cracks showing. This season though age has fully caught up to them.
  18. Doesn't matter what the majority think and nobody wants the team to be bad, quite the opposite, we want to continue kicking ass and taking names. But some people see the sink into mediocrity happening and saw it earlier.
  19. that 2019 playoff defence was ******* dominant and Andrew Harris was mr. everything for the offense. because the early part of the season the secondary was leaky people don't always appreciate just how bloody good the D was in the post season.
  20. hey if Hamilton is in the grey cup then winnipeg damned sure better be there too.
  21. we never really went Nichols to Zach... Nichols was hurt and streveler took over from him for the better part of the back half of the season, but he also got the ankle injury. Collaros started 1 game in the regular season in 2019 and then in the playoffs split time with Streveler and both leaned on Andrew Harris anyway. The difference in 2019 were things like moving Alexander to safety, bringing in Taylor at halfback and Maston at SAM and there was another DB came in who I can't remember his name right now... those were the key moves in making 2019 a championship team. solidified the weakness of the defence and turned them into monsters.
  22. The process only works when you have good enough players, which the team has had largely for the past several years. They don't have that anymore and time to change the process. Free ride is over Osh. Time to be a head coach again.
  23. Kelly's been here for what? 3 years now? How much more developing does he need?
